Strong coffee. Not enough seating in my opinion but the quality of the coffee is very good. the people are decent. Would have to go back a few more times to really get a feel.
4If you are a serious coffee lover (if you drink the coffee from the corner deli and you like it, you're not the person I'm addressing) then this is the place for you. These people don't mess around with their coffee....they don't even bother selling decaf. Their coffee is strong, dense, robust and delicious . In this city that's full of disgusting, gray, weak, lukewarm beverages that they try to call coffee, Gorilla is a dream come true for us real coffee lovers. The regular coffee is amazing, but the latte's and cappucino's are orgasmic. Seriously.
The lines are usually out the door, but it's worth the wait. Grab yourself a bag of their lovely, dark, oily beans and make it for yourself at home.

This place has excellent coffee, if you like it strong, that is, but the staff that I grew to know and love is disappearing at an alarming rate. All the baristas that I used to come in and talk to no longer work there, and I hear nothing but complaints about the owner. It's true that the bathroom is consistently filthy, especially when it gets busy, and they've made some nice rennovations, but I always feel like the place could be alot cleaner.

Pros: good coffee
Cons: bad management, dirty
The coffee is good and strong, but the employees (except for one or two) are aloof to downright rude. Maybe they once were the only game in town for a great cup of joe, but no longer. (Check out Mule one block away on 4th).

Pros: coffee, atmosphere
Cons: service
Delicious, fresh coffee. Not great ownership. Expensive gift sets. But man, the coffee's good, it can't be denied.

Pros: Excellent coffee, cute ambience
Cons: Ownership stinks
The coffee is great. The music is great. The decor is great. The staff is funny and also just really great. The bathroom is disgustingly dirty but I've overlooked that. However, I'm not going back. For four days the owner of Gorilla has left her employees without air conditioning in this record breaking heat. The staff walks around like zombies and they look ill. It is at least 15 degrees hotter inside Gorilla than outside. I am appalled that they are forced to work without any AC. It's embarrassing and says too much about the owner.

Pros: They don't dont outweigh the bad
Cons: Bad employee politics
Neighborhood feel, world-class quality; great place to pick up a drink and run, or if time allows, hang-out for a good vibe

Gorilla makes a damn fine cup of joe and gives Park Slope some rock and roll chutzpah. I love their smooth and strong ice coffee...and am running out to get one now.
