Julian Pie Co

Smells are wonderful and make your mouth water before you even enter the building. We had pie and ice cream and both were superb. Both the ladies who were working there were outgoing and friendly. The store included gift items, which reflected the apple growing areas.

I love driving up to Julian on a beautiful day and a few times I've stopped at the Julian Pie Company in Santa Ysabel.

The pies are good but not incredible like some of the pies you can buy in town.

Still- it's a nice place to stop.

The Julian Pie Company stores that are outside Julian are good, but nothing compared to the pies in the heart of the town. Julian has to deliver the pies on a truck and then the pies will sit in the store. Sometimes they crust gets flaky because the pie has been sitting out for a while. It is not too bad, but if you plan to get one ask the store ahead of time when their next shipment is so the pie is fresh as can be.

This is a little bit of drive for us but well worth the trip. We make a day out of it when we go to Julian. And the finally is stopping by to take at least one pie if not two home with us.
What a treat. These pies are made with love. If you are ever
in the area this is a must.

You simply cannot go to Julian without stopping in for a piece of pie, or buy a whole one to take home. My favorite is the crumb top rhubarb pie. Delicious!

My favorite pie is the strawberry rhubarb. You can get these pies in select stores throughout San Diego but, coming to Julian is far better. The pies are so fresh and delicious. I drive here for all special occasions needing a pie.

Their dutch apple pie is the best I have ever had! Every time we go to Julian, we purchase at least one whole pie. They also serve the most delicious cinnamon ice cream. We usually buy a pint of it. The pie crust is flaky and just plain, YUM!!

This is, hands down, the best pie I've ever had. The french apple pie is to die for. Be sure to ask for ice cream on the side, and if you're feeling adventurous, go for the cinnamon ice cream. This is a popular Julian pitstop, so be warned that it can get crowded.

There is nothing like apple pie and there is nothing like appe pie from Julian Pie Company. It is perfect. It's at it's best warm. You can have it served with cinnamon ice cream. yummm. If you go to their shop you can buy pie by the slice or the whole pie. They also have other pastries and pie crust cookies, those are our favorite.

Anyone who knows Julian is familiar with its famous apple pies, baked fresh daily and exported to cities and towns nearby. The VA hospital by UCSD hosts a stand selling them occasionally, as does the local Albertsons. My boyfriend and I headed to the source one day on a trip to Julian, and we were not disappointed. The pies taste even better when you are in the quaint little town, and be sure to add a scoop of cinnamon ice cream to your slice of crumb topped apple pie.
