I have had Dr. Grellet as my Doctor for over 20 years now. Prior to discovering Dr. Grellet I spent 15 years going from doctor to doctor. The reason being I never felt loyal to any one doctor is due to never quite feeling like they listened to me or felt like I was in a cattle car. I was referred to Dr. Grellet by Dr. Wetterholt of Saratoga Walk In Clinic in Saratoga. Dr. Wetterholt became my main doctor for over 5 years after going through at least 20 different doctors. He is a most excellent doctor who also cared about his patients. He made you feel like he would get to the bottom of it no matter what. When I started having hot flashes Dr. Wetterholt referred me to Dr. Grellet better known as Cathy. She is an internist. She was this unusually cheery upbeat little lady (I am 5??10? so everyone is little to me) who was so pretty and looked to be about 40 who came in with a song in her voice and a spring in her step. She sung out ??Well how are you today?? She then initiated a most personal conversation about who I am and what I like to do. Then when we got down to business??.In a ??Motherly concerned voice she would softly lower and get close to you and say? ??Were going to fix this, you don??t worry. We are going to make you right as rain.? I believed her. It was so sincere how could you not. She makes suggestions and then makes sure you are a part of the cure. She insists you be involved and give continual feedback as she cannot diagnose anyone properly without their feedback. She always writes everything down on a little pink paper so you don??t forget what your instructions are. Her Nurse Practitioner Lopa Patel emulates her in just about every way. They work synergistically together. Lopa is even more cheery if you can believe that and for this petite little girl to give you such a confident feeling she is taking care of you and involved in your recovery. This is the first time in my life I have felt such confidence in a PA that I would take Lopa over any Doctor: Dr. Wetterholt and Dr. Grellet exception to that. I must say though Lopa is on equal standing with them in competence and compassion. I have had many odd medical conditions over the last 20 years while under her care. Living 1 hour a way now I still make the trip back to her. I can remember 4 years back returning from a week in Mexico I had develop a ??Chronic? Case of Hives & Angio Edema. I was hospitalized in Mexico before I could endure the trip home & went strait to the Emergency Room. 2 Weeks of severe itching I would black out. In and Out of the Emergency Rooms & referred to local allergists and ended up seeing 4 so they confer with each other. Living off of ??Organic ground up Oatmeal? and water however the hives kept on coming. Sleeping in a Bathtub full of oatmeal and Benedryl is no fun. I finally endured the itching and made it to Dr. Grellets 1 hour away. She was my very last hope. I was so lost, bewildered, confused and drained from the chronic itching and had blood marks from the scratching over my body. She walked in the room, took one look at me and then gave me a shot of Benedryl and an oral anxiety pill to calm the brain. She knew exactly what I had right away. 4 doctors could not scratch the surface but she knew. She said ?? I have some good news and I have some bad news.? ??The good news is we can get the itching under control ?? make you comfortable and you can have your life back.? ?? I am going to take care of you?Don??t you worry!? She then said ??The bad news is you have an autoimmune disorder to where your body is attaching itself. It will last as long as 6 ?? 8 months and disappear as mysterious as it came. It only happens to women whom had thyroid problems in prior years.? Her words were comforting as she put her arms around me and held me tight. That was priceless. She gave me a ??cocktail of anti-histamines?. Zantac, Atarax, Benedryl, Doxepin. They each attack histamines from a different direction. I also received Klonopin to calm the brain so the medicine can work. I made it though the ordeal which is just 1 of many she has pulled me through over the years. More recently I thought my thyroid has gone low ??again? as I was sleeping 18 hours a day. She had me come in for the results which I thought odd. She gently and softly let me know I had ??Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome? and my thyroid was fine. I had gone through 2 years of high intense stress with several family members and when the stress released I began sleeping. I did not feel depressed just sleepy but found she was accurate in her diagnosis. She gave me a list of what to do and what vitamins to take. It was several months but I finally pulled through under her care. She treats the mind and the body. She says our body and mind is all one organism and not separate. They are not just Doctors to me. Cathy and Lopa are my HEROES and I am blessed to have them.

Dr. Catherine Grellet and her nurse practitioner, Lopa Patel, are a wonderful team! She not only has helped me but also saved my niece when she flew in from New York. She and Lopa make you feel very comfortable and they take their time and listen. I would strongly recommend them for anyone who wants an excellent doctor. I have been a patient for 17 years.

PROS: Access to other good doctors, very knowledgeable

I've been going to Cathy Grellet for almost 20 years, and have always enjoyed superior care. When HMO's came about, I left for one year, but was so dissatisfied by the limited hurried care, I returned. Cathy specialises in women's health-care, and is very knowledgeable. She and Lopa Patel,FNP, her Nurse Practitioner, always take their time with you, and never hurry. The entire staff is professional and wonderful, and I've never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room. They are also very prompt getting back to patients with test results. They are not patronizing, and always make you feel like whatever is wrong with you, they will do their best to resolve.

PROS: Great doctor & staff
CONS: Doesn't accept some insurance plans, but you can submit yourself.
