Honest and family oriented. As a single female, I always feel like mechanics take advantage of me. It's so wonderful to have a shop I can trust! Good job Red Mountain Tire!

Everyone has always been very nice to me at Red Mountain. Up until now I've only used them for oil changes, but last week I had some major maintenance done on my Saturn. I wanted the car to be in tip top shape for a trip. That was Wednesday. The first time I drove away from Red Mountain, my a/c wouldn't cool down right away - it took some time. THE FIRST TIME! I thought it was odd. When the problem continued, I went back (this was on Saturday) and was told that it was just the hot weather, that it takes a few miles before the air will start blowing cool. Okay... Monday, it was way worse, and I called. Now... and this is my fault, because I know nothing about cars... I should have taken the car in by ambulance, with the sirens blaring. It seems to me that, with the info I was giving them, they might have given me some advice to get the car in asap. But I made an appointment for Wednesday. The next day (Tuesday) my car overheated like crazy. I barely made it home. On Wednesday, there was greenish/yellowish stuff all over my driveway where something had leaked out. I took the car in - $800 in repairs. The fan, the radiator, the water pump, something with the cooling system... But they're nice... Really nice... Was this a coincidence? Perhaps. I don't know. I really don't.

Update: After agonizing, I decided to approach RMTA with my complaints. I spoke with the owner, and he was VERY NICE (they are REALLY VERY NICE.) We went over my complaints, and we reached an agreement - not super, but I can live with it. He gave me a free water pump, because it was only a year and a half old, and he refunded half of the labor on putting it in. But I paid for the fan, and the radiator, (because at some point I would have needed a new one anyway, and I guess mine was pretty bad - it was bowed out on one side) and everything else that had "melted." So I have the satisfaction of knowing that I have a bunch of new stuff in my car, which is nice. Would I recommend them? I'm not sure. The ARE pretty nice. I think their heart is in the right place. Hindsight is 20/20. We should have done something sooner, when I first took the car in with the a/'c running hot. Live and learn...

Unfortunately I had more than one thing wrong with my car, but I took it to Red Mountain Tire and Auto and they fixed every problem in a short amount of time. I was even surprised by the cost, it was lower than I had originally expected! This is really a good auto shop.

This is the only auto shop I trust. They really know what they are doing down there. I've been to auto shops where the mechanics seem to be right out of high school. Red Mountain Tires gives considerably cheap, friendly and fast service. I have never had a complaint against this place. My cars are in top shape thanks to them! What more could you ask for?

I normally hate going into any kind of repair shop, but my experience with Red Mountain Tire was surprisingly a pleasant one. The atmosphere there is so warm and welcoming, unlike other places I have been to. The workers were extremely friendly and happy to help me. My car has not had a single problem since my visit. I would reccommend this place above all others!

I want to like Red Mountain Tire & Auto, I really do. They've always been friendly and courteous to my wife, my mother in law, and myself, so much so that all three of us have taken our cars to them for repairs. It hasn't worked so well, though...

They said they'd put dye in my mother in law's A/C after a leak, so that if another one happened they'd know where it was. It was a positive experience all around, so I took my car in to have the brakes repaired. Two months later, though, the entire car shudders when I brake heavily.

Meanwhile, my mother in law's car did indeed develop another leak in the A/C, and when she took it back in they said they probably didn't put enough dye in, because they couldn't locate the problem.

My wife got her A/C repaired as well, and a day later the belt started squealing. No problem, she took it back in and they tightened it free of charge. But a month later it broke. They replaced it, but now the new one's squealing again, AND the car stalls while idling.

Red Mountain is reasonably priced, and the service is friendly. I'd be willing to overlook a bad part or two. But nothing they fix for us stays fixed. We will not be going back again.

PROS: friendly, reasonably priced
CONS: ineffective
