This mortgage broker left a lot to be desired. He was referred to us by his fiance' who was for an unfortunately extended time our real estate broker. Chris was trying to help us figure out if we could refinance our condo to keep it as a rental property until the condo market in San Diego picked back up. Chris did run numbers for mortgages on a refinance but neglected to tell us there would be negative amortization on such loans. If we had not done independent research on loan availability for rental properties we would have likely ended up with a horrible situation were in a few years we would owe more on our condo then we do now. It is awful to think that person that you trust as a financial consultant would get you in over your head and not even tell you.
