North Park Library

I really like how comfortable this library seems. It is small so if you are looking for an obscure book then you may want to look elsewhere. My favorite part is the childrens section. It is very warm and inviting and they have a nice selection of books and even puzzles! The DVD selection is pretty good as well, although because they are so small the one you are looking for may not be available.

The North Park branch has a pretty decent collection of non-fiction books, particularly cook books and travel guides. The fiction section leaves something to be desired, but it makes up for this with tons of DVDs (it beats paying to rent movies at the video store!), though the Mission Valley location has more. Get there early if you want to use the public internet though, as I've had to wait a half an hour for a computer before. My only major complaint is that the city cut this branch's weekend hours (Sat 9:30-2:30, Sun 1-5).

There's a huge selection of dvds! I always come here to borrow dvds. Of course it's less than the Central library, but more than any other library I've visited in San Diego County. This library has a fairly big kids' section with children's books, toys, puzzles, chairs, tables, blocks, so on. This is the only library I've been to where you can check out Puzzle sets to bring home and return when done. This is a pretty large library. Good amount of computers. Lots of programs. Very children oriented. Always has book sales.
