It would be difficult for a Vietnamese chef to ruin a simple grilled pork bahn mi sandwich - unless, however, he were to use a grade of pork which was so poor as to have impossible to chew gristle in almost every single bite!

The food here is great and reasonably priced. I love their chicken pho and the fresh spring rolls. Their customer service is excellent too - the staff is very helpful and you don't have to wait long at all for your food!

So I have NO idea how authentic this place really is, but I really enjoyed everything about it.
Fun atmosphere, very cute inside and the staff was great and very attentive.
The food was good. I had the Bun with chicken and shrimp. My only complaint was that there were only two pieces of shrimp. The egrolls were good as was the dipping sauce.
Everything was really good, so much in fact that I can overlook the measly two pieces of shrimp.

I do not know if this is authentic Vietnamese food or some kind of fusion. But I know one thing, I LOVE their Pho and all other dishes. Its a small place but I go there whenever I get a chance:) !

The food here is fresh and soooo good. I like the Pho Tom but my favorite dish is the Bun Cha Gio Tom Thit Nuong (cold vermicelli rice noodles). It has chicken, shrimp and egg roll all in one!

The interior is very nice and comfortable. The location is good.
It's located in a small shopping area and there is usually lots of parking, although some of the spaces are too small.

This is not a authentic Vietnamese restaurant, its over-priced..way over priced. I tried their eggs roll and crepe...really plain, no flavor, only had about 3 pieces of chicken and full of bean spouts. Then i had their Pho dac biet. unbelievable only had 3 pieces of beef brisket floating in the bowl of soup, not to mention i got vietnames ice coffee, i had more ice then i had coffee, i asked the waitress why she filled up the ice all the way to the top, and she told me that the policy at their restuarant. worst place every, if you wanna go have some authentic vietnamese food go down to heart of little saigon or rosemead..pho pasteur is a lot better.

My husband & I have been here a few times & always enjoy it. Last time we started with the veggie crepe you wrap in lettuce - delicious. He had beef pho, I had veggie. Wished I had a bigger stomach so I could keep eatting.... And, get this - the safff is attentive & nice - not rude asses like the staff at Gingergrass - imagine that! What a pleasure.

After searching for some vietnamese restaurants in that area and reading some of the reviews, i decided to try this one out. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the eggrolls that came with the lettuce and mint for wrappng and a dipping sauce, they were delicious and not greasy at all as they sometimes tend to be. Also had a beef pho that came in a HUGE bowl and was very flavorful. The iced coffee was very good too. Seems like a cool neighborhood place. Will definitely be back for more.

Bland tasting food, not authentic at all. When I passed by the restraurant and saw the Zagat rated sticker on their door I thought it was worth a try. I was wrong.

the pho and the egg rolls were pretty tasteless, blahhhhh. gingergrass is much better if you want better tasting faux vietnamese. one thing this restaurant has over authentic vietnamese restaurants is that it is super clean.

the veggie pho was great -- and no MSG! my boyfriend got the beef pho, and really liked it too. we were not crazy about the shrimp and chicken crepe, and i would recommend skipping it. but we will definitely be back for the pho.

This place is a total abomination. Everything about this place is fake, right down to the bamboo. Imagine if you will, if hipsters took over a starbucks and decided to make the most contrived restaurant imaginable. That sufficiently describes the appearance and staff.

Now on to the food. I have had Vietnamese food before, so bear in mind this was not my introduction to this cuisine. I ordered the pho, which was $7.50. They handed me a liter of hot water with 4 or 5 marble-sized pieces of meat floating in it, and a box of bean sprouts. To drink, a cup of coca-cola glazed ice cubes.

I'm pretty tolerant of contrived corporate restaurants, as long as the food is good. Though I cannot conceive of one possible reason why anyone would return to eat here, unless they felt like having hot and wet for dinner.

i found this great place on one of my many visits to the los angeles area. the cold bun noodles have a wonderful al dente texture to them. i've seen many that tend to be over-cooked and mushy. the vietnamese crepe was also different from the ones i've had before. it was just stuffed full of ingredients and SO flavorful! the thai iced tea and iced coffee were just right with the perfect amount of sweetness. and for dessert, i had trouble deciding whether i liked the apple or banana fritters more! the only downside was i wasn't able to go back enough times to try every item on the menu!

AMAZING food! Fantastic service! Very affordable. I am totally addicted to their chicken & shrimp rice noodle soup. Everthing from their spring rolls, crepes, cold noodles and even their fried apple fritters for dessert are amazing. I'm totally addicted now! My ONLY wish is that they had more meat & veggie stir-fryish type dishes, for those who can't do noodles, etc.

Pros: FAST & OPEN LATE, DELICIOUS & HEALTHY, AFFORDABLE!

Cons: Not enough, anti-carb dishes

staff is friendly and everybody seems to try hard but the crepe was VERY bland and so was the rice and veggie dish. i didn't have the pho and maybe noodles is what they do best but bottom-line is the the food wasn't very authentic or inventive.

went to Indochine after reading its review in the LA Times. definitely worth our time! the service was great (real friendly staff). my friends and i were seated promptly. we werent familiar with vietnamese food so our waitress recommended their crepe and pho. damn, the crepe was excellent! if you go here, you HAVE to try the crepe. the coconut taste was niiiice...real smooth and buttery-like. their pho broth was great too. very clean-tasting and the plate of bean sprouts and basil that comes along with it was fresh, not old and dry. i highly recommend this place if youre in their neighorhood.

$6 for a decent bowl of noodles with spring rolls - the price is right & so's the vibe at this brand new cafe on the border of Glendale & Silverlake... Low key & low cost. Now I don't have to drive to Chinatown or Alhambra for real Vietnamese food. Veggie-friendly too. Bring on the pho!

A casual but pleasant decor belies their food, which was all lovely! I shared the fried chicken spring rolls (on a scale of 1-10, an 8), beef pho (9). and a chicken and shrimp crepe (10+). It . The crepe was so light and fluffy though the batter wasn't very thick and it's loaded with bean sprouts and sprinkled with shrimp and chicken. The lettuce, mint leaves & bean sporuts provided for the dishes were fresh and they brought us as much as we wanted (and they were eager to explain to us how to use them). Lemonade was very sweet & iced coffee, just sweet enough. Dessert was the topper to an incredible meal- banana egg rolls drizzled with chocolate sauce (or honey or cinammon)-- just perfect for two to share and all for $15 a piece!

went there with friends a couple of nights ago for the first time. the interior is wonderfully decorated. very hip and colorful. bamboo at the window adds a nice touch. the food was excellent. i had one of the pho soup choices and it was flavorful and delicious. also, shared the chicken and shrimp crepes appetizer, which as the waitress explained to me should be wrapped in the lettuce and mint leaves that come with it, and it was truly out of this world. they dont serve alcohol but there is a liquor store about 3 doors down where you can pick up your own wine or beer. they will gladly open the bottle for you (no charge). this place will definitely be a regular spot for me.

We tried this new local restaurant twice, first time we dined in, the second we opted for take out -- both times were horrible. The food was not bad; it was the employees who ruined the experience.

We experienced the worst customer service ever -- seriously, the Subway next door is Nordstrom compared to these people. Our tatted up, fake sincerity, self-focused waitress and the pouty could be bothered counter person (who I really hope is not the manager) were so incredibly rude, unprofessional, and have no understanding of the words hospitality or customer service, which is a record since they havent even been for more than a month.

The food however is not bad for the price point if you can tolerate horrible service and long waits (they are incredibly slow and wont make the more complicated menu items when things get backed up.
