I have been a customer at this Visionworks location for many years and have been very pleased with the service. I am surprised to see such bad reviews and experiences. One time they did mess up my contact order, but they submitted a re-order and gave me a free pair of contacts to make up for the error. Mainly I return because I've had really good eye exams and the prices are resonable.

Do not ever use Doctor??s Visionworks at 1315 North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Colorado because they do not take care of the customer after they get your money. They have a ridiculous 30 day policy limit on slight corrections to your contact lens prescription! After you pay $108.00 for your vision testing and your fitting they will work with you to get your contact lenses for 30 days only after they write a prescription. Kaiser Permanente has a much better 90 day policy on this. Any place in the Springs is better than this place. Doctor??s Visionworks will charge you $70 if you want a slight correction to your contact lens prescription after 30 days! They do not take care of the customer??s needs at all. Please do not use them because they will rip you off and leave you hanging and will refuse to help you after they write you a prescription if 30 days has expired. How ridiculous and rude can a company be towards their customer??s anyway? They also have old antiquated vision testing equipment there and it keeps you coming back over and over to get your vision successfully corrected. Your time is valuable and you need your vision successfully corrected on the first or second try not the fifth try. They never had the same doctor there twice either and I had to deal with someone different each trip. How awful is that? Very awful treatment. One of the young male doctor??s there was very rude. Very unprofessional and degrading towards me. This place needs a class on customer relations to say the least. If you do not believe me go ahead and use them for contact lenses. You will end up feeling ripped off and left hanging out in the cold and upset to say the least. If your chart shows to many trips to their store they will start to mention it to you to make you feel inadequate too. Contact lenses are hard to fit and these people seem to have too much else to do to help you. Please do not use this company for your vision needs. They do not have hardly ant trial pairs of contacts on hand and will tell you they will have to order them so you will have to go back over and over again to be fitted. This company gets an F in my book. Very awful to say the least!

I've been going here for years. The doctors are professional and observant. The sales floor is nice and laid back, always willing to answer questions. The prices are most reasonable. I only wear contacts, but they do have a good variety of reasonable ($50-$100) and even nice designer glasses. Once they even gave me an extra lens when I lost the other one. Another time they gave me a discounted exam for being a loyal customer.

I was surprised to see all the negative reviews, I've had a fine time here. The doctor was professional, the process and wait time just fine, and the price is cheap.
The people that have helped me are friendly and not pushy. I bought glasses and contacts a year ago, went in just recently to have my glasses repaired. The person helping me went through the extra hardship of drilling out the super glue I had used, and was even pleasant about it.

I had a very good experience here. My last eye exam was at Walmart and vision works was much more thorough. The optometrist was very friendly and really listened to me talk about my issues and made some very good suggestions. They had modern equipment and gave me a lot more attention than Walmart. I am confident they got my prescription perfect, which I wasn't at Walmart.

As far as the rest of my experience, it was very positive. A girl did help me select frames, but when I wanted to just browse by myself, she left me alone. I ordered my glasses on Friday and they were ready by Monday (I was told they normally don't even take that long, but they had some equipment down).

Overall, great experience and they will get my business again.

Dr. Vision works is the worst place to get your vision checked. I went in before the labor day weekend and personally paid for an exam for glasses and contacts. I had no help picking out glasses that were best suited to me. They were rude and barley noticed I was there. I waited two hours for an exam. I was then told that my contacts would be in the next week. I went back that friday and no contacts. I was informed that because of the holiday weekend it would take until the next week. I went back the next friday, still no contacts (this was also the second time I had to have my new glasses adjusted). I came back the next friday and still no contacts (again to also have my glasses adjusted), but was promised to have them mailed to me in the next week. I came back a fourth friday and there were my contacts. But because it had taken three weeks and the test pair of contacts were no good I would have to wait to see the eye doctor again. I asked for a refund. To this date I am still waiting on that check. When I asked for a refund I was treated like trash and was told that eventhough I paid for my contact perscription I could not have it because I did not see the doctor to make sure that it was correct. I did not realize that they used the guess check system for contacts. I have now paid another $130 for a contact perscription and am having a hard time wearing them because the test pair that dr. vision works gave me scratched my eyes. They're such a great place!

they do not know how to measure glasses properly and will basically tell you to wear them -- I had two pairs which was measured @ 28 and associate argued with lab manager that they were measured correctly -- lab manager looked at me and said I was 23 measurement....and even when I had another store in AZ measure, I was told that they did not know how to measure lenses. After glasses remade, still not right...been writing the Corporate office (ECCA) and they will not contact customer either. This has been on-going for 2 months -- from 5/12 to 7/15/2008...I have worn glasses for over 40 years and this has been the worst experience -- eye doctors try to help but this company will NOT refund $$ for glasses that will not fit . Reps argue with not only the customers, but also with the lab manager. This company wants the $$ but will not service customers well. So pay a few more bucks and go to a reputable eye doctor....Anyone have a good one in mind?? LMK please

Pros: None

Cons: Go there if you want bad eyes.

Let's see. First they put lenses in some galsses I bought that didn't have the $100 upgrade I paid for. I had to call them out, and then they got some new lenses. So aside from the fact that they tried to rip me off...oh, yes and it turns out that they sold be women's frames, which I admit is my fault, but they could have let me know. thanks for nothing vision (doesn't)works

I got my last pair of eyeglasses at Doctor's Vision Works, and was generally pleased. My main complaint was that they kept me waiting a while for the eye exam, but once I got in to see the optometrist things went smoothly. She answered
