Going from my absolute favorite hair stylist in the whole world ever at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco, Calif. to a sub-par hair stylist at the Vidal Sassoon in Atlanta (Buckhead) was a super, expensive disappointment. Certainly not the worst I've ever had but I do NOT like it at all. It looks chopped, too short in parts, too long in parts. I paid $95 for this???

Over the phone I chose the Creative Director (at $20 more than S.F. even!), who was newly transferred from New York, as I was hoping he'd be a "higher level" of hair stylist with this title.
He was certainly nice and pleasant enough, and I showed him my haircut photo the way I wanted it -- nicely layered with gradually curving/curling pieces from ear to collarbone.

When he finished I inwardly cringed when I saw what he'd done to the bangs -- badly chopped! WAY too short in parts and not nearly matching the uneven longer wisps in length. Not the nice little blended fringes I was hoping for. I can't believe he wasn't trained to cut layered bangs correctly! 4 days later I still feel like I need a hat! Is there anything I hate more than a hair stylist who cuts bangs too short after I point to my eyebrows as the desired length??

The rest merely looked chopped -- no subtle, gradual layering, no talent, no hint of a "great hairstyle." Not hideous to the point of being a "mullet," but from the level of sub-par to below average. I can't wait for it to grow out, but I have a feeling there's going to be some ugly weeks in the mirror ahead with these stupid too-short badly-cut bangs. Honestly I've done a better job trimming them myself with a pair of dull scissors!

I will not be going back to the Atlanta Vidal Sassoon, if this is the best they can do with a Creative Director. I certainly don't see the level of skill I paid $95 for! Boo and Boo Hoo.

Pros: Location?

Cons: Bad expensive haircut

I only started going to Vidal Sassoon because it was easily accessible via Marta when my car was being serviced. However, my experiece was great and I always got professional, classy cuts and relaxers and always walked out of the door smiling. The stylists know how to translate your vision and ideas into a great cut. Ask for Roya!

you have to try Vidal Sassoon. At first I sneered because it was located in the mall; however, I decided to give it a try. I was thoroughly satisfied with my haircut. They typically use flat irons on the hair, giving it that picture-perfect look. Their prices are higher than other salons, but I think the cuts are more involved. You can choose your level of stylist/colorist too and therefore, how much you'd like to spend, but all of the stylists are great, no matter what level they are. Appointments are usually easy to get, which is an awesome convience. I also recommend their products--they're excellent quality.
