Like some others, I did salon hopping when I first came to town. John has been my friend and stylist for more than 17 years now. He always gives me an excellent, geometric haircut and is a master with color. The salon is trendy, yet intimate and friendly. John and his lovely wife Jennifer are warm, caring people, wonderful hosts and assets to the business community.

I would like to thank my new hairstylist Tatiana for improving the beauty and condition of my hair. We set up a time to meet together so she could see my hair, and than for us to determine what was the best solution for improving my hair. My hair was always frizzy and unmanageable.Tatiana recommended the Brazilian Blowout Treatment, and it turned out so wonderfully. My hair is soft and shiny, and very easy to take care of now. After this treatment I purchased the professional products to keep my hair looking healthy and beautiful.

A friend recommended Jazmyne at Le Motive salon. When I first walked into the salon, I instantly relaxed! It's calm and beautiful. As soon as I walked in, I was offered something to drink and Jazmyne was right on time.
Jazmyne was great! She is so easy to talk to and my appointment didn't take nearly as long as it usually does. I've gotten sooo many compliments on my hair!

I drive 45 miles to La Motive, and it's worth it. I'm 62 and some of my hair follicles have shut down (which is not uncommon). Yes, I'm going bald ARGHHH. Thank heavens my guy John is able to disguise that, and offer products that enhance my fine, limp hair. He's a former beauty college owner and trainer with way too many years of experience- simply the best in Oregon.
When my daughter from Hollyweird showed up in December with over-processed hair, he was able to recolor and condition it so she could return to work restored. Merry Christmas! John's wife Jennifer does beautiful transformations too.
La Motive has recently added a massage therapist who, among other services, offers chair massage for a dollar a minute. Christy did wonders with my shoulder and neck spasms.
To top it off, the salon hangs original art (for purchase) by local gifted artists. I left La Motive feeling like a new woman. Do the best with what you've got and call today. You'll be very glad you did.

As seems the case for other reviewers I went unsatisfied through several stylists after relocating to Salem. Perhaps I am too picky or was having trouble letting go of my loyalty and adoration for my previous stylist but no matter... I found a great replacement in John at Le Motive! Yay! Thanks so much for restoring my hairdo!

This is the place! I came here from Palm Springs California and left a great stylist. I went though three here in Salem and my hair was destroyed! By luck I found Le Motive Salon!!! It was been five years now, and I don??t miss Palm Springs anymore.

I have been a customer of Le Motive for more than 5 year. I won't go anywhere else. My hair has never looked better or healthier. The stylists are friendly, processional and anxious to please. A very good relaxing enviornment. The products used on your hair are the best in the industry. Now by daughter and granddaughter are also regular customers with all of us being pleased with our results. Hey, don't miss out. You won't be disappointed with your experience. Joanne G.

The hair stylists at Le Motive have many years of experience and are able to style, color or cut your hair the way you want it. You will never be disappointed. They also use the best products on your hair. It is a family run enviornment in a quaint little cottage. They even serve refreshments. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Shirley

I heard of LeMotive from a friend so thought I'd try it. I'm very particular and am hesitant to try new salons. I was greeted with a warm welcoming and offered a beverage the minute I walked in! My cut was exactly what I wanted! Jennifer listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, and worked wonders! I will certainly return and will highly recommend this salon to my friends!

After "salon-hopping" to six different stylists since moving to Salem, I've found my home. The talent is here--if cutting and coloring hair is a gift (and we know it is), they have it! A convenient downtown location in a cottage-style shop adds to the ambiance. I will not trust my hair to anyone else as long as we live here--you will not be disappointed!
