Pick-A-Party

I am the owner of Pick-A-Party. My name is Karen. I have no clue who Christine is and what party you are speaking of. I have never received any deposit of 100 from anyone since the deposit to book a party is 75.00...Perhaps youre thinking of the place down the block called Little Peoples Parties or the other one I cant recall on Ft Hamilton . As for the mattes being filthy that is another damn lie. I have lost many a pair of pants from bleaching the matts after EVERY party. I also have 4 cases of extra matts at 35.00 per square of a matt as replacements when the matts are no longer usable.Karen C

I was planning on having my son's birthday party here last year. The place was ok. I liked that fact that it was one party at a time. They have a no shoe policy but the mats were dirty, go figure. Against my better judgment I decided to book anyway. I was booking a little over 3 1/2 months in advanced. I left a deposit and a simple receipt was given to me with no indications or writing that a deposit was not refundable. I canceled the party in less than a week. The traffic going there was horrendous and didn't want my guest to suffer. Christine told me she sent me personalized invitations which I never got; I guess that was one of her reasons to keep my $100 deposit as if a cheap printable invitation would cost that much. I asked several times for my deposit and was given one excuse after another. Finally I was told I would get half of my deposit which till this day I still have not received. It??s probably in the same place the invitations are because almost a year later and I still haven??t received those either! My deposit was never refunded nor was there any mention of a credit. This people are scammer and the first review posted is from the owner herself!

I have used Pick-A-party repeatedly over the last 2 years. They have an actual location in Brooklyn where they host over 40 themed parties, as well as seasonal activities and events. AND!!! They also have whats called a Party-On-The-Go! They come to you! Anywhere they travel to Jersey, the Hamptons and all over the tri state. The girls are great and really have a good time with the kids!I recommend them for any event your having, a Communion, Block Party, Kids Birthday, Boy Scout event.....my friends and I use them all the time.!!
