We moved to the area and faced the challenge of finding health care providers. We saw an attractive dental office on Cobb Parkway near Lowes and decided to try it out.

What a delight. The office is inviting and comfortable, and the staff is wonderful. The friendly, at home feeling is quite welcome for newbies in town. Soon (what, no wait?) a friendly person calls you back and leads you to a room with a view of the blue sky and tree tops bending in the breeze. It is Patty, and soon she is doing an expert job on the cleaning. I can feel her working on removing the plaque, but it seems so painless. When done, my teeth feel so clean. I flash back to some early experiences of visits to the dentist and teeth cleaning; those dental instruments seemed like instruments of pain - teeth cleaning was an endurance challenge (was it ever going to end?). But not today, I run my tongue across my teeth, they feel smooth and clean, and no pain. Is there a title of Expert Dental Hygienist? I nominate Patty.

Dr. Duncan comes in to check my teeth and discusses what he is finding. Like the rest of the staff, he is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, thorough. The personal TV becomes a monitor as Dr. Duncan shows pictures of my teeth where repairs will be needed and places for observation. He will mail a summary plan of treatment needed. It has been several years since I needed dental work, and time has caught up a bit. He prepared a treatment strategy in phases that we received in the mail.

My wife went as well and she started her treatments first. A tooth with old fillings was set up for a crown. Instead of waiting for the crown to be made elsewhere and getting it fitted later, Dr. Duncan made the crown on site. We are impressed.

If you are looking for a dentist, we cannot imagine a better place to go than to Dr. Duncan and his staff at Brookpointe.

Don't send your loved ones anywhere else!!! The quality care and compassion extended to patients at Dr. Duncan's office is a standard above all others and their professionalism and dentistry skills are above reproach.

You get what you pay for, so bypass the homogenized dental groups who herd the masses and who regulate treatment to what insurance will pay for. After all, it's the insurance companies who have the patient's best interest in mind and know which treatment a patient should have--THAT mentality is an absolute joke. From what I've learned about my insurance company, they try their best to hardly pay for any treatment and subject me to changing limitations that I can't even keep up. If you're comparing dollars and your investment in dental care, you'll get more than your money's worth at Brookpointe Dental, and I know that is important to all of us during recessions or not. Outside of what little insurance pays, Care Credit has been very helpful for me for each dental, medical, and veterinary office that I've visited. Let's face it--insurance just doesn't cover everything, and the reality is that they are going to cover less and less in the upcoming days.

The staff is superb, and the facility is state-of-the-art beautiful. Check out their website at www.brookpointedental.com.

I wouldn't trust my loved ones with anyone else!

After being a "victim" of those "big box" dentists offices - you know, where you're treated more like cattle than you are a person and never see the same dentist twice - it was so refreshing to find Dr. Duncan's practice.

When I cracked a tooth a few weeks ago, I knew off the bat that it would need a root canal and crown. Calling my "cattle rancher" dentist office was a mistake...it would take THREE WEEKS before I could get any relief. And I'd have to see at least two different dentists! No thanks!

After an extensive search through my dental care preferred dentists lists, I found Dr. Duncan. I called the office and asked for run-down on how they operate. Imagine my delight and surprise when their Scheduling Coordinator JoBeth (who was so sweet and knowledgable) told me about their practice. When she talked about how they were like a "family", I was hooked. This was just the place I wanted my family to go. I wanted to be treated like a person - not just a number (or in this case, a mouth) to them.

Another surprise came when she told me that they could see me the next morning! What? I didn't have to continue to wait three weeks with a cracked tooth? The next morning, I walked into their beautiful office, was greeted personally (no signing in there!), and ushered back with no waiting. Starr, Dr. Duncan's treatment assistant, was fantastic! Not only was she very friendly and concerned with ensuring my comfort (which we all know root canals can be painful!), but was obviously very competent.

Hold on for another surprise: they told me they could fix it THAT MORNING, right then, if I had time. Are you kidding me? Someone pinch me! Obviously, I jumped at the opportunity. In walks Marishell, the treatment coordinator, another super awesome person, who has already made herself very well-versed with my insurance plan (not an easy task) and begins going over everything to make sure that I didn't have any questions about the procedure and that I didn't get any surprises regarding the coverage of my procedure. This was almost too good to be true. You mean the people at this office actually care about me and want to make sure I'm comfortable and well-informed every step of the way? Unreal!

The final surprise of my visit came when Dr. Duncan actually performed the procedure...the root canal. Dr. Duncan came in, was a wonderfully personable guy and said he'd make it as painless as possible. I'm thinking, yeah, right...I've had a root canal before and know how miserable they can be. Was I ever surprised! This guy must have been Heaven-sent or something because I didn't feel an ounce - not one twinge - of pain THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE! And it was a quick procedure too! Honestly, I can say that the procedure was a joy!

I go back in a few weeks to get the permanent crown - which they make in their own office. But I've already cancelled any outstanding appointment at my "cattle" dentist and have already booked a cleaning appointment for both my husband and I. I can't tell you of another medical office where I have been so please by both the high caliber treatments but also the high caliber of people. We will be patients there for a long time to come!!! Thanks Dr. Duncan, JoBeth, Marishell, and Starr! See you soon!

Dr. Duncan's office is very inviting. The staff make you feel right at home just as soon as you walk in the door. The new waiting room is spacious and you can help yourself to coffee or bottled water. When you arrive for your appointment you never have to wait. They are always on schedule. It is so nice to have your own personal TV to watch while you are in the dental chair. Patty the hygienist has always been very sweet and she is very great with my kids ages 7 & 9.
