Everytime I go to No Mas! Cantina, I have a great experience. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is always a treat. I love the atmosphere, I can't wait until the weather is warmer so I can enjoy the beautiful patio. I recommend the tangerine margaritas, so great. This place is one of the best kept secrets in Atlanta, you have got to try it.

Amazing place - loved the atmosphere and the food was the best Mexican I've had in Atlanta ever. Will go back with friends.

I loved everything about this place. From the awesome decor to the exceptional food. I highly recomend the Pollo Relleno, a stuffed chicken breast bursting with cheese and chilis, fabulous. The chips, salsa and queso are best in Atlanta. I had the special dessert, a mocha chocolate flan, talk about good. Dense, but not too eggy like so many flans, it was fabulous. If like Mexico you will love this place.

Food was just ok. Cheese dip and Guac was good but the salsa was aweful. We had 2 pitchers of Margaritas ($50) and I don't think there was any alcohol in them, please add tequila next time. Also the pitcher weighs about 20 lbs. The restauraunt is so pretty too bad the food and drinks aren't that great : -(

Pros: Ambience is wonderful!

Cons: Margaritas are below average

Fantastic ambience.....makes the good food taste even better. I just wish the place was a little bit closer than its remote Casteberry Hill location, but the owners have vision and Catleberry will be the "it" place in a few years.

I have tried the porkchops on 2 different occasions. Excellent with a spicy apple masa tamale and chipotle mashed potatoes. As good as I have had anywhere. Inconsistency in salsa and chips have been corrected and are always great, even though I try to not eat them, I usually do. If you tried it earlier, but were unhappy, it may be time to give it another try.

Its like walking into another country. Unfortunately, we had a late Friday nite dinner and didnt get to browse the attached store but I liked what I saw. We realized that everything in the restaurant, from the flatware to the glassware, etc could be purchased. The chips were served warm, thin and crisp. I ordered the Queso Traditional and it was some of the best I ever had. The fajitas for two was good but served lukewarm and Ive had better fajita meat at Border or some other places.

Dont get the caesar salad, theirs is a jalapeno version, kinda gross for my taste.

Worth a trip though.

A culinary and visual feast! Tonight's visit was my second to this brand new restaurant that is now at the top of my list for downtown dining. I took my mother for her birthday, and she was completely enchanted. The first impression couldn't have been better, and the rest of evening followed suit.

We walked in just before sunset and were greeted with sculptures in the parking lot, a gurgling fountain on the front steps, and a patio that just begs for sitting and drinking pitchers of margaritas. Upon walking through the enormous, carved doors, the hosts greeted us and asked us our preference, indoors or out. I left that to my mom, because it was just too hard a decision for me to make. Hmmm... enjoy the beautiful weather on the patio or take in the meticulous decor in the spacious dining room. Tough choice. Mom picked the decor. She really did, too; I think she picked inside because she wanted to check out all the accessories and fixtures. The varied lighting gave great ambience, so the conversation was good (I should give some credit to the Pinarita and Mojito Frambuesa, too), but I couldn't help but notice that Mom's head kept swiveling around as she discovered new decor details. She's really into that sort of thing.

The wait staff was friendly and hospitable, but the food is the main attraction. (Other than the decor, anyway.) Portions are generous, and the usual suspects are featured on the menu. Of course, the key to the menu at No Mas is that they use very fresh ingredients and have personalized dishes that are worn out on other restaurant menus. Even the beans are made in-house. Try the Sopa de Tortilla, the Tampiquena and the Tacos de Pescado.

After dinner, we managed to walk our stuffed selves over to the adjacent furniture store (same great owners). It's a must see and completely explains the restaurant's look. The only friendly criticism I can make is that there should be a host stand at the top of the stairs to curtail some confusion.

Pros: fresh ingredients, fabulous ambience, import home store next door

Cons: a little confusing to find the host stand - walk in the big, wooden doors to find it.

I have never been to Mexico until I visited No Mas Cantina. This is my new spot. And I plan to tell the entire city of Atlanta about it. You can EAT, DRINK, and even SHOP for furniture to decorate your house....WOW!!!!

First, I would like to say that the atmosphere was phenomenal. I sat on the patio and felt like I was in Old Mexico, I would have liked to stay all day, but real life called me away. I had the Pollo Relleno it was a delicious blend of flavors. I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hand blown wine glass and will be back to buy the chair I sat in. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, a great time to go. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will definately be back.

While the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the atmosphere is great. My visit last night gave them the award for the worst service I have ever received when dining out. There were nine people in our b-day party and it took over 30 minutes for our server to return to the table to offer a 2nd round of drinks to the people who were already there or a 1st round to the people that had joined our party. We went to the packed bar to order beers and margarita pitchers (which were tasty) and were walking back with them when he was finally standing at the table. Our queso dip took over 20 minutes and the food we ordered took another additional 30 minutes to arrive to the table. When the manager arrived, he bought us a round of drinks to apologize but the service just did not improve. I would have rathered he take care of the service instead of the drinks. During this time I noticed that the other tables around us were low on their drinks too, if not asking someone to find out where their drinks were. One of the people in our party went to the bar and ordered food, brought it to the table, finished eating it and the three entree items our table ordered still had not arrived. I am unable to give a food review because by this point some of us left and went to another restaurant because we were so disgusted. If you go there, just go the bar which has much more efficient service.

My wife and I dined at No Mas for the first time yesterday (Friday) night. The decor is beautiful, and its a unique environment. We were very excited to be there. However, the food and the service were dreadful.

My wife and I are very forgiving, and we dont get upset when one or two things go wrong, but this night was a cascade of wrong. Our waiter (an aggressively nerdy bespectacled young man who could play the role of Mark Cohen in Rent) was very nice; however, he had too many tables and was not able to perform the requisite drink refills and the occasional is everything okay here? which was important because everything wasnt okay. My wifes chicken was raw (as in cold as ice in the center). I found this out because she lovingly gave me her first bite. It took our waiter over 10 minutes to come by to take her plate back to the kitchen. The return time, however, was very fast (I think we got someone elses order). Luckily my pork was cook through; so we both shared my food until our waiter arrived. Also, many of the employees seem lost, not knowing what to do. They seemed to have an excess of busboys and greeters and not enough wait staff.

If you eat on the patio just know this: The ceiling fans have two speeds, off and turbo, and there is a lot of coverage, so dont be surprised if youre stuck under a food chilling, napkin blowing wind. Also, the music can be a bit loud, but unlike the fans, they can turn it down if you ask (the table next to us asked).

I hope the abovementioned problems are just growing pains because this place has great potential, but it will be awhile before I take the risk again. I am a little disappointed that we were not offered any compensation for eating raw chicken.

From the moment you get out of your car you know you are in for a treat. The patio is absolutely beautiful, complete with a water fountain. The margaritas were fantastic, I had a tangerine one and my husband had the tamarindo. The food was great too, I highly recomend the stuffed chicken breast and the pork chops. You've got to give this place a try.

The place is absolutely gorgeous. It's got a great patio and is beautifully decorated inside. When you go there you feel like you're on vacation. Unfortunately, the food is lacking. The salsa and chips are the first sign. Both have a wierd after taste. I've gotten the tilapia tacos there and they were very average. Certainly not worth the money we paid for it. So, if you're in to the decor then by all means you should check the place out but if you in it for the food, go somewhere else. I'm actually hoping they'll hire a new cook or somehing because the place really could be a winner. Cuter wait staff wouldn't hurt either. Oh well time will tell.

I loved No Más! I think the owners have done a great job at creating a wonderful environment, inside and outside, for dining and relaxing. I had only positive experiences with the friendly servers, managers, and bartenders. I've tried several items on the menu so far, and my fav. entree is their stuffed chicken (can't remember the name--pollo relleno, I think), and I like the fish taco appetizers. They also have my new favorite drink in Atlanta--a frozen drink made with Brazilian cachaça and tamarind. Too good. Love the paintings upstairs and the lights in the trees outside!

The guys from No Mas Productions over near Howell Mill and Huff Road outdid themselves on their new restaurant that bares the same name. No Mas Cantina is exactly what Castleberry Hill was missing, in my humble opinion. Steve and Walt have created a beautiful space with fantastic food from south of the border. A trip to a Mexican restaurant always warrants a pitcher of margaritas, and the tall colorful handmade vessel full of icy pale green heaven did not disappoint! The salsa hints of roasted red peppers...mmm. I like to mix cheese dip with equal parts salsa to kick it up a notch. You should try it! I ordered the fish tacos and my guest had a delightful chicken dish. We both left fat and happy! Now Atlanta has a reason to re-discover Castlebarry Hill!!! If you haven't been there in a while, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

Between the brilliant decor and the delicious menu options, it's safe to say this is the best place to enjoy Mexican in our city! Must try the guacamole, fish tacos, and the quattro leche for dessert! All are wonderful!!! If you have never been to Castleberry Hill then this restaurant alone should be your reason to go. Can't wait to return and enjoy a margarita on their patio.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The ambiance is AMAZING. Beautifully decorated inside and out (small garden area). Two floors with balcony overlooking lower floor. HUGE covered patio. Lots o' parking...All in the heart of Downtown Atlanta. Oh yeah, not to mention, the drinks are GREAT...pricey, but GREAT!

The guys from No Mas Productions have outdone themselves! What a spectacular achievement! WOW! Years in the making but was well worth the wait. The atmosphere is outstanding! Beautiful furnishings with authentic accents and a subdued lighting scheme make the ambiance perfect! No expense spared and it doesnt stop with decor! The menu is phenomenal. Great specialty drinks and specials every night. However, I did order a common Portuguese cocktail (Red Vermouth, ice, splash of soda, lemon and orange slices - yum!) and that caused a little confusion. Oh well its not a Portuguese restaurant!

The 'nachos fabuloso' are a personal favorite. The fish tacos are excellent! Who has trouble saying "yes please" to another helping of the best salsa in Atlanta? Queso you ask? They have the best, with 3 choices! I really can not say enough good things about this gem in Castleberry Hill. Oh yeah, hands down the BEST PATIO around with a great water feature! Patio drinking season is upon us! Enjoy again and again!

Wish List:
Offer black beans and corn tortillas as an alternative to pintos and flour tortillas.

Fantastico No Mas Cantina! You have arrived!
