We have been so impressed with Discovery Point. I have ZERO guilt as a working mother because I know my son is being well taken care of. First and foremost, Daniel, the owner, and his wife are such sweet and loving people. I am not sure what the reviews below are talking about. Everyone here is excellent and they always know where my children are when I return to pick them up. They have taught my son countless things. He has great manners and he is always showing me new things he has learned. I would recommend Discovery Point to everyone.

I agree that this place is wonderful!

The staff at Discovery Point has taken care of my daughter for the past 3 years. And I am so thankful to have found them! The place is always very clean, spacious and the staff is wonderful. I Always feel good about dropping her off. I know she is always being taken care of, well-fed, and has a blast as well. No other daycare, in my opinion, can compete with Discovery Point. The staff members take a good care of every child and they all put a lot of love and dedication into what they do. And it reflects on the kids. I would recommend this place to everyone who needs a safe place for his/her child. Thanks for everything!

Discovery Point is a WONDERFUL daycare provider. I can't say enough good things about them. We consider ourselves so lucky to have found someone so good to take care of our son. We did not want to use home daycare when we put our son in a daycare setting so we chose to go the daycare center route. And we are glad we did. Our son loves to go to daycare. He's been there 8 months now and I feel he has really grown socially, emotionally and his educational level in his time spent with his "second family." What more could you ask for from a daycare provider? All A+'s from us!!

I really like the way the facility is built and set up. That's about all my husband and I do like about it. My son's teacher was awesome which outweighed the fact that I had a personality clash with the owner. I set aside the personality conflict until my husband had a verbal disagreement with her without an apology from her. As I sit laughing at the reviews, I realize that I am not alone. I have never had a major issue with any childcare setting before and can not believe the ridiculous way these people act. My child has since been moved and I know of 2 other children in his age group that moved as well because they are in the same class as my son at the different facility.

My children attended Discovery Point for a little over 6 months. I probably should have read the reviews first, but it definitely is hit or miss--sounds like the 2nd review was an upset employee ;). There was never a huge incident that made me stop taking my children there but there were a few small ones. It is a good child care facility that is convenient to the interstate, but I have had better experiences.

I regret sending my child to Discovery Point. I got a good feeling from most of the staff, but the staff changed so much that my little guy in Pre K had around 5 teachers his year there (07-08). I witnessed a few altercations between parents and staff but it seemed to be a side of the staff I had never seen. The first lady who responded did not seem angry, she seemed very disappointed as was I halfway through the school year. She is right about the husband and wife running it, and the wife could definitely come out as snobby. My major disappointment that year was not so much snobbiness or attitude, it was lack of concern when I had questions of my child's progress. "Fine," to a parent who has asked detailed questions is not sufficient. The summer following Pre K, I had to catch my son up and teach him things that his cousin had learned in another lottery funded Pre K that year.
I wouldn't say "run for the hills," but there are definitely other places in that area that I have personally heard wonderful things about. My daughter will NOT attend Discovery Point.

I would just like to refute the other review of this Center. It is the most wonderful childcare center that I have ever visited. My child can't wait to go to "school" each day and the staff and owners are just like family to my children. My child is in Pre-K there and the teachers are terrific. Can't say enough in favor or their attitudes and their kindness toward all the children. As for rudeness, sounds like this person had some sort of chip on her shoulder. It came through loud and clear.

I was pleased with Discovery Point at first when I learned they had earned an award for early education in Henry County. I was one of the 1st ones to sign my child up for Pre K & got a call a couple months later to fill out the final paperwork. I asked on two different occasions to be toured & was turned down because the pre k classes were napping. I only have 1 day off per week from work, so my time is limited on these sorts of things. As I am filling out the paperwork, I notice 2 ladies come in & get a tour--while the pre k classes were napping. A husband & wife run Discovery Point, & they each took a lady around. When I was done filling out my paperwork, I waited at the counter while I was ignored by the lady working (she was finishing up the tour by further explaining the curriculum at the front desk). She finally said (without looking up), "you can just leave it there." I said, "well, I had a couple questions about it." She loudly sighs at me, partially rolls her eyes and says, "well, what are they?!" I told her I thought I might have just changed my mind about the facility all together, told her why and told her about not being able to look around the facility. She says, "OKAY!" I said, "Yes, instead of an apology!" My husband & I turn around & walk out as she is hollering, "What is your name so I can take it off the list?" I might understand that if I was rude at any point in time. I would have given them another chance had she apologized instead of screaming a sarcastic "Okay" at me. My husband & I were VERY disappointed and could not believe that people who run a place with children in it really behave in that manner. I have since heard other bad things about Discovery Point. My children will NEVER step foot in that place. Run for the hills. There are several other child cares and Pre K facilities in that area.

My child attended Discovery Point for almost 3 months. I thought the facility was great and the ladies taking care of my child seemed to do a great job. The issue we had was with the owner, she seemed rude, uncaring and we feel she wasn't looking out for the best interest of the children. Even though she didn't deal directly with the children, she makes the decisions about what goes on at the daycare and how its ran therefore we no longer thought our child should be under their care. The major issue we had with the day care was that RSV(Respiratory Virus) was apparantly going around in the infant room, my child was the 3rd one in the class (to my knowledge) to catch the virus. I called the school to notify them that I had taken my child to the doctor and had been diagnosed with the virus and they said it was contagious, so I wanted to let them know so they could notify other parents that there was a virus going around. My child could not attend daycare for 10 days due to the virus. During this time I checked in at the daycare periodically and with some parents to see if they posted a note or anything to let the parents know, plus I did not want my child going back and catching it again if other children had it and weren't aware that it was a virus and not just a cold or something. Not one time did they post anything or let the other parents know, and two other parents said that they let the daycare know as well once there child was diagnosed. We also found out that the teachers were aware that the virus was going around but were told not to tell the parents. I have a major problem with people trying to hide facts and information from me that can affect my childs health. You do not keep things like this from the parents, and why would a daycare purposely do this, aren't they suppose to have the children's best interest at heart???
