i've gone to BLVD quite a few times and have always had a great time..the music is great, nice urban crowd, and a nice feel inside. I bought a bottle the last time i went and was taken care of right away. i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out.

Love this place. I went to BLVD with my girl friends. And We bought couple of bottles. And we all had a blast. The music is great (Carribean Night). Our waiter was so sweet. I love this place and would like to come back soon.

Last night we went to Blvd for the first time. The bouncers were nice, so was the bartender. I like the fact that they had couches for people, even if they werent VIP. The place was a bit small, but it did not get too crowded on the dance floor. Maybe because the DJ scared everyone off the dance floor. For the first hour and a half, not one single person was dancing. All the DJ played was Brazilian techno over and over and over again. SO LAME!! It was supposed to be "Latin night" but I didnt hear and salsa or merengue or batchata. Maybe he played old spanish music from the 90s because he was about 50 years old and looked like a school principle. Please fire this guy immiediatly!!! We are willing to revist Blvd on another night to give it another chance, but only if theres a different DJ.

This place really needs to get their act together. The "manager" or what ever the hell this guy is paid for at this lousy venue is the biggest loser I've ever encountered. Not to mention unprofessional. Band I saw there had dropped one of the house mics and this guy, as if it was the first show he'd ever seen, runs onstage and starts yelling at the band. Right as they finish, in front of everyone. Almost like this guy wanted all the attention focused on him. Probably because he's a talentless freak. The band really handled themselves well I must say. Then after that this guy stays onstage and just stands there as the next band is trying to set up. Doing nothing but oogling the girls in the band. Again attention whore. It really made for a weird vibe. The sound system might be good but who knows because the guy running it obviously had no idea what he was doing. It was like they just picked some guy off the street. Not only that the drinks are terrible. Overpriced and watered down. I remember when the Bowery was a great place to come see shows. Now this area is run by a bunch of old losers in business suits that have no clue how to run a music venue. And they yell at bands that bring people that bring money for the club. All they want is your money. Save your cash or go somewhere where they actually care about the bands and people. This place is scum.

This is definitely one of my favorite venues in Manhattan. It's where my friends and I head when we've got no specific plans, and it's always a good time. There's no beer on tap, but the bar is excellent otherwise, and while it can get crowded from time to time, it's because the shows are rockin'. They always have a variety of events, from comedy to music to trivia shows, and it's a great place to have a party. Love it!

Pros: Cozy, great bar, varied events, courteous wait staff, bar

Cons: no draft beer, can get crowded

This is a great place to host events of just about any kind. I've been here a bunch of times for a bunch of different types of things, and the room never fails to make the event shine. The bar is great, the staffers are pleasant and professional, and while the prices aren't at the bottom of the barrel, the food & drinks are totally worth it.

I came for Fusion Friday and it was really good. There was a line getting into the place but it moved quickly and was worth it. The music was good and there were comfy booths for us to relax. Overall (from what I can remember) it was a good night out... Can't wait for the Savage Men Party!!!

Watch your tab at this place. I signed without looking and it cost me $140 more than it should have. The waitress added the tip (in the fine print) and I left a tip on the table. She made $240 on my $330 tab and I cannot dispute because I signed. I called the manager the next day and they did nothing. What a rip and a scam. AVOID THIS PLACE.

There is a Hip Hop room and a Latin Room. Both seem to be "on and poppin" at all times once you get through the long line and coat check. It's a tough sell in the winter... Not really any seating, but the music is good, so hopefully you won't want to sit. The bartenders are nice and prompt, so that's a plus.

This is where the cheap bachelorette parties and their buffalo bridesmaids roam. Standing in line waiting to pay to be frisked, one may notice a myriad of seasonally inappropriate dressed mamas- if you got it flaunt it, but if not, tuck it back into your Lane Bryant lingerie and call it a night. It was refreshing to see such a welcoming community of moms on their annual night out shaking their FUPA?s on LL Cool J wannabes.

Quotes from the evening that may best sum the locations vibe: ?If I saw my own brother here, I would lie and pretend that I was someone else, or try and pretend that I was the twin he didn?t know about.? ?I just met a very nice courtesan/ escort in the bathroom.? Would I go here again? Sadly, Yes, but only for scientific purposes to tag and mark the remarkable specimens. ?Notice the 7 foot woman as she gyrates her pelvis towards her 5?4 Latino cowboy with thumbs firmly hooked in his belt loops.? ?Observe the 45+ bedazzled woman grinding on her much older, greasier, sugar daddy, wearing a suit with black gym shoes that says to the world ?hey I am here to party!?

There were times when I would make eye contact with normal pockets of people in the crowd whom looked just as bewildered and confused, while no words were actually exchanged, we both were thinking the same thing..."lets get the hell out of here!"

They should rename this place club desperation. This is the worst club in the entire city!
Ok so the scene? imagine Long Island and Jersey have an ugly red headed step child and beat it with the ugly stick, yeah that would be an upgrade. The staff is rude, mandatory $4 coat check? wtf I don?t even want to be here, and you?re going to take my coat so I can?t run away?
O and drinks are way overpriced. Ordered around of drinks and the bartender makes it very clear that there is a $50 min on cards? yeah so im thinking ok well maybe the drinks aren?t that expensive, no the first round was $100. The bartender is either retarded or conning me, the later I suspect.
Bottom line, go to this place if you like poor service by rude staff and like to stand at the bar and look at the freaks! (sorry freaks but you know you were there and it was ummm disturbing)

I'm going there Saturday night for my Fiance's bday.. Just an FYI the restaurant for Blvd is no longer in operation. It's strictly a club/lounge now.

I'm a native New Yorker who went to college in NYC as well, so I've pretty much spent my 20s hitting up many nightclubs. This past Saturday, I went there for a birthday celebration, and I must say I had a great time. I'm so over pretentious nightclubs that really aren't reflective of what NYC is all about...this place has something for everyone. The drinks were great and not too overpriced, VIP was area was down to earth, there were plenty of beautiful people, the DJ was on point and the staff was decent. I danced from the moment I got there till it was time for me to get going to the next spot (but I secretly didn't wanna leave). I will definetely be going back to BLVD-it's perfect for hosting a party or for having a much needed girls night out:)

well this weekend (Saturday night) was my first time at blvd, and i certainly know i will be coming back, i had so much fun. the music was great and there were a few eye candy in the club. it was a long line on Saturday and we waited a while so if i go again, which am sure i will then i will get there early. nothing worst than waiting in a line that has no end. lol music was fantastic and a very good mixture of genres. the line for the toilet was long for most of the night. they have nice drink specials too. i am sure i will be there next week

It was my friends' b-day. We were waiting on line, it was so cold and the line was so long. The door man let us cut the line and let us in with no cover charge. We get to the search; I felt a little uneasy about it . But I guess it is ok for safety reasons. The place was packed. The music was good. Long line at the bathroom but other than that the club was pumping. We danced a lot. We had a good time. I think we will definitely go back again. I highly recommend Blvd. for your next celebration.

I went to boulevard over the weekend with friends from out of town and had the best time. The atmosphere is very cool with a great lounge feel. We ordered drinks and some appetizers which were great. The bartenders were really friendly and attentive which is sometimes hard to find in such a busy place. Overall we had a great time. I would definitely go back to BLVD again for the great music and atmosphere. Worth a night out on the town!!!

My friend had her birthday party here. There was no cover as long as you were on a guestlist, which was a plus. There was a mandatory coat check, which I can deal with. The drinks were, well, typical of a NY bar/nightclub. However, before I could form an opinion of the place, I was turned off 100%. The bouncers were AWFUL. One in particular was barking "ID, HERE!" at everyone while holding his hand out, as if we walked on 4 legs. They were unnecessarily rude to everyone, especially the guys in our group. Then we walked in and as soon as things started to look up (great music, great LOOKING crowd), there was a whole fiasco regarding the table reservations that we made. We were there on time and with all members of our party present, but our table was not ready (because of a "loophole in communication"). When we got to our table, they didn't have the bottles that we requested before-hand. They did mention a free bottle service downstairs (which turned out to be bachata-city), but "free" turned into a "mandatory $30 tip" once we got there. There was hardly enough to go around, and when we requested another bottle (which we were ready to pay for) the waitress simply rolled her eyes and walked away. And then she took another 20 minutes to get that bottle to us. Once we decided to head back to the main floor, there was reggaeton playing. I can take reggaeton, but not for 2 hours straight. If the DJ payed any attention to the dance floor, he/she would've noticed that most people were standing still and the only people dancing were too drunk to care (which we would've been, had our bottle service worked out). Despite everything, BLVD has a great setup but they might want to rethink their wait staff. Oh, and there's never any room to breathe, let alone trying to find room to dance. Happy drinking, folks!

i was at blvd on saturday and bloody hell it was packed. it was annoying because there was a long line outside. so i suggest u get there early..it would help if the dj played the music for more than 10secs. every time i tried to get into the song, i would move my left foot one way then the song and beat would change then it made me look like i could not dance. i mean please give us at least a min...so i can get my foot work right...lol. the drinks were okay, if i am honest i thought it was expesnsive but i think that with every club i go to in the city, besides In comparison to the other clubs blvd has to be the cheapest, but my middle name is cheap. this was the first time i could really appreciate the look of the club because i did not get to see it the last time because i was wasted the first time i was there. it really is a beautiful club and very very big with losts of smaller rooms, mainly for vip though. i coming back this weekend....i didnt find any lookers last week... this time i will catch me a looker....

We went to BLVD last night for a combination of a birthday party and going away party for someone heading to the Army and will NOT be back. When we first got to the line two bouncers were literally throwing a guy down the sidewalk and screaming at him. After finally getting to the door a half hour later even though we were on the guest list we were charged a $25 cover (CitySearch - update your site). When we got inside there were so many people you could hardly move. The bartenders were slow, rude and charged for random drinks that were not ordered in our group. Then the manager refused to take them off of the bill. After all of that they have a 20% "service charge." When there is no service in a place like this, I don't understand how you can have one of those. Also with the size of the place, there should definitely be more than three single bathroom stalls. Most of the bouncers looked like they just got off the prison bus and acted the same. The place does not appreciate your business and we will definitely not be returning anytime soon.

Here is my experience Blvd. After searching for a spot to celebrate my birthday I was contacted by a very friendly girl from the Velvet List to have my bday gathering here. After our discussion, I decided to give it a try. Upon arriving I was really happy to see such a nice atmosphere. Nice big space, big screens, etc. Although it was sort of empty and the music was very POP, I decided to stick it out because it was still early. Well the music did get somewhat better and it did get a little more crowded but then the real problems began. First, I was told the area downstairs ("Crash Mansion") would be open. Well it never did open!!! I was so upset because the main reason I decided to come here was for the latin music which, the very friendly velvet list girl told me they play there. To make matters worse, partiers were forced to wait on these LOOOOONG bathroom lines. At one point I actually waited an ENTIRE hour! There were only three unisex bathrooms that catered to the entire place. I actually spent most of the night waiting to use the toilet than anything else. Another insult to injury was, after my girlfriends had been waiting online for over an hour, they were told no more patrons were allowed inside, even though they informed the person at the front door they were there for a birthday party. Of course, I left after that. I am still baffled as to why they turned them and others away when it wasn't even crowded inside by the time they arrived.

I wouldnt say this is the worst place in the city but I definitely will say, I won't be going back. lastly, the music did get better as I said. However, it was quite frustrating getting into a song only for the DJ to change it 30 seconds after into another. You never really got to enjoy any one song.

Anyway, that was my experience. Hope yours is better.

BLVD is HUGE. Not only is the interior impressive, but the staff is friendly, fast, and efficient -- say goodbye to your standard pompous doormen. The staff and space set this club apart from every other venue in the city. This club caters to the needs of everyone from the nightly partier to the corporate 9-5er to the laid-back bar junkie. Good music, good dancing, good food, this place is HIGHLY recommended for a solid night out.

I threw my 25th birthday here last weekend and it was sweet. My guestlist got everyone in for free without any probs at the door and the bottle service was sick - not to mention the bottle girl was fiiiiine. Im hitting this place up for all my other parties - and am tryin to even have my company do a xmas party there.

I had such a great time here last night! The DJ spun an array of music that had me on the dance floor for the majority of the evening. The club-goers were beautiful, as was the staff, and the service wasn't really as bad as everybody had made it seem. I'm definitely going to be come here a lot more often!

I would never go back here. You walk in there feeling like you're a criminal......bag searches, metal detectors...I saw one guy being patted down. Not to mention the $20 cover they charge and the ridiculous line outside. This place is not worth it!

This place was mad hot! The lines were crazy long and we had a little trouble getting the guys in, but the club was bumpin. The bar staff was fiiine but rude, and the drinks were kinda overpriced for my budget but it's a club so that wasn't anything too surprising. The only thing I was a little disappointed was about the restaurant being closed. My girls and I got there a little early expecting to eat sumthin and the place was locked up so we had to go to some local crappy-ass deli. But yeah, all in all there was a hot crowd and great music. I'd chill there every weekend if I had the cash!

This place was sooo much fun! The place was packed and the music was great. it was my girl's birthday so we'd made bottle reservations ahead of time. For every bottle that we'd purchased, we got a free thing of mixed drinks and we got wiiild. This place is easily the place to be on a Saturday night. My girls and I had an awesome time!

I had an amazing time here last weekend. The lines were indeed ridiculously long, but it was definitely worth the wait. The place was packed with a slew of twenty-somethings, all very attractive and well-dressed. I was there with three of my girlfriends and my boyfriend, and we all spent a pretty crazy night there. Even my boyfriend, who's not much of a club-goer, spent the night grooving to the DJ's tunes. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's just looking for a crazy, engaging night out on the town.

My friend celebrated her birthday at Blvd last weekend and we had a blast!! I was a little concerned about coming to Blvd after reading some of the reviews, but the door staff and our waitress was really nice. We had bottle service and didn't have any problems at the door, although we saw several people get turned away for not being properly dressed.
The line to the bathroom was a kind of long until we realized almost at the end of the night that additional restrooms were downstairs. Overall, it was a cute crowd and good service. I would definitely go back.

If you can get past the bouncers-BLVD/Crash Mansion is a decent place. However, I was waiting on line one Saturday night a few weeks ago and another of my friends came up to meet me. She was standing on the sidewalk and the bouncer told her she had to go to the end of the line (which was half way down the block). She said she would go but since her cell phone was dead she was just trying to arrange where we would meet. She's a very polite and pretty girl but the bouncer told her she had to go to the end of the line this instant or she couldn't go in. She said very nicely to him, Can I at least talk to my friend for one second??? He said he didn't like her attitude and that she wasn't allowed in at all. He told her to get out of there and go home. Then he made a big scene of telling the other bouncer that she wasn't allowed in and then he was like-I have all the power. You will not be partying here tonight!!! He was acting psychotic and like he was on some sort of power trip. We were completely calm and asked to speak to the manager who apologized for the bouncer's behavior and let us right in for free-which was great but I was afraid the bouncer was going to start shooting people or something-he should be fired. They need to have more professional people working the door.

I did my birthday party there last Saturday and it was great. I called and made all the arrangements pre-ordering bottles, some appetizers and a even cake. (My birthday is once a year I had to do it up) It was awesome! I got there around 11pm and the line was already thick but we where able to walk right to the door and state our reservation, real VIP service.

I would definitely recommend doing a party there, invest in a few bottles and party the night away.

Looking for a really fun night! Not Happening at BLVD.. We had spoken to some guy there he said he would put our names on the guest List and were told that we would get right in and everything was cool.. We Pulled up and before we even got out of the Limo one of the bouncer cought an attitude about how rollin up there like that aint garunteeing we were getting in and to turn the music down or get out of there. Which whats the big deal its music your at a bar. But then we said we on the guest list and they were completely rude about everything said we werent on the guest list and we needed to buy 3 bottles minimum to get in otherwise we werent getting anywhere. We were looking to party so we didnt mind but then they kept catching attitudes and being rude and not wanting us to even get in the bar.. So0o0o for future references i read everyones reviews on this page and i figured ok maybe ppl took it too far, lets try it anyways.. but no everyone is right. Let alone we were not the only ones complaining while standing outside trying to get things starightened out others were complaining and leaving also!! So if ur looking to have fun go elsewhere dont even bother!

A girlfriend of mine booked a joint birthday party here--they asked for a ridiculous minimum purchase from her and they were rude and unwilling to accommodate her party whatsoever. They wanted to make her wait in line, and refused to accommodate her party because they said they booked 8 birthdays that night. We were forced to wait in line for over an hour in the bitter cold on Saturday, and as a result, she had many people from her party leave, because they had problems getting in, were treated rude by the bouncers/security, etc. Even though there is no "official" dress code, they were turning away men who did not have collared shirts, including men in my group, who were dressed very nice (blazers, shoes, etc). I have been to this club on other many other occasions and never seen them act so rude at the door, not only to our party, but to others as well. Even when you do get inside, the bartenders are not attentive, and the drinks are just OK, the club plays good music sometimes, and the decor inside is really nothing special. There are many other nicer, trendier clubs in NYC. Don't bother with Blvd its not worth the headache!

I booked a joint birthday party here and half of my guests never made it in! I walked up to the door with a cake and balloons in hand and was told that I had to get in line with everyone else, mind you I booked a birthday party (which requires a 2 bottle minimum and the cheapest thing on the drink menu is about $190) and the line was halfway down the block at 11 pm! Anyway, I wound up calling someone and was able to get right in AFTER they gave me a headache about someone in my party wearing sneakers (which we were told was OK with a blazer and the bouncer told us that very minute at the door, that for tonight, NO they were not going to accept sneakers even w/ a blazer, so if you went that night that way, and didn't know they were changing it for that night only, well, you were just going to be out of luck!) In the end, we got in, but not after the doorperson AND security being rude to ALL of us. My friends waited about 45 minutes in line and asked the doorperson if they could start moving the line because they were freezing (dresses on) and he said "If you don't like it. Leave." So, she did just that. They never got to come in and join my party! Another of my friends waited an hour in line to get in! After that, I got call after call about the line being too long and it not moving and my guests leaving, because there WAS NO separate guest list line! They created a line for "bottle" service, from what I hear though. Then, my girlfriend came w/ her boyfriend and they decided her boyfriend couldn't get in because he wasn't wearing a collar shirt, YET he was wearing shoes and a blazer w/ a sweater underneath! There were TONS of men in that place with sneakers on! I spent $700 on liquor to be treated like dirt by the people at the door, security and the bouncer in the VIP section was rude to most of my guests. Some decided to stay out in the general area rather than VIP because of it!
This place RUINED our birthday's! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT GO HERE!

To make it short and maybe sweet, my boyfriend and I, after waiting on line for almost an hour in the freezing cold, they spontaneously make up a new rule, NO MORE DUDES! No more dudes?!?!? Not even couples! Now, in my experience, aren't the "dudes" the ones who spend the big bucks in these clubs??? To top it off, my cousin chose this awful place to celebrate a birthday. No dudes, LOL. I'll remember that for a long time and of course never go there again!

Having your B-day party is a MUST. I've attended two B'day parties at BLVD on a Sat one during the summer and the other just recently Dec 16th. and each time it gets better.( maybe because of the bottle service..lol).Getting there early is recommended, I suggest 11pm. The line can get very long and coat check line is even longer. B4 12pm its already poping and packed, with a mix attractive dress-up crowd. Putting yourself on the guestlist is recommended. The music was on point. I liked dancing in the other spacious room next to the white VIP room. Over all I had a blast.

I was on a date with a girl who was "too cool" for this place so we didn't stay too long, but looking around, I totally wanted to stay longer. The place played popular dance/reggaton/hip hop which seemed to keep bodies moving. The drinks average, like any other bar/club in the city. We were on a "list" so waited in the shorter of the 2 lines. They did enforce a minor dress code outside, no sneakers.. stuff like that. Staff keeping order outside were friendly to us, and I advise, don't go as a group of guys or solo... you will wait longer. Women have no problems getting in and since I was a "couple", we got in no problem. Go and have fun.

Staff keeping order outside were friendly to us, and I advise, don't go as a group of guys or solo... you will wait longer. Women have no problems getting in and since I was a "couple", we got in no problem. Go and have fun.

Pros: Fun crowd

Cons: long wait
