I bought a necklace and earring set a couple of weeks ago for my daughter to wear to the prom. After I got home with it and she tried it on it didn't hang right. I took it back today in the original package WITH THE RECEIPT and asked to exchange it. Three ladies went into a huddle off to the side to discuss it. I overheard one of them say it wasn't their jewelry even though I HAD THE RECEIPT. I was told they would not exchange. So remember girls, if it doesn't fit or it's broken you're STUCK with it if you buy from Nathans! I have many more dances and weddings to buy for in the future so it's good thats there are alot of other formal wear shop to buy from and I suggest you do the same.

We purchased a dress for my mother (grandmother of the groom). It came in promptly and was altered incorrectly and could not be fixed. Carolyn the Manager was very nice and took care of the situation promptly. Although it did not go 100% according to plan I still feel they are a good place to buy evening or wedding apparel and would go back.

I recently purchased my wedding gown, veil, broach, shoes, and bridesmaid dresses from Nathan's, as well as rented tuxs here and I have nothing bad to say! The staff was wonderful! Any time I called or stopped by they were VERY helpful! I mostly dealt with Carolyn and she was always very nice, never rude! I also purchased a dress from Nathan's for a formal when I was in high school and I never had any problems then! I would recommend Nathan's!

I have shopped at Nathan's for 8 years now and have experienced nothing but world class treatment from the entire staff. I like the motto "Treat others as you would like to be treated." But I guess it does help that I have worked in retail for 5 years and I understand what it is like to put up with women like the 5 below me.

We bought a dress at Nathans that was beautiful. I suggest not going on a Sat. they store is very busy. Be careful with the alterations the dress we bought was almost cut to short.

I have had one of the most horrible experiences at this dress shop and would advise you to take your business somewhere else. I ignored warnings from others, figuring how bad could it be? They were incredibly nice on the phone and helping me order my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses, so I wasn't too worried. When my dress came in the sales ladies had nothing but positive comments. When I called to say I wasn't thrilled with the way the back looked because the buttons didn't cover the zipper, again, incredibly helpful! Once I showed up for alterations, the entire story changed. Now, comments were made that my $650 dress was cheap and that's what happens when things are made in China, and that's just how it comes. Not only were those comments made, but Carolyn actually poked my side and commented that the dress looked "tight". Of course, 1.5 weeks before it was "perfect". Then she commented that I get the dress dirty every time I put it on and that's why I should go ahead and get the bustling taken care of now. The bustling was supposed to be tackings in 5 locations, and only 3 were done, but two of the locations consisted of BUTTONS on my BUTT!. Both the alterations lady and Carolyn (sales lady) claimed that's how dresses are bustled... that brides leave their store all the time with buttons on their butt. When I refused to pay for the alterations, Carolyn attempted to hold my dress hostage. I offered to renegotiate pricing for alterations for the hooks she put along the zipper line (that looked fantastic) but was told that the only way I was leaving the store was if I paid the $45. I gave them my card and asked that my tux order (9 tuxes) be cancelled. She then told me alterations were CASH ONLY and fine, she would cancel the tuxes but they weren't ordered anyway since no one had paid yet (4 of the tuxes were already paid for). I was shocked at the CASH ONLY requirement since there was no sign posted and I had not been previously informed of that.... my bridesmaids quickly came up with $45 and I asked for my tux order with "CANCELLED" written on it. Carolyn then said well I'm not giving you the measurements then -- the only person she measured was my GROOM!!! The others called in their measurements from other states!!!
Now, 2 days later, the men that paid for their tuxes are calling for their refunds and yes, Nathan's Bridal is refunding our money. My father asked for his refund, commenting that he didn't know what happened but that he needed to cancel his order, and was told that I was BRIDEZILLA.
Now, all of you out there thinking about going here... I am in no way, shape or form, a bridezilla. I called about one dress, came to the store, loved it and tried it on, ordering it on the spot. Each of my bridesmaids called in from different states and ordered their individual dresses... they weren't even all the same! I'm not sure what this salesperson's idea of a bridezilla actually is, but I am officially warning every to-be bride to stay as far away from Nathan's Bridal as possible. Your dress can be found elsewhere for just as great a price.
