This place is an absolute den of thieves. They try to constantly up sell services and charge much more that your insurance co-pay. As an example, I should have only been charged a $60 co-pay for a root canal treatment. Instead, they lied

OK dental work BUT an unscrupulous business ethic. These people straight up lied to me and had me sign an authorization for extra root canal charges to the tune of $675.00 beyond what I should have paid with my insurance coverage. They

Please be aware of the constant up-selling and recommendation of unneeded services that this company does. My experience with this dental group is one that they tried very hard to sell me on needing a deep cleaning, scaling and root planning. I was also told I needed to have my silver fillings removed in favor of onlays and that I needed a new crown and if it was not done soon I would need a root canal. I went to get a second opinion since this was all new information to me and my previous checkups in another state had gone fine. On my second opinion from a dentist with 35 years experience that my spouse has seen since childhood, but isn't covered by our insurance, my pocket diagnostic was 1 to 2 sizes smaller, so the need for a deep cleaning was not really there and was told that there are no cracks around the silver fillings, so there is no real immediate need to have them replaced and when I do have them replaced, onlays aren't really needed, just a porcelain filling would be fine. Upon inspection of my current crown, he said all was fine and I could probably go another ten years with it and to only look into having it replaced if decay takes place or I experience any pain in that area.
When I went back to San Marcos Dental Group to simply state that decline the services they suggested and tried to upsell and that I would just like a regular 6 months cleaning and to wait on my deep cleaning til maybe next time in 6 months, they refused to see me. Dr. Nosti returned my call to confirm that they would not see me again unless I went with the expensive treatment for the deep cleaning. So now I have to find a different dentist just to get a regular cleaning. Ridiculous.
I would strongly recommend seeing another dental group if you can at all help it. As an HMO dental provider, they accept cheaper insurance and therefore hire entry level dentists that need the experience and then rope you into high expense procedures to settle their need for revenue and gain experience for their newly licensed dentists.
Think twice before going here.

The whole family is now going here. I have experienced the worst dental treatment from other dentists for the past few years. They made me so comfortable here. I finally found a place that I am not afraid of. Even the kids loved it.
*So organized
*Friendly staff
*Newest technology
*Payment plans
*All the doctors you need under one roof. Very convenient!
I just had work done in one day that would have taken 6 or more visits to my old dentist..
Thanks to the staff & Dr. Bagheri I feel very comfortable here.
My kids saw Dr Tran & Dr. Bagheri on their visits
Next is a visit to the Orthodontist for my daughter, a visit to the Endodontist for myself & my husband will see Dr Bagheri.
Updates coming soon!

Very similar experience to the poster above, but we were scammed out of thousands for very, very shoddy work. For more reviews -including my full review @Gett N M - go to Yelp and see more reviews. Almost everyone who has gone here has had a similar experience.

This place is THE WORST!! I was assigned to them by my insurance. It had been 6mos since my last regular cleaning appt with my old dentist (had to change due to insurance change...). 6mos before I went to this place my teeth were in great shape, no issues. After my inital exam and xrays the dentist told me I needed $5K worth of work ($12K w/o insurance). When I told them no way, if I had that kind of money I would be on vacation not getting dental work and that I was going to get a second opinion, they volunteered to get it cleared with insurance. Never heard back from insurance and the dental office called me repeatedly to request that I schedule my work. I had finally get very rude with the poor girl that called and told them I WAS NEVER GOING BACK TO THEM. I have filed a grievance with my insurance company and have also filed a complaint with the BBB.\r
