Body Bar Salon & Day Spa

I normally don't go the day spa route when I need to get tanned, usually the local tanning place will do fine. The problem with the traditional tanning places is you can't always get in when you want and I didn't have any time to waste. I had an unexpected shoot come up and needed to get air brushed. After calling around for places that could fit me in right away, the Body Bar Salon & Day Spa were the first ones who could get me in. After speaking to them for several minutes about the experience level of the tech who was going to airbrush me, I felt comfortable enough to make an appointment and head on over. The salon is what you would expect out of a nice spa - serene, calm, nice decor. They were very nice and took me to the room where I was to be sprayed. The girl who sprayed me did a good job and we chatted the whole time. I appreciate that she took her time and asked for my approval as we went. As far as day spas go, I can't comment. As far as their airbrushing, I give them top marks.

No one ever answers the phones. It took forever to even get a phone call back. I've been there a couple times, and the first day I was't even acknowledged by the receptionist girl. Good salons would know your name on your first day! The music is inapproriate and the way some of staff dresses is very unprofessional (ugly toes and armpits)! Gross... The website has been outdated for months- Half the staff listed is not even at this salon anymore! It doesn't really matter now since this place is finally shutting down. There were only 2 stylists worth going for anyway...
