My wife and I had dinner here over the July 4th weekend and thought it was quite nice. The space is huge and beautifully decorated in faux mediterranean style. The have a nice back patio but it was a little hot to sit out there so we sat up front near the windows. Service was excellent - friendly, told us what they really liked on the menu, attentive. When they noticed we weren't drinking one of our cocktails they inquired about it and then didn't charge us for it. Started with the tuna tartare which hit the spot. Shared a wonderful fish special - a Mediterranean sea bass done in their wood fired grill. Nice cocktails and easy to catch a movie afterwards. We noticed families were there too. Fine to bring kids. I'd go back.

I couldn't have had a better experience here if I tried. The atmosphere was serene, we sat by the cafe style windows (which were closed) but enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace that lit up the area from behind glass doors. Each dish was created with such a variety of flavors that it was so much fun to eat and left us anxious for the next course. We had a beet salad with feta and a very tasty vinaigrette. We ordered the Penne pasta with smoked chicken in a creamy pesto sauce that was shared so we could try several things without getting to costly. But i have to say it was so good i wanted the whole thing for myself! ha! We shared a bottle of an excellent Argentine wine and had a great night! I reccommend it highly!

I have only eaten lunch here. But, the food is great! They have a great appetizer menu and dessert menu. The atmosphere is fun. The interior is beautiful and definately a place to revisit. It is located in Downtown Redwood City.

The food was awesome, the atmosphere was great although it can get a little noisy. Its got a very open feel to it and the service is stellar! A great addition to Downtown Redwood City. Try the flatbread, its great.

Unique food, beautiful presentation, romantic atmosphere and great service ... what more would one need to have a wonderful dining experience?!! We've been there several times and have always enjoyed the food. Nice to have a San Francisco calibre restaurant in the Peninsula.

We had such a nice time at Mandaloun! The shrimp, beef carpaccio and lamb skewers were delicious. The Faust Cab was perfect with our dinner. For entrees, we had the osso bucco, steak and pork shoulder. They were also very good. The service was first rate. I will definitely go here again.

You won't find another place like this in or near Redwood City. The service was the absolute greatest! Our glasses were always full and the menu suggestions were unbelievable. Everything was perfect down to the atmosphere. We started off with the hummus and the fungi pizza, then the flat iron steak, and ended with the churros with espresso dipping sauce. Everything was very tasty and perfectly cooked. We will definately be back.

We went with a large group and shared several appetizers (cod/fries, Moroccan cigars, kibbeh). All were good, not great. My wife and I had a funghi pizza and short rib for dinner.....pizza was good, the short rib was outstanding. For dessert, we tried the molten chocolate cake and pear crisp - both looked decadent but were very bland - so would skip it for the ice cream across the street! The ambiance is wonderful and they've done a great job with the place. Service was good.... they were busy (Sat. nite), and were slow on getting the main courses to us, but apologized and brought out some hummus. Definitely get a reservation.

I had lunch for the first time at Mandaloun and felt like I wanted to stay all afternoon. It was a comfortable, warm, and friendly ambience with fireplaces and attentive staff. The menu provided a great assortment of large and small servings of uniquely wonderful food. The presentation was creative and the food was mouthwatering. If you are on a limited lunch schedule you don't have to wait long to be served. I would love to return for dinner.

TAPAS

We were looking for tapas, something tastey with a variety and in small portions. Manaloun was a surprising find in our own neighborhood.

Spacious, the decor is clean yet warm, there is dining out front during the summer and enclosed in colder seasons, but it was warm & quaint--not noisy.

The range of tapas was great (3 plates for $15), then we added a medium dish, salad, and ended up taking a pizza home. All reasonably priced. Very good wine selection. Reservations were recommended as it was full when we dropped in for the first time (Sat).

I will recommend this to friends and come back again. Enjoy.
