I always loved the food at Petrelli's. Th waiters were wonderful and had been there for the past ten years. It was a weekly dining experience for us. The crazy old lady that always seated us just got worse and worse each and every year.

The only good thing I can say about my visit is the service besides that the meat was pedestrian in quality I highly doubt that it was even USDA prime. I would compare the quality to Norms (where for 10.00 you could get the same if not better quality, definitely when it comes to sides). I did ask for the George Extra Large Porterhouse it was tough, tasted old had no flavor , was not properly cooked half the steak was burnt the other was raw, the dinner rolls were stale the Cup of beef soup was flavorless and watered down, the salad was a pathetic excuse for one with some bits of wilted lettuce. The two sides that came with the steak were a baked potato which was tiny and came with too much sour cream and 3 shreds of cheddar cheese. The French fries were obviously frozen they tasted of stale old oil. The overall decor was old and tacky, and the walls and booth were dirty and greasy. Finally the beer was not cold enough and semi flat from the get go. For the 80.00 I dropped I would highly recommend going to Fogo De Chao in Beverly hills on La Cienega, their the service is better, clean warm environment, the meat is of the finest top quality cooked by professionals. The sides are mouthwatering and their drinks are perfect.

Pros: The only good thing I can say about my visit is the service
Cons: everything
Years ago, across the street was Joe Petrelli's Steak House. It was good! George Petrelli's Steak House is overrated and overpriced. Many people from work RAVE about it. I find the food, especially the burgers, overpriced and low on flavor. I think the Counter, The Shack, Apple Pan (my all-time favorite) and many others blow them away, for less!

The service is horrible, the food is under or over cooked, with no taste at all. I had the urge to bring my steak back home to cook and have a more pleaseant athosphere.
1Probably sacrilege to be writing this, especially as I have lived in Culver City my whole life, but I just don't find this place that good. Perhaps I am wrong, but I doubt it.
3Petrelli's is a classic old Culver City joint that has seen much better days. It's straight out of the 50's, and not in a good way: so-so steak, overcooked vegetables, stingy drinks...it's like being at an old, over-priced cafeteria. I had really high hopes for the place when I first went because I love old steakhouses, but this one went to seed a long time ago.

I should have been suspicious that the parking lot was almost empty. Hadn't been to Petrelli's since they moved into the new building across the street from where they once were located. The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 on a

I have never left the restaurant either hungry or disappointed. The steaks are surpurb. The ribeye is to long for. The owners are most pleasant and add to the dining pleasure. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is hungry

I HAVE BEEN EATING AT PETRELLI'S SINCE I WAS A CHILD, A MERE 50+ YEARS AGO. THE FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN EXCELLENT, BUT IF YOU WANT THE "ULTIMATE HAMBURGER" THEN YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIRS, IT'S A 1/2 LB OF MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, GROUND SIRLOIN,

The parking lot was very full, but they still managed to seat us almost immediately on a Saturday night. Service was friendly and efficient, and the steak was awesome.

A Culver City institution, Petrelli's Steakhouse has that wonderful 1950's style ambiance with it's red leather booths, waitresses that have worked there forever, and the BEST BURGER you've ever tasted! It's big, beefy and
