The food was awesome as it is at every Ruth's Chris I've been to. We had the Happy Hour specials of Seared Tuna and the prime rib sliders. WHOA! Those sliders were amazing and only $5 for 2...that makes a whole meal for me!\r\nOn the flip side, the wines by the glass list is ridiculously short and boring. My husband doesn't drink wine so I'm not going to order an entire bottle just for me. That meant I got the usual wine. And, they have cheap wine glasses. I would expect such an upscale place to have higher end, cut edge glasses.

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Seattle is a pretty solid restaurant. It's open from 6:30am to Midnight and serves, breakfast, lunch and dinner and has two happy hours everynight. It is consistantly good and tasty.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary last night (Saturday August 30th at 6:30pm). We had Michael for our waiter and he was outstanding. The entire staff was very nice and friendly as well. The food was wonderfu too and the steaks were done to perfection. It was our anniversary and they had the happy anniversary confetti along with 2 glasses of complimentary champagne to celebrate. We had a really nice time and will definitely go back.

Ruth Chris may be a restaurant chain from the South, but with its incredible food, atmosphere, and service you would never know it. Seattle's Ruth Chris is a carnivore haven. Incredible cuts of quality beef, particularly the beef filets. Don't overlook the signature RC dishes, garlic mashed potatoes and cream spinach. yum. Service is top notch, and always willing to be a part of unconventional conversation. \r\n

I really don't understand why so many people like this place. I've eaten at a lot of steakhouses and this is nothing special. Do yourself a favor and try the Metropolitan Grill or Jack's instead.

Cons: just average steak; might as well go to Dennys

We assumed by the well decorated dining room, booked out seating, and high prices that we were in for a treat. Were we ever wrong. I ordered the portabello mushroom dish. It was blah and unseasoned. It was accompanied with equally blah and over sized portions of asparagus, mashed potatoes, broccoli, button mushrooms, and tomatoes. Three vegies would have been adequate for the dish. My husbands meal was the opposite...his stuffed chicken was really a piece of chicken, and he had to search for some kind of stuffing. He ate off my weeks worth of vegetable serving plate, since the sides were additional$$$. Oh! I almost forgot about the ""Ruth"" salad. Yes it was cole slaw with french fried onion rings on top. When I go out and spend a $100 on dinner I expect that it taste better then my own mediocre cooking.

My husband had heard good things about this chain and wanted to try it for our anniversary. I had planned all the other details of our big day but dinner. So his suggestion sounded good and the restaurant was able to get us in within 30 minutes. They tossed some glittery ""Happy Anniversary"" confetti on our table and seated us right away. They gave us each a glass of champagne on the house for the occasion. We were off to a fine start. Opening the menu we were a little perplexed. A rib-eye was almost $40; and all it came with was a plate, knife and fork. A baked potato was another $7+ and green beans almondine another $7+. We ordered crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. All four of them were tasty (almost $13), real crab; but the mushrooms weren't even ""stuffer"" size, just plain white caps like you'd use every day at home. The glass of pinot grigio I ordered was huge...but that made the actual amount of pinot grigio look paltry (about 3/4 cup worth) and I don't even know what it cost. Appetizers arrived very quickly. Then we sat, and sat and sat. A table of 3 that arrived after us was served before we were and a table of 6 that arrived after the table of 3 was served and paying their check before our food arrived. My husband's rib eye was okay, nothing special. My stuffed chicken breast ($23+) was well seasoned and tasty on top, bland and dry on the bottom. To add insult to injury, there was a hair on my plate that was not my own. The service was pretty good, until our food was obviously taking too long. At that point our server made himself scarce! Luckily the water server and crumb wiper were very attentive. Un-luckily, we were interrupted so often it made conversation difficult. Needless to say, we did not stay for dessert! We just walked out shaking our heads wondering what all the ""rave reviews"" had been about.

Cons: Just didn't live up to the hype.

I brought some freinds from out of town into Ruths last Saturday and am sorry for it. One of our steaks had to be sent back for under cooking and the Filet Mignon I ordered was undercooked as well. 2 of the side dishes were almost cold. I don't mind paying good money for a great restaurant experience. Ruths though, probably wont be seeing me or our groups in there again. I hear about a resaurant called Jacks in west Seattle I am going look up next or possibly El Goucho.

I've been to a few Ruth's Chris Steakhouses accross the country and I have yet to really enjoy any visit. \r\nOn a positive note the Fillet mignon was fork tender although quite flavorless, mercifully it comes floating in a plate of garlic butter. The Ribeye however, is completely forgettable. If you want a steak, you have a myriad of superior options. I'd rate Ruth's Chris's food a notch above Sizzler. The service was consistently good, however never great.

My husband and I had dinner here before seeing a play at the Paramount. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Her service was grand up until we got our food. However, as soon as we got out food we didnt see her for 20 mins. This would not normally be a problem except we ran out of wine and water. By the time we were sharing a glass of water she finally showed up and appeared to be admonishing the busboy, so maybe it was his fault. Not a big deal, but I am pretty low maintenance and really all I ask for is take my order, make sure it's right and keep my glass full. For the $ of this place, seems they would have this piece down.\r\n\r\nFood. We started with crabcakes. These were probably the worse crabcakes I have ever had. They were pretty tasteless. Not real heavy, but just lacking taste. We each had petite filets and shared the sauteed mushrooms and garlic mashed. The mashed and 'shrooms were incredible! I would go back again just for them. The steak was cooked perfectly, but for $35 it just didnt knock my socks off. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back, but will try a different entree. \r\n\r\nAmbience was business casual with alot of friendly group dinners, etc. \r\n\r\nThis was a nice experience and the food was very good. I am just not sure it's worth $$$$.

Cons: Try something besides the Filet

This steak house is priced and positioned as a classy joint for tender steaks. The steaks are of great quality, but the negative aspects outweigh the positives in a restaurant that fails to live up to its presentation. The environment has a small splash of class, and the lights are dim. The majority of the visitors are in groups, so expect large friendly gatherings (making lots of noise) and not much romance. If you make a reservation for celebration of a birthday or anniversary, then you will get a scoop of relative confetti on your table. \r\nRuth?s C.S.H. suffers from ?franchise disease?: uncaring/inattentive staff and food quality that isn?t consistent. \r\nMy waiter didn?t give a damn about our celebration, after seeing the confetti he didn?t even smile or congratulate us, and was obviously in ?hustle and bustle? mode. He only checked up on us once, which was really pathetic because he didn?t even bring the food, water, or bread.\r\nThe surprise about the menu is that the steaks charge mid to high range prices, but do not include the traditional sides of salad, baked potato, etc. These are additional costs. The appetizers and sides I?ve ordered were nearly grocery store quality. So is the overall quality over price ratio good? No. The fillet and lamb are very tender. If you?re a fat loving butter eater, you?ll love the steak plates which are presented with boiling butter at the base of the steak. However, for the same price you could get double the entrees with superior sides, included with no extra cost, at a medium priced steak house (and you wouldn?t tell the difference with the service). This steak house simply doesn?t deliver enough quality in their food or service to justify the higher prices. If you have an obsession with steak, and only steak, then go ahead and give this place a try, but if you are looking for a classy join -- then look elsewhere. By the way, the bartenders? mixing skills are a joke.

Who can beat a $3 filet mignon sandwich?? Maybe it's a finger sandwich but there's two for $3. The shrimp over the garlic mashed potatos are very tasty. The ahi tuni mmmm! Happy hour here is great. 4-7pm everyday!!! \r\n\r\nWe also celebrated my brothers birthday here in July and it was fantastic. We made a reservation on their website and selected that it was for a birthday. When we arrived, the table was decorated with ""happy birthday"" silver confetti. It was a nice touch and we appreciated it. The prime rib was delicious, as always!!!

My boyfriend took me to Ruth's Chris for my birthday a few weeks ago and I have to say it was such a great night. When we were sat at our table they had put Happy Birthday confetti all over the table and sat us in a cozy booth for two. We both had the steak and the Au Gratin Potatoes and Brocolli and I must say everything was perfect. The steak you could cut with a fork it was so tender and the side dishes were to die for. Along with the great service and food they suprised me and let me pick a dessert of of the menu at no extra charge. I loved the whole evening and it will be hard to now go and order a steak anywhere else!!

I am having a problem with a few reviews that state that they did not like Ruth's Chris. I have visited Ruth's Chris on several occassions and have always had a wonderful experience.\n\nThe steaks melt in your month. The appetizers have wonderful taste, the wine pairing is without a doubt right on. Lets not forget the deserts... what a taste and a great way to end a fantastic meal.\n\nThe wait staff along with the management know how to treat their guests. My hat is off to Ruth's Chris in both Bellevue and Seattle. To a great experience and a great time.

I went to Ruth's Chris new location in Seattle and I'm not sure if they got a new cook or what, but the food is just not how I remembered it. I used to die any chance I got to go to Ruth's Chris for the steak that would just literally melt in your mouth. Now...not so much. The steak was still okay but every piece of my meal was just missing something!?! Worth a shot, but not on the top of my list anymore.

I recently went to the new Ruth's Chris for Lunch and the service was sketchy, the steaks were under done or overcooked...not even one steak was right. The Beef Tenderloin salad was overdressed iceberg lettuce with 3 of the SMALLEST pieces of meat I have ever seen on it. for $15 I would hope that I would have gotten more then three bites of steak.\nThe banana cream pie was FANTASTIC though so perhaps I will go for just dessert next time.

    Cons: limited lunch menu, service

The ambiance is lovely, the service was good and the food tasted fine the menu was too limited. You have your choice of two appetizers, two salads, a soup and six entrees. The Kobe beef that was raved about comes in the form of a burger! A tasty burger but not what I had been hoping for. The filet comes with a salad and fries as the side, we had already ordered a salad before dinner. I would have rather seen a few more choices of steaks and some veggies as sides. The wine and bar menus are amazing though.

I don't even know how to start describing the taste of the Snake River Farms Kobe Beef. Its luscious.... For those who likes to eat beef, you have to try this one.. Order them rare(or med. rare) ... Yummy... Just in case anyone never heard of Kobe beef, go to google, type : ""Definition: Kobe beef"" <--- you will understand why. Oh..by the way, the service and atmosphere are great (but who cares about that, if the food is that great) :) Oh!! If you dont like rare beef, you better dont bother spend the money.

Took my fiance here for his birthday and we both loved it. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. She emphasized on how they cook their steak and gave us great suggestions on what kind of sides goes with our choices. The price was a little steep but well worth the quality of steak and the service they provide. Would definitely take my parents here from Texas and trust me, they know steak!

First, service was good but only until after we ordered. After that, we never saw our waiter again until he dropped the bill off. It took over 45 minutes to get drink refills. And that's with placing the order with the busser. It was not even busy, we went on a Thursday night.\nI ordered my steak medium. I got a black piece of charcoal that tasted, just like charcoal. I overheard two other tables complaining to the manager and one even sent their food back, so I know it was'nt just us.\nToo pricey for the bad food and service, seems all they care about is taking your order, then thats it! The manager offered us nothing and asked us to call him on our next visit. I dont think I will return. Too many other chioces out there like El Goucho and Daniels Broiler.\nDo Not Recommend -

After a disappointing time in the Bellevue Ruths, we decided to give the Seattle location a try on our anniversary. WOO!! It was so good! The lobster bisque was magnificant, the waitstaff was friendly as were all the staff, my portabello mushrooms were amazing and the drinks were fantastic. For all this, the bill was easy on the eyes, and it was nice to realize that a bowl of that awesome lobster bisque and a salad was priced well enough to enjoy it for lunch now and again. Two thumbs up on this place for sure!

Steak comes out sizzling (literally). I had the large filet and ate %100 of the fine piece of prime grade beef. Not the smallest amount of gristle could be found. \n\nAs for sides, the creamed spinach was good. The fries were nothing special, about the same as you would find at Red Robin. We ordered a lobster on the side that was TEENY and way overpriced. \n\nDessert was just OK. Cheesecake and banana cream pie were the choices. A half notch above a gourmet grocery store's offerings.

Another fantastic addition to the downtown Seattle restaurant scene. Food is excellent, drinks are some of the best in town in my opinion. Great atmosphere. Great for happy hour. Great bar, friendly staff.

My husband and I used to like to eat at 727 because we both could have a delicious, gourmet meal (he being a carnivore and me being a vegetarian). I am disappointed that they have taken the vegetarian tasting menu off the menu. The kitchen wasn't flexible (most restaurants will bend over backwards to create something special) and my request for something vegetarian was largely ignored. I ended up having to order from the bar menu, while my husband had the Kobe beef (which he said was fantastic). Pizza and Saint Joseph wine. Not the best combo. I will say that the sommelier was fantastic and our waiter was truly apologetic. It's a bummer that we won't be back, because we really used to like the joint!

My wife and I have eaten at more than 20 Ruth's Chris locations and the Seattle location is still one of our favorites. Our concern is that as the chain has grown, quality has steadily declined. Steaks and sides - once flawless and delicious to the point of tears - are now a crapshoot with spotty quality and taste. My last rib eye was just ""OK"" (although my wife's petite fillet was perfect). Sides are generally quite good. But the prices. Especially as to sides and ANYTHING to drink (whether alcoholic or not) the prices are frankly obscene and shameful. As the years have passed, Seattle has developed local options to Ruth's Chris that may provide better dining if not better value. IOHO.

Ruth's is a fabulous steakhouse. Sure the atmosphere isn't the best, but is warm, cozy and inviting. The people there are the best, not stuck up like at some other places. And the steak! Truly the best cuts of meat in town, and cooked exactally how you like it. Everytime. Ruth's is PRIME.

I have used this facility many times and there service is the best in Seattle. The resturant is also quite, and really has a elagant casual feel. Validited parking is a plus, not like other Seattle resturants.

What a disapointment. For the amount of money we spent, we could have, and should have, gotten much much better. My ribeye steak was as tasteless as a prime steak can possibly be, my wine was twenty minutes late (and the wrong wine) and in the end I was out a hundred bucks. Sigh. At least I learned something: don't go to Ruth's Chris!

My boyfriend had been wanting to try Ruth's Chris for a while and being that I don't eat steak I was reluctent to go. Finally I agreed - service was so slow we were there for 2 hours! 45 minutes of waiting for are food! Plus I found nothing on the menu but the cheesy potatoes. When they brought the food the waiter took my fork and left so I ate the potatoes with a serving spoon! CLASSY! He came back almost a hour later - just as were about to go looking for him. I say waste of time and money!

My mother and I went to the new Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Citysearch said it was a premier place to eat steak. NOT TRUE. Here is the real dish: 1. A mouthy Hooter girl served us dinner. 2. She and the other staff were over-solicitous, fake-baked and think Velveeta is an Italian cheese.3. The steak came at a nice temperature and the cut was excellent. 4. The side dishes were horrendous, much like Sizzler's or a trip to IHOP. 5. The wine list is remedial. 6. The place looks like a Marriot Hotel minus lighting and decent furniture. 7. The place reminded me of a Jersey Bar Mitzvah Hall. 8. The steak was good. 9. Go here if you went shopping all day and want to take a nap with the rest of the nouveau dot-bombers. 10. The menu is an attempt at Peter Luger without the knowledge.

I can admit, when you walk into the restaurant you're in awe of how upscale/fancy it is. It seems nice untill that is all you get to experience your first hour in the place. There average wait time after 6:00 PM is fourty-five minutes. Then after being seated and paying 10 dollars for a beer, you get to look at the menu, where you pay seperatly for everything you order. You'd think after paying a MINIMUM of thirty dollars per steak that it would come with a potato or something, it doesnt, you gotta pay extra for everything, even salad. Im not cheap or anything I was just totally dissapointed by the whole experience and the fact that our bill for two people was $150.00 for a meal I was not to thrilled with.

Ruth's Crist is on the league of another over-rated steakhouse. However, one can get a fairly decent piece of meat. Service is very good and the ambience if somewhat peaceful and classy, which is agreeable to one who is there for a steak and not a whole lot else. Expensive of course, but at least one can feel that the money spent bought something of worth to the palate.

I went to Ruth Chris and had the worst steak I have ever had. Not only did 3 people come out $200 for dinner, my steak which was a filet, was a poor cut and an even poorer cook. All around I was disappointed with the quality of the sides and the service. The best part of the evening was going home! Save your money and cook your own at home, it will be better!

I drove out to Ruths Chris last night for diner. Wow, the food was amazing. I had the New York and it was rich and full of flavor. The best I've ever had. I was with a group, and it was great that we could all share our sides. While expensive Ruth's Chris offers great value with their choice of sides. A much better idea than serving something you don't really want on the side of the plate. I just wish I didn't have to drive into Seattle to have a great Steak. Did I mention the sizzling plate...

I dined again at Ruth's Chris the other night and was pleased as always. I've dined at other Ruth's Chris before, but the one in Seattle adds a special touch. It really feels like a local restaurant. And the steak... truly unforgetable. I find the steak is always cooked to perfection at Ruth's Chris and by far is the most flavorful cut there is. I would recommend Ruth's Chris Seattle to anyone.

I dined at Ruth's Chris with my boyfriend last night. The the steak was very high quality. However, we didn't find the atmosphere at all romantic, particularily because they seated us at a table, instead of a booth. We found this interesting since there were parties that looked like business dinners that were sitting in booths. Don't they consider this? \n\nWe had a very nice time. But, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. The service was slower than average and they completely forgot our only special request. For the same money, I would rather go to Daniel's on Lake Union or the Met, where the service is always excellent and everything is not a la carte.

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful earthy colors and modern styling of the restaurant. The warm intimate lighting. Friendly, helpful service. The food was artistically presented and was a feast for the eye as well as the palate. Extensive wine list has something for everyone. We felt this was a must dining ""experience"" for those people who truly enjoy food with complex, wonderful flavor in a cozy setting. Perfect for a dinner for two (like us!) or a gathering of several. Highly recommended by us!

We've tried lots of restaurants and this was one of the best. Good appetizers, good steaks, good service, and they got us out in time for us to go to the theater. Don't miss the BBQ sauce with the steak: it is different than the typical Seattle fare. Excellent and reasonably priced wine list. The lobster tortilla appetizer was wonderful. Give it a try!

Have been to El Gaucho (great but expensive and dress code), and the Met (pretentious and self important but good), but the best steak was at Ruth's. The waitress was friendly, service was good (their house salad with palm hearts was unexpectedly enjoyable), and they let the meat speak for itself- was perfectly done. Only negative was my tomato salad was not in season and therefore only ok. We had scotch & cigars in their smoking room. Very attentive staff, loved it!

Not if you dine at Ruth's Chris in Seattle. I'm from out of town and have a Ruth's back home. I was surprised at the bad reviews the Seattle location recieved. ARE YOU CRAZY? I can't resist the best steak in the Northwest so I gave it a try dispite all the reviews. This place is better that the one back home. The food is very similar, the steaks are to die for, but the service and hospitality at the Seattle location are amazing. I met the owners, Anne and Steve, and their straight from Louisiana themselves. They definately made me feel like family while I was at their restaurant.\n\nSeriously... The best steaks in the Northwest.
