I recently had a great experience with Fischer Plumbing. I've used them before a few times, but that was years ago. The guy who came out this time around was just great.I live half the time here, and the other half in California. When I came up here the last time, I found that the plumbing under the sink was leaking. I called Fischer to have them replace all the plastic fixtures under the sink with steel parts. The plumber worked hard, and did the job very well, and quickly.Afterwards, I told my management company about my good experience with Fischer, only to discover that they were already recommending them regularly. I'm very glad I hired Fischer, because they got it just right.

We had to replace a pipe that went that went outside for the house because it had broken, and Fischer Plumbing was really timely. They were there when they said they would be there, gave a couple of different options for doing it, explained what they would do, finished it up, put the deck back together, and it was all set!

I had a very tricky, confusing issue--probably multiple issues. Steve really took the time to figure it out and finally solved the preliminary problem of a frozen pipe.\n\nHe was very thorough and I appreciated his tenacity and his communicating the various problems to me as he encountered them.\n

Unfair billing practices... Quotes different rate than actually charged. Material costs are about 3-5x at retailers.

Thanks for the extremely competent service provided by Michael - in identifying and fixing my detached pipes that caused flooding, and then investigating and quickly finding additional faulty connections (which would have led to more flooding had he not found them). He was awesome - personable, timely, and really knew what he was doing.\n

Have used Fischer a number of times. Plumbers are always extremely professional and I feel good about having them in my home or leaving them there if I want to. The quality of work is impeccable. I have used them for both simple to complex jobs. I trust this company to do a good job for me every time and have frequently recommended them to friends. They also have been very satisfied.

I posted a review the first time I used this company. This is a follow up: \r\n\r\nI own rental houses and need plumbers and other contractors more often than most folks; it's not always easy to find someone reliable. (I've had plumbing scenarios that are truly the stuff of nightmares and my psyche may have been irreversibly damaged by repeated exposure to the classic ""plumber's crack"".)\r\n \r\nI've used Fischer Plumbing four times now, each was a good experience and the charges were fair and realistic. \r\n\r\nThe most recent job, yesterday, was to repair a leak in my own kitchen . David, the same guy who did our first job, arrived within a couple hours of my phone call. Last time I failed to get his name, but he really deserves some recognition. He again showed up promptly, was quick, neat, well-groomed, polite and very personable. David discovered the leak was from a broken faucet. The faucet could not be repaired but he had one on his truck (Costly, but worth it so I didn't have to wait for a replacement or go out and buy one) David completed the repair promptly, and cleaned up before he left. \r\n\r\nIronically, later that day I discovered my husband had already purchased a very nice faucet. He'd planned to replace it himself but procrastinated for six months until a tiny drip became a major leak. Now I have a new faucet, a soggy cabinet, moldy sheetrock, a plumbing bill and a nice, shiny extra faucet in the garage - gee thanks, honey. \r\n \r\nI just wish I'd called Fischer Plumbing much sooner!\r\nToni Powell

I just bought my first condo and I found that Steve was very helpful in helping me get things in order with faucets and plumbing concerns. I will recommend him to friends in the area. Called dispatch. Within a few minutes of the call to dispatch, Jim called me, told me he was in the area, and would be right over. Less than 10 minutes later he was here, and had the problem diagnosed. Due to this being an old house, there were some logistical issues replacing the wax ring on the toilet. Jim was very forthcoming and thorough about what he was doing to fix the problem, and gave helpful advice on what I should think about doing for a more permanent fix. I will definitely use Fischer Plumbing in the future. Service was excellent, and done in a very timely manner. \r\n\r\nThank you!\r\n\r\n

Nice people, but the fix was so simple, they should be just a little bit embarrassed to charge as much as they did. $150 to turn a valve. The plumber said, ""Yeah, that's the problem about 95% of the time.""

I had a small job, did most of the legwork myself but hit a snag I wanted someone experienced to handle. Service was good but it was late and expensive, I would not call them again\r\n\r\nService time was 11AM-1PM, they called at 3PM and showed up at 3:30PM. Work was ~15 min.\r\n\r\nTo finish the job required a 3/4"" brass elbow and a 3/4"" brass connecting pipe (~1"" long). Charged > $30 for ""materials"".

Pros: Service was satisfactory once they showed up

I own rental houses and have had encounters with plumbers that could inspire the script for a truly horrific scary movie. This time I checked Citysearch - since my own business is listed here and my customers have posted dozens of good reviews (and a couple not so good) , I know it's a reliable resource. One plumbing company had a bunch of consistantly terrible reviews and I was glad for the warning. Fischer had great reviews and I decided to try them. The reviews were right on, and I'm happy to add mine to the bunch.\r\n\r\nWhen I called them the receptionist was pleasant, she had a licensed plumber call me back and he gave me a pretty good idea of the cost over the phone. (some companies charge $75 just to tell you they'll charge an arm and a leg.) The guy from Fischer showed up right on time. He was well groomed, very pleasant and polite, worked neatly. He installed a toilet on a cement floor where none had ever been; though he had to drill the cement to put in bolts, he had the entire task accomplished in less than an hour, with a bill about half what several others quoted. I'm sorry I didn't get the individual plumber's name, but he did a great job and I'm very pleased. I've already referred this company to my brother and to my leasing agent (she could REALLY use a better plumber-her guy overcharges and underperforms.) \r\n\r\nI'm glad found these guys and will certainly use them again. Keep up the good work, folks!

We really enjoyed having the guys from Fischer Plumbing work on our sewer lines. It was a messy job and very involved. We were impressed by how quickly they worked and how they took the time to clean up after they were complete. We cant thank them enough.

Isaac came out within one hour of my call. He was pleasant but not gabby. Knew what to do; wasted no time; cleaned up spotlessly and left. I would call them again.

I called fischer to come and look at a leak. They were at my restaurant for 2 minutes and left me with a $149 bill. I DO NOT recommend them. They said nothing was wrong, when really there was a terrible leak. Save yourself the money and time and forget Fischer FOREVER!
