This little place is often overlooked for only having Japanese - but it does serve a really good traditional Korean meal. My pick list includes - Bi-Bim-Bop, Galbi, Bulgogi, and Juk-Suk-Diagi-Bulgogi (spicy pork). These all come grilled ahead and brought out to you with all of the side dishes (namool). The side dishes change almost daily - go for something different - eat the Korean food here!

i just went to Ichiban tonite w/ some friends. the service we received was fantastic. the chef preparing our food was entertaining and conversational. i would definitely go back. it's better to go with a few friends than solo.

The Ichiban restaurant is a hidden treasure in Gurnee. Most of the restaturants in the 'burbs are so ordinary. The food is excellent and the service is a show in itself. Nino, one of the chefs, is the only reason you need to stop in for dinner.
