I wanted to take a woodshop class so I could build myself bookshelves, a captain's bed and an L shaped couch. Did some research and I found 3rd Ward and discovered not only can I take furniture design classes, I can take screenprinting, textile design and web design classes. Since I'm in the process of launching a design business this is huge.
So I signed up for the deluxe package $450 a month that comes all the classes included and a private workspace! I can't wait to start classes tomorrow. I also get use of the digital lab and giant photo studios and I use the address as a business address. This all adds up to a killer deal.
The people I met there so far are great. Friendly and helpful and fun and funny.
Recommended to anyone who wants to make something with their hands and needs instruction and a workshop to do it in.
