We stayed here for our anniversary, and I will say that we did not pay full price for our stay. The room they gave us only had a full bed and was on the front corner of the house. There was no a/c so the windows had to stay open and noise from the street was worse than I would have expected. We stayed in June and if it hadn't rained, the heat would have been extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast was decent, but we were not impressed by any of the amenities. To make matters worse, the owner called and emailed to solicit me on some business deal, which I thought was very shady. I give credit to the owners for trying to preserve this historic property, but we will not return and I would not recommend this B&B.

I also wanted to add that this place apparently has changed hands, and the cafe and restaurant the other reviewer referred to is no more.

The long history of the Nu Wray Inn extends back in time to when it was a stopping place for the stagecoach trip to Asheville. Today it is a charming place with a cozy rocking chair porch, overlooking the Burnsville green. Though it is small by the standards of today's lodging, it has over 20 individual rooms and about a half dozen suites. They will accommodate pets, if given advance notice. Breakfast is complimentary and the Creaky Floor Cafe is open form 8- 4pm offers light fare. The Fireside Restaurant is a cozy place to dine; Casual dining is available on Friday and Saturday nights and Thursday and Sunday offers a special family style dinner.
If you are looking for country charm, this is the place to stay.
