I was not at all impressed with this clinic.. nothing but horror stories here.. 8 week old resuce puppy, I paid them for shots & worming.. a few days later the puppy needs a blood transfusion from a hook worm infestation?..really you forgot to worm the puppy? forgot to even look after I paid you to do so?? ..& now i need to pay you a thousand to save her life...ok\n\nseverel weeks later I carry in my friends dog that had been shot while he wasn't home,.. dog with gunshot wounds, bleeding on there counter ... first question they ask... how much $$ do you have?...really?!?! I had been using them for years, always paid in full.. WTF? I really had to show them I had $$ to look at the dog..\n\n The last straw with me was when they called me threating to have my dog taken from me because I was a few days late getting her vacs. ..the one they forgot to worm... \n Oh I did go right up there tho.... To see this person who was going to take my dog & get all my animals records to switch vets.. they were singing another tune when I got there, but I was done with them,,\n\n this place is in it for the wrong reasons.. go elsewhere.. find a vet that is in it to help animals,

Rarely do you find a combination of people who care and will go to the ends of the possibility to save your pets life. Expertise, experience and compassion help these doctors and staff save pets that may not have a chance and are with little hope. I have personally witnessed miracles of medicine by this fine hospital staff.

I have been going to Hoschton Animal Hospital since around 1993. I have 8 dogs and 1 cat of my own. Each and everyone of them are seen at Dr. Chapman's office. I have purchased medication for all of my animals here. I have never once in all the years of coming to this vet have I EVER been mistreated and neither has any of my animals. There are times when a "Good Deal" AKA "Money" doesn't mean as much as your animals. And as the old saying goes "You Get What You Pay For". I would highly recommend this vet to anyone that I know. I had to put one of my puppies down about 3 weeks ago. Dr Chapman looked him over and gave me the decision of what "I" wanted to do for him. I didn't want to see my Logan suffer anymore, so I made the decision to have him put down. Doctor's give the things that you need to know to make some painful decisions in all of our lives ... What "YOU" decide to do with the information you get is up to you.

I love this animal hospital. My husband is in the military, so we move around quite a lot, but since I found this vet, I have a hard time going any where else. If it is possible, when I plan a family visit to the area, I try to get my dogs in to see Dr. Chapman. They have a wonderful manner and treat my boys like they are one of their own. The last time I boarded one of my dogs, one of the employees said that since he has such separation anxiety, if he got to terrible, she would just take him home with her! If you are looking for an honest vet, this is the place you should go. The staff is unbelievably friendly and my dogs are happy to go see everyone there! Best vets office I have ever encountered...

I have had dogs in my family for over 30 years and I have been to several animal hospitals. Hoschton Animal Hospital is the best in this area. We moved to the area in 2002 and tried several local vets before we found the one with the TLC, professionalism, and skill of the folks at Hoschton. There are several vet offices that are closer and more convenient but we chose this office just like we chose our own Dr.s. We couldn't be happier and Emee (our 7 yr. old Chocolate Lab) loves it there!

We found Hoschton Animal Hospital 4.5 years ago when our Shar Pei had a seizure in the middle of the night. Our current vet at the time did not respond to the night time call, nor did our equine vet. I called a number from the Yellow Pages and 15 minutes later the Hoschton vet on-call called me back. Unfortunately, it was too late but we've been their client ever since and have been delighted with the care we've received for our cats, dogs and goats. The staff is like family to us and they all look for ways to save us money. They have gone out of their way to research information for us to deal with issues with our Shar Peis and Great Pyrenees. We can't imagine going anywhere else!

This is what I call the KILLER Vet. This Man ( Dr Chapman )has no bedside manner at all. He lied about my dog being monitored at night while on an IV, My baby Boy Pekeginese moved around so much, the IV came out. NO telling how long he was withouth the IV!! He had been brought in for kidney failure . We ended up having to put him down because of this HORRID and irresponsible practice. Also at the time, I was unemployed and didn't have enough money for the euthinization, and while my baby layed there suffereing, Dr Chapman argued with my husband and myself about putting him down, because we didn't have the full amount necessary at the time.He actually looked at us and said "Do you know what you are doing to this hospital? " The asssitant was crying along with me and my husband. I literally had to stop my husband from jumping over the table to assault Dr Chapman. He finally put my baby down, and then suggeested that we go out the back door with him in his little carboard coffin!! ( we went out the front door ) This was 4 years ago now, and it still hurts as much as it did then. I can't even drive by this vet's offfice without feeling sick.
PLEASE NEVER USE THIS VETOR THIS FACILITY!!!!

Our pet was treated at Hoschton Animal Hospital for a broken leg--ended up costing us over $2,300.00 over a period of 5 months. The leg rebroke 5 months later (in our opinion it wasn't fixed correctly in the first place) and they gladly said they could do surgery again, but no guarantee it would fix it (estimated cost was another 2k). We got two more opinions and ended up having to amputate the leg. Quite an ordeal.

Another thing, listen to your animals. Our dog loves everybody, but he ALWAYS growled at the vet and even tried to bite him. At that time, we thought it was just because he was in pain, but now we know better!

Staff was friendly, but I know from a former employee that they have meetings every week to see what product they are going to "push" on people for that week. It's all about the money (which they have plenty of for what they charge).

I will never take any of my animals there again and would not recommend them at all!

In June of this year, I had an emergency situation with my 28 year old cockatiel. He had been injured in his cage and was bleeding which could be a life threatening situation. My regular vet at Auburn Animal referred me to Hoschton Animal for my bird?s situation, and upon calling them and explaining my situation to them (I was leaving to go out of town that day for an extended period of time), they agreed to not only see my bird and treat it, but to board it while I was gone. Other than my experiences with the LSU Vet school, I have never seen such professionalism in treating my bird. This staff went out of their way to assure me that my bird would be in good hands, and this was further confirmed when I found out that they had a cockatiel in their office as an office pet. Their treatment of my pet cured his condition, and the charges were quite reasonable. I learned after the fact that this practice enjoys specialized pets such as birds and other sorts and because of that I now recommend them specifically to my friends who own these types of pets. Yes, Hoschton is out of the way, but there are very few vets which take care of birds and such and do so with such love. So, yes, even though they are out of the way, I have to give a thumbs up to Hoschton Animal Hospital, a great place to take your pets.

PROS: Takes care of specialized animals and birds, reasonable prices
CONS: Out of the way (Unfortunately)

We took our pets here an a few occasions and we were never very happy about the "bedside manner" of the doctors. Our dog swallowed rat poison and we had to rush her over there. The doctor gave her a medicine that cost $200 and it did not work. Then he gave her hydrogen peroxide and tells us that it works everytime. We felt that if "it wors every time" that should have been done first rather than charge us for an extremely expensive med.

PROS: The support staff is very, very nice
CONS:

We had an emergency with one of our cats. The vet met us on Friday night at about 3am and again on Sunday morning at about 7:30am. They love your pets too! You can trust these guys.
