That's my only problem with this theater -- I prefer not to be seated by a jacketed usher with a flashlight, like I'm at "The Lion King" or something. And if they are going to seat me, they should probably go all out and give me a Playbill, too. Otherwise -- great. Convenient. Comfortable. Good popcorn. Super "members" deals. Really nice little knick-knack store on the ground floor. And excellent wine-and-cheese receptions several times a month.

What a great time! From the moment i arrived to the time i left i had nothing but an enjoyable time here. The first thing i noticed was nice and easy parking. Then the happy looking staff more then willing to tell a joke or two. But the most amazing part? I didnt know that movies theaters like this were even around. You get to choose were you seat and actually reserve it. And once you get up to the right movie room there is a nice doorman waiting to direct you to your seats. THe seats? oh so comfortable. I cant wait to go back

on a movie. Yes, it cost us $11.00 per person, but for once I had no qualms once I stepped inside this luxurious cinema. What a experience, comfortable seats, Beautiful Decor, Staff very Customer Service polite and smiling. Ahhhhhhhhh to someone who is a fanatic about getting what you pay for I was pleased. The Movie "Full Frontal" in my opinion wasn't worth the $$ but the Theatre sure was LOL Free parking for first 3 hours!!

I watched "XXX" here a few weeks ago and had an awesome time! The sound system is probably the best anywhere! Though pricey ($14), it's well worth it if you watch a film requiring a good sound system. the whole place was squeaky clean, seats were nice and comfortable, ushers were very gracious, and the theatre was never packed. Tip: Watch Sundays - Thurdsdays to get the $3 discount.

Everyone rags on the arclight being too pricey, but lets face it folks movies are pricey..and in this town where EVERYONE goes to see movies it's nice to know you can reserve your seats ahead of time so you aren't arguing with people over why you are saving a seat for your date who had to go to the restroom...they allow you to accumulate arclight points and redeem them for free tickets and food so they give back and understand you are paying alittle more...FOR EXECELLENCE

yes, the tickets are $14/piece, but quit yer whinin'! parking is free for three hours, seats are reserved, armrests are extra wide, all annoying pre-movie commercials have been banned, and when there's a quiet part of the movie, the theater is actually silent.

This theater is what all theaters should be like! They got adequate parking which is validated by watching a film. So your covered there. When you walk in you are truly greeted by friendly staff. With reserve seating you dont have to worry about finding a seat or saving a seat for a member of your party. As you walk towards the screening room or whatever you call it an employee walks you to your seats! Employees are beyond cordial! Everyone from the seat usher to the girls selling popcorn! Stadium seating and superb audio also add to your movie- going experience. The tickets are a little pricey but its expected for the amount of service you get. Arc light truly delivered! I'll come back to this place when a true blockbuster comes out. Ill save the "Like Mike" viewings to the run of the mill theater on the corner!

Go here because: (1) You like strolling in 3 mins before a 1st run, sold-out movie; (2) Unruly patrons annoy you -- the high price makes people focus!; (3) You can't stand those damn LA Times commercials; and (4) you demand service & high quality.

However, avoid this place if: (1) $14 for a movie is inconceivable; (2) you're hungry -- the restaurant is over-priced & under-valued; (3) you hate the Hollywood traffic; and (4) you want other experiences (ie. shopping) because there's hardly anything else in this theater complex.

I actually love this theater, but it does have its limitations. In fact, sometimes movies don't open there if the Chinese Theater is showing it first (ie. Attack of the Clones). But, everyone should see at least one movie here!

Pros: Assigned Seats, Top Notch Experience, Classier Patrons

Cons: $14 for a movie?, Minimal Shopping, hollywood surrounding

What other cinema in America has assigned seating? Arclight is pricey ($14 regular, $11 matinee) and doesn't sell pretzels, but the projection quality was superb, the seats spacious and comfortable (and assigned!), and the movie was introduced by the dedicated user-for-your-film-today. This is the Alaska Airlines of LA cinemas, making the rest feel like Southwest. Which isn't a knock on Southwest! Make a choice: do you want the cheaper cattle-call, or do you want to be asked 'would you like front, middle, or back? Center middle OK? Here are your seats.' Oh, and, two minor celebrity sightings (including Michael McDonald of MadTV) at a Saturday matinee. Yes, I'll be back.

Who Planned this!? The traffic flow is awful . Wouldn't the planners have considered the fact that movie-goers might enter and exit at the same time? The parking structure seems to have only single lane exits. Inside the theatre lobby is a tangle of lines for tickets or customer service, cafe or entrance to the theatres. The customer service line actually cuts accross the entrance and exit. For such a "nice " place it leaves alot to be desired.Solve the traffic flow and I'll keep paying the high prices. I have to say the customer service was good. Our movie was cancelled and the company refunded our $ and gave us free tickets to any other show without having to ask for it . For this reason I have not crossed this place off the list.

im not sure what makes this theatre think they can charge 14 dollars for a movie. it's odd. taking me to my seat isn't worth another 5 dollars per ticket. and that is very annoying anyway. it causes lines for form... and then when people come in late...they are being led to their seats by a kid w/ a flash light...so you have an extra person distracting you. and assigned seating makes it worse. a person who comes while the show has started is then climbing over you to their assigned seat. the sound and screens are good. nothing over Mann's. the theatre is attractive. concessions are pricey and smaller than most.

I don't understand either... I went on accident. I didnt realize the matinee was $11. Who would have believed that? This is a touristic, overpriced, crappy theater. Going into it is like going into one of the useless crap boutiques on Hollywood Blvd. There are headshots of stars hung inexplicably around the interior. Nothing's worth $11 here. You can only make a screen so large before it becomes more cumbersome than beneficial. The edges of the screen are out of focus because of the curved screen. The seats are uncomfortable for tall people. The screening of Amedeus I attended was stopped halfway through (before Mozart even got sick) because of projection problems. It never started up again because the guy who knew how to fix it wasnt around. Boycott this theater, please. I can't afford 11 dollar matinees. We have to stop them here before the trend catches on.

Cons: $11-$14!?!? Pricey, Uncomfrotable, Headshots.

Lines were huge, and the price is about double of any other theater. You do get assigned seating, and the nicest employees, but is it worth the price? I guess so. I'd go again.

$14 for an evening show, $11 for a matinee. I don't get it. Sure, the stadium seating is great, and the theaters are clean and new, and the 3-hour free parking is good too, but you can get stadium seating in other places for regular movie prices. Unless you're there to see a film on opening night and can get good reserved seats, I don't see the point in coming here.

Arclight has catered to the entire friday night going out experience of 'Dinner & a Movie'. It really is a study in good user experience. I was completly amazed. The ticket price might be a little much but the atmosphere is extremely comfortable. I was amazed at how few seats there actually were for the amount of space there actually was in the theater. They gave up probably about 10 rows so they could alow for each chair to have plenty of leg room, plus space around and none of the crappy right under the screen seats.

The renovated Cinerama dome is great, but $14 for a movie??? $11 matinee??? That's just silly. I did see Spider-Man there and, admittedly, the Dome looks and sounds great. However, the price, the confusion in the box office and the assigned seating(?!?) are turn-offs. Save the Dome for special events like revivals and film festivals, if they have those.

I've heard so many people complaining about the ticket price at this theater. I really think that it is completely worth every penny. $11? You'd pay more than that at the mega-mall-plexes when you factor in parking. I will gladly return and pay for the easy parking, clean theaters, assigned seating, polite crowd, lovely patio and beer and wine. And when you throw the popcorn with REAL butter into the mix--the ticket price is actually cheap.

This theatre is quite possibly the best movie theatre I 've been in. From the mod decor to the mag/gift shop to the bathrooms... nice...yes EVEN THE MENS ROOM was clean! The whole memebrshipo thing was a little odd to me. but the seats were quite comforatable, no leaning back and hugging pop-corn buckets to allow bathroom goers
passgae. I will definitely return.

I've been to the Cinerama Dome several times since it reopened and it's been nothing but a pleasure to see movies there. The cinemas are great with large comfortable seats, fantastic sound and a diverse movie selection. The staff is so unbelievably friendly its almost scary. Im literally escorted every step of the way (to the concession stand, to my seat). I can enjoy a beer before the film in the bar area or sit down for a nice dinner. They even rushed my order so that I could make my film time. The reserved seating system rocks. Check it.
