I am currently taking classes at the Windy Hill Studio - and I love it! I felt a difference after the first class. You get a work out without even realizing it!! My body can now move in ways I never thought it could, and that is coming

Lets talk about the store. Wow, what can I say? Unfortunately, I love to shop, so everytime I go to one of the locations, I always find something that I want. There are so many coin sashes in so many different colors to match anything you can possibly think of. There are a lot of caftans to choose from in lots of different colors and they have the ones that open from the front or pull over head. If you are the type of person who loves to match and coordinate your colors with your outfits, you will definately own several of these. Sometimes you may not be able to put an outfit together just by looking at the clothes on the shelf but there are always several maniquins with different outfits on to give you an idea of how something should be worn or how to coordinate the colors and this is always helpful. If you are looking for something particular in which you can't find at one location, you may be able to find it at one of the other three studios. If you are looking for props, (swords, candle holders, zills, canes, veils) you will find them at all three studios. I just purchased a Sultan Sword and am very excited because the sword class starts on Tuesday at Little 5 Points. If you are not educated on the different types of swords, you can log on to www.atlantabellydance and go to the store/shop section and click on the swords. One of the instructors/professional dancers is on the site talking about each sword which was very helpful for me. Looking at the shop online is very helpful but it is not the same as visiting the shop in person because you will find lots of bellydance clothes in the shop that are not online.

Pros: largest belly dancing studio in Atlanta

.

I have been taking classes for a while (mainly at the Perimeter location.) It's right off 285 and the studio is HUGE! It has an entire wall that is mirrored so you can see yourself dancing no matter where you are on the floor. It also has a shop right in the studio! You can buy beautiful hip scarfs, pants, dance shoes, shirts... anything for bellydancing!

Nazeem Allayl studio has helped me fall in love with belly dance! I take as many classes as I possibly can each week. They offer walk-in workout classes and six week technique and choreography classes. The workout classes are great because you don??t have to plan in advance. Just show up and you get a great (and super fun) workout! The technique class was fantastic ?? they really take the time to break down those fancy belly dance moves so even a complete beginner like me could do them! The choreographies allowed me to put all of those moves together into a real dance! They offer lots of dances, from pretty to cute to sassy ?? and I love the songs!

Nazeem Allayl is a fantastic bellydance studio. They offer only bellydance classes, which is a huge advantage for someone who is serious about learning the art. The workout classes are amazing! They are fun, effective, and you feel great about yourself while doing the moves. It is a very comfortable atmosphere and the instructors are very animated and energetic. And girl, do I mean it when I say the classes work! Most of the moves they teach are basic, but in no way effortless. If you fully commit to perfecting the moves, you will notice a difference in muscle tone and body weight. You can also take choreography programs and apply the different moves you learned in the workout classes. And let's not forget about the shopping! Most of the merchandise is located at the Perimeter Studio, and there is an abundance of things to choose from. Anything you will ever need for bellydance is all here.

As for many of us, one of my New Year??s resolutions was to lose weight, but I HATE going to the gym, so I did some research online and found that you can burn up to 300 calories an hour through belly dancing. I tested out a pay-as-you-go class at the Nazeem Allayl Perimeter studio and fell in love! I??ve been going three times a week and have lost almost 15 lbs, and at $10 per class to work out, it is so much cheaper than a gym!

I've taken dance classes here and there at different places, but it wasn't until I took a class at Atlanta Belly Dance's Windy Hill Studio that I really developed a passion for dance. The studio offers six week choreography courses that are both challenging and comprehensive. I never felt left behind and NEVER experienced the snobbery I've sometimes found at other dance studios. The teachers and students here are all very encouraging and are some of the most amazing women I know. If anyone's contemplating taking a class, it's definitely worth a shot. You won't regret it!

I love "working out" here! I have attended all three studios and love them all! There are many varieties of classes that any female can attend. The Little 5 points studio has a great atmosphere and I feel like I can shake my groove thang there. I love the Perimeter studio because it has a LOT of space and of course a lot of clothes to buy!!! YAY clothes! I love the Windy Hill/Smyrna location because it is very bright and cheerful! The teachers at these studios are amazing. They really empower women to be comfortable with themselves physically and emotionally. I have truly come out of my shell here! And not only being empowered....I have lost weight too!!! Thank you!!!!??

They have three locations, so no matter where you live around Atlanta, one is always a short drive away. Classes are on almost every day of the week, where you can come during lunch, late afternoon on weekends, or evening classes ranging from 6pm to 8 pm start times, and begin frequently. There are three basic types of classes: choreography, where you learn a dance in six sessions; technique, where you learn a lot of the fundamental technique of bellydancing and each class you put some small combination to music, and walk in and workout, where you can work up a sweat while looking cute and jingling the coin sash, which really doesn??t feel like working out but you are drenched in sweat by the time it??s over. 2.This studio is great not only for dancing, but also for shopping! I have blown quite a few paychecks here because of all the gorgeous stuff available! They have all kinds of cute coin sashes, belly dancing wear, caftans, sword, candles and any other props that professional belly dancers use, at very reasonable prices. In order to begin, just come to a class (check the website), get any kind of hip scarf with coins in it, and you are on your way to learning new moves and burning calories. Dancing here is a huge confidence booster, and the hour flies by so quickly that every time, you wish that you could stay longer (and you can ?? some classes are back to back!) With only $50 for a six week class if you register three days before the deadline, this is the cheapest place with the highest quality around. The teachers do not waste time and try to do the least amount possible??they will have you working hard within the first two minutes after stretching.

Pros: learn to dance like a pro and burn fat

Cons: some classes you want to take may overlap

I'm kind of shy, so I was really hesitant about taking belly dance classes. But after a couple minutes at this studio, I changed my mind. They make it really easy for you learn and feel comfortable about trying all the new moves (and tying up your shirt so you can see your belly in the mirror).

I started taking classes at Nazeem Allayl in 2009 and since then I've been hooked. I've tried taking classes at other studios, but theirs is the best. The teachers are funny and they break the moves down in a way that's easy to understand. Belly dance isn't always easy, but even when I'm having a rough time the teachers make me feel good about myself.

After researching belly dancing in Atlanta for a couple of years, my schedule finally opened up enough for me to try this studio. I really liked that the Windy Hill location was so close to me but I could also take classes at other locations if I wanted to. I started with a beginner choreography class so I'd have something to show for my 6 weeks and loved it!! The instructor was perky, fun, and helpful if anyone was having problems with a move. There is also a plethora of beautiful items to buy which is the only reason I listed the fact that they don't take credit cards as a "con"...then again it keeps me from buying up everything I see and being able to stick to my budget. ;)
