They will run your credit with out you permission! Evidently they get kickbacks if you finance with them (using Subaru/Chase). I had my finance arranged prior to my visit because I did not want to deal with the big banks (check out the small print with Chase, they pretty much state that they will sell your info by default unless YOU opt out).

What a shock when I reviewed my credit report!

I stopped in the dealership looking to drive off with a new Outback. I emailed the dealership to schedule a test drive. The gentleman who responded was Phillip L. He said he would have everything set for the test drive.

Upon my arrival, I asked the receptionist if she could point to where I would find Phillip. Evidently, the request was quite burdensome, as she looked quite bothered when she picked up the phone and paged Phillip to the front. She did not say a word to me, or even looked up after the page. That didn't matter because Phillip showed up immediately after the page.

We went for the test drive. I am quite impressed with his product knowledge. He took a lot of time showing me every little option this car had. Absolutely no pressure at all. After they inspected my trade in and gave me a number, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Due to Maple Hill not accepting draft checks, I had to arrange for my bank to Fed Ex the check, which is not a big deal, I just couldn't take delivery of the vehicle that night.

Unfortunately, after the service department looked at my trade in, they left three grease prints on a beige interior! One was on the headliner, which clearly shows a partial hand print, one on the seat where the power seat controls are, and one on the armrest, which got on my shirt. I decided it was probably best to hold off on the purchase until I can get more information on the service department. After hearing a few opinions from friends and co-workers that have actually dealt with the service department, I decided not to pursue the purchase.

However, I give 5 stars to Phillip L. He was very professional, friendly, very knowledgable, and above all, very comfortable to deal with!
