Went to Palio's last Saturday when they had the comedy show upstairs called, 'How Men Thing or Do They?'
It's a neat looking place. When you first walk in you over look the bar area which is a good size and all lit up in blue lights, looks cool. We sat in the back of the restaurant in a corner booth with a table for 2, which was a nice set up. The place is huge, but not very noisy which was great.

Ate dinner first. Started with a bottle of pinot noir and it was very good and smooth. Had the mozzarella sticks (more like triangles) for an app. The cheese in them was delicious, but I've had better marinara sauce, it was too creamy. I had the filet mignon, which was out of this world! The meat was very good and perfectly cooked to order at medium rare just how I like it. The green beans and potatoes were also good. My friend got the seafood diablo, which was a very, very generous portion. The sauce on this was very good, it shut me up about their marinara and they cook to whatever spiciness you would like. Her only complaint was that there were too many mussels and she wished there was more of the other seafood in there. Our server was very attentive, pouring more wine for us whenever our glasses got a little low, but not interrupting us, which was a good balance.

After dinner we went upstairs to the comedy show and there was another bar opened up there for the show only. We each got a martini and it was poured with a heavy hand. :) The show was in a big function-type room upstairs. It seems like a great place to have a function or party. The show started a little late at about 9. It was very funny! The host of the show was the funniest out of all of them, but each one made me laugh. The show lasted about 2 hours. Went home very happy and satisfied with the food, drinks and laughs I had!

Seriously can you please add an option to give NO STARS??? This has to be by far the WORST food I have ever eaten! What a disgrace to call yourself an Italian "grille" . Never in my life have I ever seen 6 people walk into a restaurant, take one bite of their entrees and look at each other in disgust! The service wasn't the best either. The waitress was nice and attentive at first but later was lost in the crowd, or shall I say, lack there of! There is no excuse for empty glasses when the restaurants had barely any tables filled. Appetizers were good and left us wondering what our dinner's would be like. One word.. HORRID. The sauce tasted like a bad jar of ragu with cilantro mixed in. The chicken parm was the thinnest piece of chicken that is crumbled over the pasta. The meatballs tasted some what like they were frozen yet some how they came out half raw to our table. Portions were a great size if the was actually eatable. The manager had a very confused look on his face once he realized all 6 of us were not pleased! I could literally go on for hours but the truth of the matter is, by now, you should get the point! This place is NOT worth your time, money or appetite. Go somewhere else to get Italian, this place was a JOKE! Thank you Palio's for a night we will NEVER forget....

This is a great steakhouse in Lexington. The portions are ok. The atmosphere is great, a beautiful setting. The prices are reasonable for the area. Reservations are recommended. Good for drinks too!

We have had wonderful dinners there. The food is always very good but it is very pricey. Everything is priced separately. It is such a nice restaurant. You walk in the main doors and there is a bar area sectioned off and you walk to the right of it to the main dining room. The wait staff are very knowledgeable about how the food is prepared.

Recently went to the hartwell house for dinner with 7 family friends. the place is really nice but the food was great. We have 4 courses and each was better than the one before. Service was good (not great) probably due to the fact that the place was packed full of people. i will definately be returning becasue this is what fine dining is all about.
