I've recently jumped on the Rush Street wagon! Living in Santa Monica, it's hard to motivate me off or Main Street, but once I stepped into Rush I felt like I had found a something a little different.

Pros: Friendly & Good looking Staff & Customers
Arguably the best bar in Culver City. This is a good place if you want a happening bar where you can mingle with other well off people without feeling like you are at a frat party. The beer and wine selections are great and the outdoor

Pros: The food here is very well done
Cons: Can be pricey but you are paying for the atmosphere
Cool upstairs area where you can get your groove on...
3I came here for my best friends dinner last December when they had their holiday pre-fix menu. We all had their steak w/ frittes, seafood chowder, and apple pie. All delicious. I had to unbuckle my belt as soon as I got into the car

Always have a good experience when I come here. The food is good and the ambiance fun.
It has a good back patio that you wouldn't guess it was there. Gotta go up the stairs all the way to the back! Definitely good for a date or just to hang out by the bar and watch some games.

Pros: Friendly servers, delicious mac n' cheese
Cons: Attitudes of bartenders
Rush street is supposed to be a happening new spot, but its got some serious flaws.
First of all, its not a bar or club. Its a restaurant. They're upstairs "club" atmosphere is ridiculous. They won't let you upstairs unless you're on

Pros: Valet Parketing
Cons: Rude staff, not enough bars
I agree with everyone who has complained about the service. Been there 3 times -- restaurant, patio, and lounge upstairs -- and the service has been horrible or mediocre at best. Rude staff and even worse hostess. Despite ordering

Great place for a birthday; decorated really nice, drinks are good, they are accommodating (at least for my party). Food isn't so great if you're planning a dinner there. It's overpriced and small portions. The best there is probably

Maybe it just isn't for the "older" generation, but I see them packed with 20 to 30ish people all looking like they are enjoying the food or at least the company. Maybe they have had a few drinks, first. We found the Angus Burgers dry and flavorless, the service (we had) mediocre, and the rest overpriced for what it was.

I don't eat meat so I'm not the best person to review Rush St. for the food but I will say that it has the most "cluby" atomosphere in Culver City. If you're in the mood to pretend that you're in NY or Chicago, this is the place to be.
4Trendy and happening, this relatively new restaurant is a great addition to the revitalized Culver City downtown. The drinks are great, and the appetizers better. The environment is akin to a college club, happening and exciting. We went recently for a YMCA fundraiser (Rush donated everything) and the appetizers were just great.

Perhaps we have to go back, but our first impression was not great. We ordered hamburgers which sounded like they had great ingredients, but were dry and tasteless when they arrived. The bratwurst special was one lonely small bratwurst on a sad bun for a whopping $9. The place is packed, especially on weekends, but when we went the service was indifferent. People seem to be enjoying themselves, so we might try it again.

I agree with others who say that the staff are certainly not service-oriented. Bartenders act as if they are too good to acknowledge and serve you. Servers can be all right, though it's h it and miss. We enjoyed our blonde, tatted girl

Cons: Customer service from management
My friend and I went here for drinks and ordered pizza only to be informed that the bartender had not gotten our order in before the kitchen closed. The manager apologized and comped our next round of beers, which was very thoughtful.

Was very excited to check out the Restaurant with a friend, but, the minute we sat down at the bar, we were greeted with a scowl from the Bartender. We tried to cheer him up by making a little joke to lighten up the situation, but was

It's a shame. This could be a really great place. But the best atmosphere and food can't make up for horrible service. (not that it has the best food or atmosphere either)\r

I'm not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about, but I have never had a problem with Rush Street and I've only gone on Friday and Saturday nights! If the service was a little slow, it's because the place was so packed it was

...And I LOVED the food here, most notably the beef sliders & my entree, the steak frittes. I'm a stickler for price; it can always be less expensive and I can always have more on my plate, but the food here was definitely worth the price

I've given this place two chances, and it has failed. The drinks taste watered down. If I order a Guiness, it should take more than 5 seconds to pour from the tap. The staff need to be more attentive and please, this is Culver City, NOT

Be careful of this place! Tips get changed around! 3s, 6s and 5s get turned into 8s.... 1s become 7s... Check and keep your receipts, you never know when some bartender is upping their tips.
