I had a stuffed up sewer pipe that was backing up in my basement. They were able to come right away, and they were on time. $500 later they snaked out my drain and told me everything was fine. Two days later, I was backed up again. Same technician came and blamed me for the back up, not their faulty work. This time they charged me $350. They could not tell me why I had a problem, but were more then happy to charge me. I then called a plumber who had a camera and they looked into my pipe. Not only were they able to diagnose my problem, but they found waste left in the pipe that Dependable failed to remove on both visits.
I contacted Dependable twice to try to get some of my money back, but my calls and letters were ignored.If you literally want to throw money down the drain, then this is the company for you.

I contacted them because my hot water heater was not lighting the pilot. The technician was very friendly and he was on time. He took a look at the unit for about a minute and told us we needed to replace the electronic system. He said it was cheaper to replace the whole unit. This is a 3 year old unit and I couldn't believe I was looking at at $1,500+ job. They even offered a 15% discount if I gave them the job. They were a little pushy, but I wanted a second opinion. I ended up calling the manufacturer and because the unit had a 6-year warranty, and they actually diagnosed the problem over email as the sensor being dirty. My husband cleaned the sensor and 5 minutes later we had hot water again!!!
I would not call this company again. It's a shame they charged $100 to tell me I needed to get a new unit when it was a quick fix. I'm torn thinking that either the technician was not knowledgable enough or that they are only looking to rip you off.
