I've read some of the reviews on Casey's Plumbing and clearly, the few who gave bad reviews haven't used many plumbers! I have an older home so everything seemed to be falling apart a couple of years ago. I tried another plumber to do the sewer because at the time Casey's didn't do sewer work (they do now). It was a a nightmare and had to be done over, and wasted a lot of money. Casey's came out and fixed it, no problem.
I have used Casey's for a whole house re-pipe from street to house, and sewer as well. They also installed new faucets in and out and a water heater. The plumbers were great, explaining everything, answering all my questions, and even throwing in a new shower head and one new outside faucet. The important thing is they are reliable and honest. I have had them out several other times and have always had good service and no bad surprises.

They are kind of expensive, but well worth it. (and yes, I have had experiences with other companies that were HORRIBLE)

When I thought something was wrong with part of the sewer they put in, I called and not just a technician, but Bill Casey the owner came out right away. It turned out there wasn't anything wrong, it was some rotten vegetation in the mud. They didn't make me feel stupid about calling them, either.

I recently had a hole in the tube that goes to the dishwasher which flooded my kitchen. They came out but didn't have the part (it was an older model) and since they couldn't fix it they didn't even charge. I am a diamond club member and it has come in handy! They don't charge extra for weird hours or weekends and they do come right away. If you do want it done right the first time, therefore actually saving money, call Casey's.

I have used Casey's Plumbing on 2 occations. Both times they provided fast freindly serice unclogging my drains. An added bonus? They charge the same rates on weekends as they do on weekdays. The other companies I called changed a lot more for weekend service. I will always call them first for my plumbing needs from now on.

My toilet developed a leak last night so I began the process of calling around for bids. Most plumbers told me upfront what it would cost in terms of hourly rates and parts to replace my outdated and now broken toilet.

Casey's works a little differently.

I explained what the problem was and that I simply wanted a new toilet installed. After listening to a long-winded sales pitch about how their 'professionals' do not use drugs and are committed to quality work, I was told an evaluation would cost me $157 up front before any work was even done. I asked for a simple ballpark estimate as to what it would cost to replace a toilet - simple. Right?

I was told they do not work that way. I had to pay $157 for somebody to come to my house and THEN tell me what the job would cost. To be fair, if I went with their extorted bid, they would apply $99 of the $157 to the cost.

I told the person on the line that this (not her) was crazy. She promptly hung up on me.

I would not ever recommend them or their scam.

1 star given - only because 0 is not an option.

190$ just to come to the house and enter the crawl space.

I called them out for a hole in a drain pipe. I crawled under the house with the plumber as he assessed the situation. He proceeded to convince me that I needed to replace every bit of drain pipe under my house and that I needed to also replace all of the pressurized lines as well. The only evidence he gave for replacing the pressurized lines was that one of the lines was secured by a bit of rusty wire. There was certainly a lot of evidence that many of the drain segments needed replacing, but it hardly looked to me like they all needed replacing.

I called in a second opinion. The second plumber pointed out each section of pipe that he thought should be replaced. Interestingly he pointed out all of the problem areas that I had already flagged myself, as looking like they needed replacing, along with a couple of others. His estimate for all of the work was 1/6th of Casey's. Oh, and he did not charge me to come out to the house, or go into the crawl space.

When the plumber from Casey's learned that I cancelled the job, he proceeded to call me up and badger me. When I told him that I got a second opinion and their bid came in considerably lower, he told me to never call Casey's plumbing again. I said, "Excuse me?", and he repeated, "Don't call us again". I replied, "Ok".

I needed a plumber to do some minor work which I later learned from a contractor would have cost $200.00 at the very most. My job cost nearly $700.00! I should have listened to the Casey's "technician" that said I could do it myself with parts that would cost $20,00; I was selling my home and doubted my ability at plumbing. I called Mr, Casey re: the overcharge and was treated extremely rude and he hung up on me as well. As a business owner myself I would never treat a client as such. Please call anyone other than Casey's. The BBB agent that I later spoke with was less than helpful which is why we all need to spread the word! I am having a hard time giving a star for this kind of exoerience. It went beyond unsatisfactory.

To all of you home owners out there , I worked for another plumbing co. out of clackamas , 24 hr. service lots of trucks and Plumbers , and trust me Casey's is cheap, they do all the same thing s that Casey's do , they are all rip offs except for 1 company that I will not reveil, all the companies want to get in your house and then once they do, they will sell you something you don't need

My minimum charge was $350.00 , there was no show up fee but the charges to replace something in your home was outrageous.

I don't know how Casey's Plumbers are, I have cleaned up some of there work , but cost wise they are about middle of the pack

It cost us $157.50 (dispatch and assessment fees) to find out we most definitely don't want to do business with this outfit.

We felt sorry for the poor technician (Casey's term for a plumber) who came to assess our issue. The technician had clearly been taught how to "sell" us their services...starting with "How much would we think it would cost?" and proceeding to give us an estimate for completely replacing our plumbing system including our two "water wasting toilets." BTW, we already HAVE low flow toilets.

Don't fall for their tactics. Save yourself the $157.50 we spent and call another plumber. That's what we're doing after talking to Casey's.

I have had a few things done by Casey's and another company. Perhaps the other company had a bad employee, but he made a huge mess in setting up and working which he never cleaned. His work was so-so. Casey [in two separate incidents - a year apart] installed a new water heater and replaced the drain system to a badly leaking washroom sink. Both workers were polite and professional. Both created a cost sheet with choices on various possibilities of what was to be done. Both were willing to talk about 'plumbing things' while working and though mentioning possibilities, they did not try and 'sell' me on anything. Both made certain to clean up afterward [cleaner than when they arrived.]

I read the other comments before writing this - so I will say that I thought the 'truck coming to the house' charge was only $60, not $100+ as mentioned elsewhere. I have never asked for an estimate over the phone - I always figured someone would have to look at the problem [else 'the cost will be between $50 and $250' - - which does no one any good.] My only reason for not giving them a 5 is that they are at the higher end of costs. I could save money by experimenting around until I found a GOOD plumber who charges less, but so far - for me - Casey has met my needs.

Pros: Did described work, cleaned up afterwards, warranty

Cons: Probably at the higher end, cost-wise

I had an old reliable plumber in LO for many years. Had not needed to use him in some time but eventually did - called the number and thought I was getting my same plumber. Well, he had died and Mr. Casey had bought his phone number (not business) and one of his crew showed up to do the work - fortunatley the plumber told be the trick they used and I trusted him.... big mistake. Suddenly every toilet and plumbing appliance in my house had a Casey's sticker on it to call if you had trouble - well guess what - I started having lots of troubles with most of the things they "Inspected" for me. Guys like this need to be out of business - pass it on - when you see one of their vans in the neighborhood let your neighbors know your experience. Mr. Casey is obviously posting frequently to give 5 star ratings. Isn't it a coincidence that all the comments are either a 1 or 5? Think about it.

Pros: None

Just beware of Casey,s Plumbing!!
He has great plumbers working for him, but Mr. Casey is slippery! I'm trying to nice..
He fired me because I had a problem charging 200.00 dollars an hour , which he requires his plumbers to charge!! Your "FREE" home inspection that can take 10 minutes to 30 minutes... we need to work that time spent into our bid to make sure were getting as close to 200.00 an hour as possible!! He called me up many times telling me I need to figure how long the job is going to take and then double it!!! He told me that I was to sensitive, hmmm, Yes, I have morals and a conscience... Why can't there just be a good plumbing company out there that will charge fair prices for a good job... I will say that Caseys will give you a good job, if you don't mine paying 200.00an hour plus!

I wish I could vote ZERO stars for this horrible company.

We were never informed of the $175 charge just to come to the house . The plumber talked forever, even before doing any work. He tried to get us to join some "gold star" club, and also told us of the plans he wants to complete on his house. He borrowed our tools to look in the crawl space, and attic.

He told us our garbage disposal needed to be replaced, and then took a price book out and showed us various disposals. He said we would probably need the 3/4 horsepower disposals, and quoted us a price to install of $750!

We needed our fridge hooked up in the back for water and the ice maker. Again, he took out the price list and quoted us $550!

We told him no way. He ended up charging us $175 for the drive to the house, and a $99 "assessment" fee! I called the office to complain, and talked to one of the owners, Mr. Bill Casey... he was very rude and even hung up on me!

My fiance was crying because of this horrible experience, which makes me very upset.

I reported them on the BBB website, and the reply was that "And so yes; I hung up on this rude SOB".

The BBB has 10 other complaints regarding this plumbing company, so BEWARE!

I had a pipe burst 12-2008 and frozen pipes. To replace 3 foot section of pipe and thaw 2 other short pipes it was $800 for 3 hours labor and parts for a plumber and his apprentice. I had no idea that rocket scientist rates applied for plumbing. After a year I realized that they never finished the job and then after making at least 5 phone calls it is still not fixed. Too big a company to get their stuff together. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

For one hour's work to replace a faucet, they charged $320! When we called up to complain, the owner at first claimed the faucet was included in the price, and when he realized it wasn't (we had bought it separately), told us that was a standard rate regardless of time and "cheap for the service". Our fault for not checking the details, but I'm surprised they've stayed in business with these kind of rates. By the way, they won't quote you a price before coming out, and give you the impression that a basic job would cost $150 including the travel fee. It doesn't. Oh, and they also suggest all kinds of other things that you "need" to do in your house, making it sound like you're going to have huge problems if you don't do these. Definitely would NOT use or recommend.

Casey's had done several projects for us and they have always been very professional. They come when they say they will and the work is first rate. Now they have electricians and drain cleaners as well. I recommend them.

I have been using Casey's Plumbing since May 2006. Most of the jobs have been fairly routine replacement of valves, faucets, etc., but some work has been more extensive. The pricing structure may seem high to some, but it is the same whether it takes an hour or all day. Plus it is guaranteed. I never worry that the job was done improperly. As a Diamond Club member there are also additional benefits. The workers are professional and will explain anything you ask of them.

I have worked with Casey's for a long time. I originally found them on Angie's List and have been completely satisfied.

Casey's replumbed my entire house. They kept me informed all the way through the process and did quality work. Not only do they guarantee their work, they make sure they do it right the first time.

They do quality, professional work. I'm even a Diamond Card carrier becasue I trust them to treat me fairly and honestly.

Just today, my faucet had a leak. They came in, fixed it, and left all for NO charge.

They rock.

We had a small faucet leak. We were charged far too much. $150 just to walk in the door. Being new in the area, we just picked blind.
Big mistake. Yes, the problem was corrected in a few minutes, but we paid much, too much. Then, they left signs everywhere -- in all the bathrooms and on the water heater. Do not use!!

Big mistake. Yes, the problem was corrected in a few minutes, but we paid much, too much. Then, they left signs everywhere -- in all the bathrooms and on the water heater. Do not use!!

Pros: nothing

Cons: way too expensive and leaves signs everywhere

I found Casey's Plumbing on Angie's List and was very impressed with what it said about this company and had them out to replace my water heater. It did cost more than I thought it would but that's probably because it came with fantastic warranties and an air tank for expansion.

I Later I needed my pipes replaced and the owner himself came out to give me the bid. I found the owner and his employees to be surprisingly professional. Their work was great and the way they protected my floors and furniture really impressed me.

So after reading the negative reports here, I asked Mr. Casey if he was aware of them. What he told me is why I'm alerting others to do their home work before hiring a contractor and don?t believe everything you read on the internet. Google City Search reports aren't verified for accuracy and anyone, even jealous competitors, can write any thing they want. Whereas, Angie?s List provides an opportunity for response by the business so the consumer can be insured of a balanced and fair report. And message boards that don?t allow the company to respond in kind are especially suspect. Angie?s List verify complaints and allow the contractor to post a response next to the complaint.

So, bottom line; when using any service company that comes into your home, ask for references, ask if the workers have been back ground checked and most of all, use verifiable sources like Angie's List.

Caseys plumbing came to my house "inspected" all the plumbing upstairs and down. As they went throughout my house the employee put stickers on anything plumbing related. When she was finished she explained to me my leak was not a leak(even though my ceiling was dripping) and charged me over $100 for a site visit. These guys are awful!!! Don't use them unless you want to be frustrated and burn money.

Pros: Aren't any

Cons: I now have to use acetone to get all the stickers off!!

Awful customer service, rude, argumentative and snippy person answering the phone. They won't give you an estimate for a standard procedure without charging $150 to come out first and its non-refundable. Only part of that even applies should you choose to use their services! Come on gas isn't THAT high yet!

DON'T USE - AGREE WITH OTHER 3 REVIEWS SHOWING - DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE REFLECTING 4 STARS - EVIDENTLY THE EMPLOYEES ARE WRITING REVIEWS TOO

OVER PRICED - SLICK SALESMEN IN PARTICULAR THE OWNER - TECHS SEEM FRIENDLY

I HAD AN OLD RELIABLE PLUMBER AND THIS CLOWN BOUGHT THE PHONE NUMBER AND I ACCIDENTLY CALLED THEM AND WORSE USED THEM

WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A $300 AT MOST TURNED INTO OVER $700 - EXTRA CHARGE HERE / EXTRA CHARGE THERE - THE OWNER ALSO TOLD ME HE WOULD CHECK ALL THE VALEVES ETC IN THE HOUSE - HE LEFT HIS STICKER EVERYWHERE - INSIDE THE TOILET TANK AS AN EXAMPLE - ALSO CHANGED THE AERATORS ON SOME SINKS WHICH HAVEN'T BEEN THE SAME SINCE - IN FACT IT SEEMS EVERYTHING HE TOUCHED (EXCEPT THE $700 ITEM) HAS BROKEN SINCE, I THINK THEY WERE MAKING THINGS GO WRONG IN A FEW WEEKS TO GET ANOTHER SERVICE CALL.

Do not use this plumbing company. Research your plumbers first...go on Citysearch, ask your friend, it will pay off. Don't make the same mistake I did in my desperateness, I called the first plumber I found in the book. While the technicians were friendly, they did not indicate any pricing to us during their visit. Like the other reviewer said, they were friendly like used car salesmen, they are friendly because they are trying to convince you that your situation is dire and that you need to buy into what they are selling. In a nutshell our visit entailed having 2 drains snaked, a part of our p-trap drain replaced and a special product they use called Bioclean - poured down all of our drains. The entire time, the technician made it sound as if they could do this really quick, and you need to have this done and that it won't cost much. They also charged us $99 chemical fee because we poured Draino down our pipes to try to clear them - claiming that they had to rinse out the pipes because of this? Anyway, they were at our house for 1-1/2 hrs - and our total bill came to $621.45. I called to dispute the bill and the technician tried to explain and justify everything and would not let me get a word in edgewise. Lesson learned, always do research first, never sign the invoice in "acceptance of work performed" at the end of any service if you have a problem with the breakdown of costs, and don't ever call Casey's Plumbing.

For various reasons my husband and I did not find Casey's Plumbing helpful in obtaining a bid for our plumbing project. Please feel free to make your own decision.
