This was a nice hotel, but nothing to write home about. The room was fairly small, but it was clean and well-kept. The TV was very oddly placed in a cutout in the wall (like a fake fireplace)... very odd. There was a so-so view of the lake. The staff was very professional and helpful, though checking in early seemed to be completely out of the question. It was a bit pricey (upwards of $200/night).
PROS: clean
CONS: small rooms, weird TV placement

Pretty good hotel. Since I'm HHonors Gold I usually stay here and can find a pretty good rate.\n\nThe location is very good: 1/2 block from Michigan Ave and a short walk to the Oak Street Beach. But also pretty quiet compared to some other hotels in this.\n\nEven the highest rooms only have decent lake views since other buildings block you view. But still nice to wake up to a sunrise over the lake.\n\nElevators can be a long wait.\n\nStaff is above average for Chicago hotels.\n\nPlacement of the TV in the rooms is wierd and the reception is fair to poor. But if you're in Chicago you shouldn't be staying in your room too much.
