Life Grocery & Cafe

Convenient location...very vegan/vegetarian friendly!! Everything is delicious in my opinion! Gluten free options!! The cafe is just as great... I always get the buffet when I go and the soups are perfection!!

I was skeptical about the raw living foods thing, but my fitness trainer and naturopath both told me it would help with my training. I went to Life on their recommendation with some hesitation but was pleasantly surprised. I liked a lot of it and there were several things I really loved. In time I think I will change my taste buds and love all the flavors.

Life Grocery is a coop owned business. Inside the doors there is a good variety of organic and other healthy foods appropriate for different diets. When you first walk in, straight ahead is the fresh produce. They have a good variety of produce and other staples as well as teas and supplements. When shopping for a supplement, I asked for help on 2 separate occasions. On both occasions, I received the help I needed to make an educated decision as to which supplement or herb was right for me. The staff in the area around the supplements seems knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer they will try and find it for you. Their website is www.lifegrocery.com

This store offers all the diet and organic foods you're looking. The store is a good size, so each row is large enough to move a cart through. The staff is generally experienced in their section and can help you with your questions. The store also has a cute little caf for a quick healthy snack, but some of the snacks are not the best tasting snacks in the world.

Shopping at Life Grocery is an excellent, healthy shopping experience for me and my family. Their selection of organic produce, natural groceries and vitamins and herbs is the largest in Marietta. The staff is very friendly, helpful and so knowledgeable and I always leave with so much information and answers to my sometimes challenging questions. Their prices are so much lower than Whole Foods. I know that I can buy all the food I need to buy at a lower price. I definitely save money at Life Grocery and natural foods aren't cheap. Life Grocery is a small community owned market (owned by members) that has been in Marietta since the 1970s. I love supporting a local business that has been around in the community for so many years. They are reminiscent of the "old days" of granola and tofu. It's nice to still shop at a small business rather than a huge glitzy chain. The staff is so friendly, caring and helpful. If they can't answer a question, they do their best to find out the answers for me rather than try to make something up or tell me wrong. I appreciate their integrity. Another great reason to shop at Life Grocery. I know I can trust them. I love their huge selection of healthy foods. My children have allergies and Life Grocery has the biggest selection of food they can eat in all of Atlanta. I am so grateful for Life Grocery and I will continue to shop there.
The cafe has the most delicious vegetarian food at a reasonable price for being organic. Everything is freshly prepared and so delicious!!!!!

CONS:

Life Grocery is one of only two co-ops in the state of Georgia and it has a much larger location and variety than the other co-op, Sevananda. The prices are decent but the service isn't too great. The majority of the employees do not know a lot about health foods or supplements and you usually have to get a manager if you'd like any information.
