Thanks to the concept of coding camps now people like me dont have to spend four years to become a programmer. When I was in school, we did not have much awareness about this world and I thought only people who were really talented and extraordinary could do it. By the time I enrolled and was in midway of my course, I realized my life could have turned out to be really different, had I tried to enter the field before. Anyway, everything happens for a reason is what I think. So here is the gist of my experience with SynergisticIT which was mostly good.

Things they excel in:

No matter your age, your background, your past experience or lack of it or your nationality, you can get admission here provided you have some basic knowledge. There are some camps that only work with green card holders or US citizens but you dont have to worry about that here. They teach you a stack that is growing in the industry so that your field remains in demand among recruiters. I never felt overwhelmed here even though we covered a lot of syllabus in the duration of 5 months (successfully because we had repeat sessions). The teachers were always keen on providing support and never shy away from re-teaching a concept. We were given a chance to volunteer for certain projects so as to build confidence and networking skills. The environment was encouraging and overall supportive. As long as you have a hunger to learn, you would find plenty of opportunities to grow there. The last few weeks were completely dedicated to job search and training. They are really involved in you and work toward increasing your skills and confidence. From teaching you to grooming you to making you a successful professional, they make sure you get a worthy experience.

Things they should approach better:

Final project guidance could have been better. I mean we were given a total of 10 weeks to build a complete coding project and our demo night was a chance to select which one would we work on. (This is later used as a showcase of our abilities to prospective employers to increase our chances of getting hired). Planning for the project began around week 3 and until I started working on it, I did not realize that the project I chose would not completely do justice to the skills I acquired there. I had some regrets by the end of it so I think if I somebody guided me otherwise I could have done much better. Also there is no definite time as to when you would find a decent job. Since the job market is tough, there is a lot of competition and every skill set has varied demand in the market, it can all affect your job search but you can expect unconditional support from their team so dont lose hope even if it takes a certain amount of time.

Rest assured that they would not force you to do unpaid or contractual basis work that make you relocate to remote locations with below than average pay. Their process is transparent and they make you establish a direct contact with the client so there is no third party involvement. You can trust them to guide you in the right way as far as your coding journey is concerned!

Overall, my experience with SynergisticIT was fantastic. Their program helped me get a job in the data science field. Thanks to them, I was able to make a dramatic career change and in a pandemic, no less!

Background: When I was looking for good quality camps, I already had a masters degree in a humanities discipline along with the knowledge of a lot of data science tutorials. So I had an idea of what I was doing. I chose this camp because their curriculum looked good (based on the information I gathered through my online research) and since the program was only for 5 months and was being taught online, it suited me well.

Getting in: First, I had a call with one of the representatives with whom I discussed my career options after completing the course. After that, I had an interview with an instructor to determine if I was ready for the intense training. I also needed to pass a formal test to prove my familiarity with the field.

The program: For the duration of the course, we were in touch with our instructor every day through our live online classes. Me and my entire cohort studied every day together and worked on so many problems. They had a very interactive mode of learning, so nobody was bored. Every student got a chance to participate in daily classes through Q and A sessions and teachers never made us feel unwelcomed. Heres what I covered in my Python course:

General python programming with focus on NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
GitHub and principles of version control
Data visualization basics
SQL and general principles of database design
Web scraping, working with JSON files and APIs
Time series analysis
Linear algebra basics
Basics of network analysis and graph theory
Survey of deep learning topics
Working knowledge of Django, Scala, and other such frameworks

Towards the end of the curriculum, the teachers focused more on practical assignments along with preparing each student for interviews. Their curriculum is constantly updating so you dont have to worry about missing any concept. Overall the course prepared me well for my job search, as the projects I built were of high enough quality to prove my skills in job interviews. Every student gets a chance to present their project independently and given suggestions on how to improve it. One other thing I want to mention here is that you get good options for interviews and you are given choice to select which company you want to work with based on your skill set and requirements

Highlights: For me, the best part was the curriculum as I gained enough knowledge to become technically proficient, but their project and job support is amazing too.

Improvements: I would have really enjoyed if the curriculum had more case studies. Also, I faced difficulties in handling the work pressure alone while studying from home sometimes, so it can be handled by allowing students to formally engage in group study post daily classes.

I would definitely recommend SynergisticIT for those who need structure and a little extra help in their studying/learning habits. It is going to get you started, but you've got to be the one to put in the extra work and make sure you get the job you want.

*Full disclosure*: I am a kind of person who tries to find positive in every situation so failures dont scare me much!

SynergisticIT taught me enough to co-found and lead the technical development of my startup. Having played around with some web development algorithms during my college, I developer a keen interest in this field and wanted to pursue it full time. And the ability to launch my own company just made it all better. Initially, I was really scared but I guess with the right kind of support, you sure can take a leap of faith. I never heard about this camp before so you could imagine my doubts. But once I talked to their counselor, I felt relieved as it seemed like the secrets of coding world were being demystified in front of me and suddenly it all made sense. That counseling provided me the confidence to pursue it full time. After a couple of weeks of research, talking to alumni, reading reviews and arranging money, I felt SynergisticIT was the place for me.

This is how our curriculum went:
Beginning: In the beginning, the course helps build a strong foundation with the basics of HTML, CSS and plain JavaScript with libraries like jQuery. With daily assignments, weekly reviews and building confidence with Q and A, the curriculum helps you settle well in the field and prepare you for whats to come. You learn java based web services, spring boot and Hibernate framework at this stage along with an overview of JavaScript and Micro services.

Middle: it gets tougher from here on as none of you are beginners anymore so the curriculum becomes challenging and assignments harder. At this stage, we started getting coding assignments and were ranked based on our progress which is a competitive practice and helps students become more vigilant. The group projects also become more fun because now you have ground knowledge to tackle it better.

End: this part would make you miss the middle part more as it becomes really progressive and fast paced. You are expected to develop some basic coding skills by this stage so nobody is going to spoon feed you instructions anymore. You will have to work on your projects individually and teachers would only help you when you are stuck. We were taught critical problem solving skills at this time instead of just focusing on the syntax or coding part. It is the most important aspect a coder could learn and as far as my knowledge goes, not many camps teach it. This part is all about handling multiple projects and coding session assessments.

Then there is the final project. Once we completed the curriculum, we were all given individual projects to prepare our portfolio. At that time, I collaborated with a couple of friends that made the process more fun despite of being challenging. And by the end of it, I myself was shocked by my progress.

Final words: At the end, I would say you are the one who need to drive the car; they would just teach you how to do it efficiently. Also coding is a field that you can only master by practicing; the more you put in the hard work the better would be the outcomes. There is no magic wand, there is no shortcut and there is no such thing as a free coding camp. There is a payment involved and sometimes you pay with money and sometimes you pay with your precious time the choice is yours! So make an informed decision and dont rush in because you saw some advert that said you could have a lavish career in two months.

In your 20-24 weeks of your coding course at SynergisticIT, you will be thrown in a lot of computer science concepts, given job search prep work and some projects to test your programming knowledge. From what I have experienced, these projects are challenging but fun that will help you figure out new concepts and how to apply them to real world. A good programmer isnt someone who can code well; he is someone who can figure out a solution quickly and creatively. And thats what these projects would do for you! Even though the journey has been tough but totally worth it! At the end, you graduate with 3-4 working projects and a lot of knowledge along with job worthy skills. Just be mentally prepared and serious, I cant emphasize on this enough, dont join a coding camp for fun coz it is intense and you need a lot of hard work to understand the hard programming concepts and then practice a lot too.

Pros: projects are useful, good client network, up to date curriculum, teaching strategy involves repeat concepts until students learn them by heart, plenty help for job search, weekly assignments to help you test your skills, Q and A sessions after learning new concepts to clear doubts, and last but not the least, you become eligible for a high paying job. They are really invested in you to succeed.

Cons: You stop getting assistance towards the end of the course for your personal projects. You are on your own, you will have your fellow coders support but thats all. They say that it is to make sure you become independent enough to apply your experience outside the camp. Some concepts are hard to understand on your own while some are self explanatory so it becomes a little hard to manage sometimes with continuous classes and plenty of assignments.

Inside tips for success: set a schedule for you simultaneously so you dont have to overwork yourself. Once you make a time table during your coding journey, you will realize how smooth your routine becomes. Start from the basics before jumping to high end concepts, like Java and Python are the most common languages so begin with their training. Think long term and dont try to focus on short term goals if you really wanna be successful. Be prepared to learn new concepts every day as the course demands focus because of being intensive. Sometimes you would feel that you are cramped with so much information and sometimes you think you are learning under the hood, so it all changes in an instant sometimes. But with the right people and at a right place, you never feel alone or without help, thats the beauty of a place like SynergisticIT.

took me a long time to write a review. To keep it short and simple. After 3 years and 4 months with Synergisticit I can now state that it was a good choice if not the perfect.
# years back when I joined them I had recently graduated from computer science from Louisiana state university. After speaking to at least 90-100 consulting firms interviewing with startups for full time for almost 2 months I came to synergisticit as I had heard they had good training and placement.

Training was very exhaustive , they had tests which were meant to evaluate you, the assignments were coding based not theoretical and the whole training was targeted to ensure we could work hands on at the client .

After 2 months or so I finished my training and after that I had interviews with clients through their network. This is a consulting company so the had their partners and then direct clients. I don't complain though as eventually I was placed in a big client and worked there for almost 2 years and 3 months. When I joined the project I was scared because of the resume and expectation of client then I found that I was more skilled than other people joining with me and some of them had gone through other consulting companies who just played with their resume but they had no practical coding experience. I was also helped by synergisticit in handling the project and when I had issues at the client site.

I believe if I look for another job now I can get more paying job still due to h1b issues while doing transfer I want to stay with them till I get my green card as they are transparent with me about the rates and I am on percentage with them. Good thing is their attorney is very reliable and well know and I heard people had rfe's and denials but they were able to solve them.

their training contract is very comprehensive so only sign if you prefer to join their client otherwise they would have collection firms hounding you for breaking it

they are experts in java recently also doing.net which should be good as I know they focus on quality.

All in all a good overall firm for placement

Synergisticit is a very good place for java. The traininig is really good, the only thing is you have to spend like 8 hours in total for java in a day. They have good client base all over the country. The marketing team does a great job. They get you as many interviews as possible to get you on a project. I was with them for 3 months and now I am working in LA for the past 6 months on a java project and my project is for 2 years.

Their guest house is very good.
The training is free and for students they provide a monthly stipend and they have good pantry.

If you want to do java join them. I am still in the training process and i really got to learn so many things. I have my friend join different firms but they are not happy or they dont get thing kind of training . The trainers also want to make sure you have good knowledge in the subject, so they question you every now and then.I would say that they are the best in Java. I have also seen people getting placed with my own eyes. I cant wait to get into the market.

I am currently with synergisticit . I enrolled myself for the java program. I am still in the training. The training is super good. We started with sessions in core java and after that we moved to advanced topics. The best thing is we get to interact with the marketing students who are taking client interviews and it helps us a lot while preparing for the interviews.
No complains about their training and infrastructure.

Amazing staffing organization.

I am really happy that I was a part of Synergisticit as a consultant. The training was really good. I used to attend 5 hours of training in a day and after that we used to work together till 5 in the evening on our assignments. The batches were small and all of the batchmates were very focused so it was esy for us to get a project.
The marketing team also did a goos job. We get calls till we join the client site.
Great guest house. Everything was taken care off.

1)The technical screening is very hard. So its not even easy to get into their training.
2) The training is not easy - 5 hours of training and after that we have to put in 4 hours.
3)Marketing is super fast. All you do in a day is to talk with clients and vendors.

Very good trainers and study material.
I was with them for 2.5 months (training and placement) and working in San Francisco. The trainers are really very good.
Good training
Weekly skill assement test
Too much to study after the training
Professional trainers
Individual attention
Small batches

I had been wanting to start my java training ever since I enrolled myself with my masters, however, most places will not allow you to start until you graduate or have your CPT/OPT in hand. I've always been the believer that the earlier you start the better, so I did a lot of online research trying to find places that have good online classes for Java. This place is the only one that really teaches the skills for facing an interview, with more of practicals. They have a pretty intense exam/interview to get into the class, which I appreciate because I want myself to be on the same level as my classmates. The trainers are HIGHLY knowledgeable as they all compete with the other trainers and are certified. I feel extremely confident in asking them any questions I might have. Each class has only 5-6 students, which is fantastic because I can have a really hard time focusing if there are lots of students in the class. It also allows for one on one time with the trainers. I am extremely pleased

I have been with them for 6 months now.I am working in Austin with a very big client.
Their training is really good. Before joining
I spoke with few candidates and they also gave me a very good feebdback and their placement program.
If you want to go for Java i would recommend Synergisticit.

working with them on a project for last three months, with a client in seattle, 12 months position. One thing is there, salary is always on time. That does matter a lot. Was with some other company before them, never got paid on time. thankfully they are decent enough!! Got opt ext also right on time

I had a very good experience working with them. They make sure you are placed with reputed clients. They also provide all the support for CPT,OPT students and help you in filing H1-b.

Good training
Weekly skill assessment test
Too much to study after the training
Professional trainers
Individual attention
Small batches
Am local so I don??t know about their guest house
After training - everyday assignment till you get a project
You can live in the office and study as long as you can
Good marketing team
Crazy submissions and calls
On time payment- covering all expenses
good follow up with consultant

Its a lot of work. They market you only when you are ready. No short cuts so do your home work from day 1.

The training is very good. Its nothing like a training training kind , you get real hands on exp. When I joined them I thought I was really good in core java, but once I started my training it was totally a different page. I can tell you that they are really good at it and I had to also work very hard.
I could not wait to start my marketing. Marketing is a different level and you have to know everything really well. They line up interviews all day. when it actually started I was a little stressed out. I had to focus so much on each and everything. They pay attention to details. So whatever you speak matters.
It took like a weeks?? time for me to analyze things and then i got it.
My interview was the coolest one. I prepared so hard for it and all they asked me was very basic questions where there is no wrong answers to it. The manager was a super nice guy who kind of walked me through their project and also made me feel comfortable. I would not consider this as an interview itself.

I finished my training on Java 3 weeks back, was surprised how well they trained and prepared me for interviews. The trainer gave assignments which made me feel confident. Training covered all the topics from basics to advance. Trainers are so hardworking that you may ask them a question 10 times also they will try to explain each and everything time, I did that!!? After this excellent training I felt very relaxed giving interviews and got place within a week.

Isaw their ad on Sulekha.com. They did a pre-screening to know how much of skills I had on Java. Once the pre-screening was done, I was called for an in-person interview. Their trainers were very knowledgeable in Java. The recruiter was very transparent in her communication and was able to place me at a clients place in just a month after my training was completed. Their payment was also on time and never had an issue.

Very good trainers and study material. Their trainers are very knowledgeable and they have like 5 of them. There is no doubt it??s a lot of hard work (with all the assignments and 3-4 hours of training everyday going on) once you put efforts, they will find you a job. They have such an excellent marketing team and in practically no time they will find you a job. Their placement rate is really very good. They provided really good training, highly professional work atmosphere. I do not have any complaints against them.
