I showed up Sunday morning around 11:30am and waited to be seated outside for only a few minutes.

I asked the waitress if she would recommend the vegetarian reuben. She barely said a word about it other than it was a sandwich (brilliant).

Millie's is a fantastic choice for breakfast or lunch in Silver Lake. Try the Eleanor R. special for breakfast -- the rosemary potatoes with eggs, cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream will get you coming back for more. Another highlight

Hung over? Go to Millie's. Servers have attitude, the food's got kick, and you'll be next to the finest that hipsterdom has to offer. Seriously--it's kind of ridiculous. As for the food, it's good; lots of grease to soak up the party suds from the previous night.

For years I enjoyed the food at Millie's sister location in Richmond, VA. So, when able to visit Los Angeles I had a destination in mind. Neeedless to say I was not disapppointed, but I will say it anyways, I was not disappointed!

It's true the place is not pristine, and that parking can be a hassle, but the food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is dependable. I especially like the breakfast scrambles and tuna melts. Yum!

My boyfriend just brought me there a few weeks back and I have to say Millie's is one of the best breakfast spots I've tried in all of LA. It's inexpensive and everything seems homemade. I love it.

I love Millie's. I love their vigorous anti-cellphone ethic. I love that various incarnations of the communal hole-in-the-wall diner have been serving up grub to area eccentrics since 1926 (when it was purportedly called The Devil's Mess). I love the eclectic mix of the diners. I love that my baby and I can walk the dog up Sunset Boulevard from our house on Sunday mornings and load up on fresh big scrambles such as the Devil's Mess and the Millie's Special while simultaneously waking up and coolingdown with iced coffee that rocks.

This place is so bad it makes Denny's seem like gourmet fare. They use freeze-dried onions in their omlettes. The food was so bad I had to write a letter to management reminding them they were in the taste business.

Cool hangout but the cleanliness. Watched a waitress stick her thumb in her mouth to lick off sour cream then used the same thumb to swipe sour cream off the serving spoon back into the tub. Dirty utensils and dishes. Just another "FAD"

This place puts the grease in greasy spoon. I've been there twice and was turned off by the semi-clean silverware and dishware both times. Not sure about the hygiene of the staff either.
