Too much money but it is a great place for families. The price of a ticket is very high compared to most other theaters. But if you go during the early afternoon you can get some great deals. Its a great place to hangout to play video games and drink a coffee too.

Way too expensive for a movie! If you are taking a bunch of kids to the movies this place will break the bank!

Like many of the other reviews...this place has the POTENTIAL to be a great theatre however it is NOT. I almost always have my showing interrupted and ruined by some immature uneducated punk who can't appreciate a movie for what it is and instead has to show himself to others in the theatre who don't care for his childish and senseless actions.

I HATE going to this theatre but just go because I don't really have any other choice the rest of the theatres in Fremont/Newark are extremely old.

This is one of the nicest and largest theaters I have been to. I go to the movies more than anyone I know, so I am an expert if you like. Although the building is clean and well maintained it is not supervised in any way by the hired employees. No security to be seen. The main thing I noticed was younger kids under 15 watching rated R films alone and yelling and swearing through out the entire film. They were drinking booze in the back and I did get a whiff of marijuana. Where were the ushers or security? Many people paid to watch the film and it was all but ruined by about 20 different punks. Ghetto wanna be gangsters. I am not an old grouchy man by any means, I am but 31 years old. What's wrong, can't the hired hands handle the younger crowds that somehow get in to watch the restricted movies? First off they should not even be in those particular films. It is illegal without an adult. This theater needs more staff that does their jobs or this place is doomed. Oh yeah, you might want to check ID's at the ticket counter like you're supposed to. :(

I just want the management to know that people from the respectable neighborhoods south of the theater are not coming here any more, and I'm sure that's a big financial loss. I just left the theater tonight and spent the entire movie asking people to politely stop talking and/or yelling at the screen. ( This wasn't even a movie you'd expect loudness in.) I had to go look for a guard three times before any effective action was taken. From a purely financial perspective I'd recommend keeping guards in the theaters at all times. This just wasn't enjoyable, probably for everyone there but the rude ones, and I'm sure a lot more people won't come back. I'd be happy to reconsider if the management indicated that they were going to take the problem a lot more seriously, but from what I saw tonight that seems unlikely.

Century Theater is the biggest movie theater I have even seen. It has many movies playing at once. The screens are huge and there are many seats in each theater. The seats are very comfortable also. Though the food and snacks are very expensive, their popcorn is delicious! It is a great place to go with friends.

The screens are huge and the sound system is excellent. This theatre is located inside of a large plaza with restaurants and a couple stores. It is also just a few minutes away from Logan High School. Obviously, that means it will be brimming with teenagers. For all these reasons plus the fact that it is a really nice theater, this place is a madhouse.

What I don't like about this place is that they won't let you pay with credit cards. It's very inconvenient. Otherwise the seats are clean and comforatble and they have a good selection of movies. The consessions are slightly more expensive than other places too.

By far the largest and most modern theater in the area, this is quite a popular hangout for both teenagers and adults. In fact, its so popular that you'll probably have trouble finding parking on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as on the opening weekends of the more popular flicks.
The building is very clean and well-maintained and still looks quite new.
I always enjoy the stadium seating and comfortable chairs, and the armrests can be moved up or down depending on how close you want to sit to the person next to you.
It's a bit pricey (almost $10 a ticket), but you're paying for the experience as well as the movie itself.

PROS: clean, well maintained theatre
CONS: expensive

This theater is one of the largest in the area, if not THE largest. It's got a whopping 25 screens, as you can tell from the name. This is a hot spot for movie lovers of all ages and tends to get really crowded on the weekends. If you go on a weekday during matinee, it's actually quite peaceful. The theater set up is really nice, it looks brand new still and the colors are vibrant and attracive. It is easy to spot friends across the huge welcome lobby with high ceilings. This theatre offers all the conveniences you'll need, automatic ticketing, fundango booth, easy return desk, video arcade, good-sized snack concession stand, several bathrooms, etc. The chairs are really comfy, they look like airplane lounge recliners. The sound system and screen size are impressive.

PROS: everything except the high prices
CONS: if you don't like crowds, head to a smaller theater instead

Century 25 is a great theatre in union city. it is the largest in north america with 24 theatres on the first floor and the 25 on the second. there is an arcade, bathrooms, concession stands, and customer service area that can accomodate any of your needs. tickets can get a little pricey, with adults paying 9.75, and seniors and children paying about 6-7.00. children qualify up to age 12. matinees let everyone come in for about 6 or 7 dollars. they always have the latest movies out with showings almost all day so everyone can watch. next to the ticket area they conveniently have a ratings system that lets you decide whether to bring your kids to a pg 13 movie or let them go on their own to a g. there are employees walking around all the time to help if needed, and secuirity in front.

PROS: lots of seats
CONS: ticket prices

this place was horrible. the parking was THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD. this area is very nice and newly developed for a couple of years. it has been taken over by the teenagers...literally. it's overcrowded with teenagers every single day. the movie theatre itself is nice and decent. a little messy though.

If you want to catch a movie here then you would have to plan an hour in advance to find parking. I suggest that you don't even try looking for parking and park where you know there will be hardly any cars like Lowes. You would have to walk there but its not too far. Just get there at least 30 mins before your movie so you could find parking and get to the movies in time. The good thing about this theater is that it is surrounded by many resturants to chose from like fresh choice, fundruckers, ihop, chilies, texas road house, sushi boat, chinese food, pasta pomodro, starbucks, jamba juice, krispy kremes, etc. They also have borders near by. The snack bar is decent just like any other movie snack bar. Its a decent movie theater to watch your movies. Its not that big or small but its still good.

This theather has 25 screens, so chances are, if you want to see a mainstrem flick, it will be playing here.

Another big advantage of this theater is the multitude of dining options in the same strip mall - steakhouses, healthy food (Fresh Choice), sushi, fast food (Quiznos, In and Out Burger), casual dining-- you name it, it's probably here.

The downside of all these dining options, is that parking is absolutely horrendous. Especially for a suburban movie theater. I guess too many stores, too few parking spots is the problem.

So I suppose the word of advice here is arrive early, drop your friends/family off at the convenient curbside drop-off/pick-up spot, and bring your walking shoes, because you'll probably have quite a hike.

This is the only theater in Union city therefore it can get extremely crowded. They have a wide selection of movies to choose from. The latest and most popular movies are shown here. A huge place with a big lobby and various snack bars. But go early toget in line.

While the overall building is nice, with a huge lobby and large ticket counter -- the parking is atrocious. It has always been difficult to find adequate parking with all of the other combined store traffic, but the traffic routing was redirected afteran burger joint and Lowe's home improvement store were added. Snack bar is ok, featuring the usual movie food fare, as well as some gourmet coffees and ice cream. One cautionary tip, wait for the movie and credits to completely end before leaving the theater. The house lights don't fully come up until then and I've seen many numerous missteps and falls by theater patrons on the steps leaving the movie....some even requiring an ambulance to be brought in.
