.

I responded to an online add announcing ??open interviews.? I arrived punctually, and generally enjoyed the interview process. I fully participated in the process and gave honest, thoughtful answers to the questions posed by the manager, Anna.

Outside of the group interview setting, however, Anna??s behavior was markedly less cordial. She asked me if I had a resume; I did, and handed it to her. She then informed me that I would also have to fill out the store??s application. I agreed, but requested she return my resume, if only briefly, so I would be able to verify addresses and phone numbers. At no point did she return my resume. Another applicant and I remained and completed the store??s application. Anna was somewhere in a back room, she hadn??t specified another person with whom to leave the application, and a line had formed at the cashier, making me reluctant to distract anyone behind the counter. Finally, after waiting approximately fifteen minutes, Anna reappeared. As I approached her to hand her the application, she began rapidly walking towards the exit. As I handed her the application, I again requested that it be matched with the resume I??d already given her. Without responding verbally, or even making eye contact, she took the application, continued walking passed me, and handed the application to another random employee, one uninvolved in the group interview. Not a further word was said to me by either.

Anna??s behavior was pointedly rude, deeply unprofessional, and personally humiliating. I am not without various other career opportunities, but until this experience, I had always so enjoyed Anthropologie that I hoped to downshift to a part-time, fun work environment. It is entirely reasonable if, after evaluating my answers and reviewing my work experience and education, Anna decides I am not the right employee for Anthropologie. Proper etiquette in this situation would be to contact me privately and inform me you are pursing other options.

Not only has Anna??s attitude soured me on working at Anthropologie, I will no longer be visiting that store as a customer. Perhaps she can manage basic manners only when I am spending money there. I??d rather not risk it, though, and there are no shortage of lovely stores in Seattle. Anna should have considered that while she might not have found me an ideal employee, as an early-thirties professional woman, I fall firmly within your core sales demographic; as do my friends and neighbors. I lack retail experience, but I am trained to argue a position. Therefore it will not be difficult at all to convince my wide social and professional network that sincere, polite customer service, general courtesy even, cannot be found reliably at your University Village location.

Anthropologie is the perfect girl store. Well - it would be more perfect if everything was less expensive...but I'm not being picky. This store has great clothing, home decor, fun gifts, and is just generally AMAZING! I get lost in the store for hours, and upstairs there is a section of sale items that always grabs my attention....

I love this store, it is absolutely the epitomy of fun, girly, items. It is a large store with everything from clothes to house items. Guys need not enter. A lot of the furniture is shabby chic and the clothes are cute and frilly. Most everything is unique. When they have sales, the clothes are very reasonably priced too. Otherwise some items can be a little spendy, but all in all not bad. There's also one located in University Village if you are not as close to downtown.

The clothes at Anthropologie are really cute. The style is funky/romantic - but the prices are not so great. A little on the pricy side. The upside is that they are very nice and pretty. The staff at times is very helpful - depends on what time you are there though....

I stopped by Anthropologie in the Village, just meaning to swing through, but ended up spending a good while inside, just browsing the sales racks and wandering the aisles. This store has great atmosphere and stocks feminine, vintage-inspired clothes with lots of delicate details. The normal prices are usually too high for my budget, but I was pleased to see a lot of good stuff on sale. Whether you're shopping for a special occasion or gathering ideas to craft up your own wardrobe, this is a great place to look!

Anthropologie is a great place to go for really nice clothing. It's not so popular that everyone you know will own the same thing, a rarity in this day and age. Their pieces seem one-of-a-kind and once-in-a-lifetime. I'm convinced that if I walk away from something I want, I'll regret it the rest of my life and never find an acceptable substitute. The store is beautiful and huge and I always leave with way more than I intended to buy.

Anthropologie has such a variety! Not only do they have obsure, in-style clothing (I especially like their dresses and sweaters) they also have great accessories like jewelry, as well as some really cool furniture. They also carry fun things like pajamas and weird things like door/drawer knobs! You will pretty much find a wide selection of thing you won't find anywhere else! Their items are always in style, but you pay for style in the price!

I was a huge fan of Urban Outfitters while I was growing up. Anthropologie is the older more sophisticated sister of UO and has a lot more to choose from. The housewares section is fascinating, with small things to check out all the time! Just imagine how difficult this place is to set up, with even the furniture for sale! I love the dressing rooms and everyone is incredibly nice-not snobby. Somethings are overpriced but check out the sale racks for great deals...

I have enjoyed walking through Anthropologie for years. The original store in Seattle was in University Village. The store always has interesting styles, great sales, and a nice ambiance. That said, the prices on regular priced merchandise are normally so high, I wouldn't think of buying anything unless I really loved it. The store downtown is also nice, but I suggest checking out the sale racks on the second floor for stuff you might actually decide to buy.

Anthropologie makes all girls want to be elegant?the clothes, the accessories, the random goodies?everything is gorgeous and creates a feeling of nostalgia for old times (even if you never lived them). Some of the most beautiful clothes I've ever seen have been in this store?also some of the most extravagant prices. Only shop the sale rack?everything else is overpriced, though it can be quite inspiring!

This store is one of my favorites to walk through. It's they have some of the nicest looking clothes I have seen.I also love the selection of accessories. I can find unique items to complete an outfit here. Sometimes I just go to browse the store, and end up buying something. Although the prices are pretty high, you can always shop the sale rack. Not to mention you get what you pay for.

If you've never ventured into the beautiful, antiqued world of Anthropologie, you should. While the store carries only the most expensive and of course dry-clean-only clothing, the skirts and shirts and shoes are gorgeous and inspiring. They also carry home decor, from curtains to coffee table lit to candles to random, eccentric knick-knacks. You might want to trail a thread behind you, cause you're likely to get lost in the huge store full of beautiful things.
