I took my nieces and nephews here and I had been here with them before and loved it, but it seems like they have not added or changed anything. I wished they could add more information about the types of fishes and maybe have some hands on activities for the kids to enjoy. Over all I had a good time.

i was disappointed in many areas. there are many things mentioned that i did not see. yes the rain forest experience was nice, but the admission was not worth it. I was expecting to see more for what i paid, and the gift shop was really over priced. i dont think it should be called an aquarium, its more of a small inside zoo. I will not return and nor will i recommend it to anyone.

Every time I have been it has been a nice adventure. There are so many cool animals, including a Sloth!!! There are huge tanks with all kinds of fish, and even an under view of where the birds stay. The turtles in this area are the size of a Hummer, I swear. It is just a lot of fun!

This is one of the nicest aquariums Ive been too. The animals are so close and always active. You feel like you are walking through a jungle. The place is clean and well kept. There are a lot of staff there teaching you about all the different animals. Even though it is an aquarium they have jaguars, moneys, and birds. It is expensive, but worth the money

This is a little pricey, but totally worth the money. Plan to spend all day there, and bring a camera. I love that the fish, but the birds were my kids favorite. It was so interesting and fun.

The Dallas World Aquarium is one of the better aquariums I have been to. They have tons of tanks with fish from all over the world. The have a great tank that has electric eels in it with a meter to show electricity. They have a penguin area where you can watch them swim and then see them on land. The admission is average for a family of four and it is worth it because you can make a day out of the aquarium.

From the outside the Dallas World Aquarium you don't think it has as much to offer as it does. They have so many tanks and even have penguins! They have a rainforest area that is neat and they have lizards and frogs in there too. They have sharks that my neice loves to watch. It is so worth the price. Don't rush thru-- take your time and soak it all in. You can spend a good 5 to 6 hours there looking at all the exhibits!

Great place to take a date or family. The kids love it and it is very beautiful and fun if you need a unique date experience too. It is very relaxing to watch and neat to see animals you might not ever see in the wild!

This place is definately worth the trip. I loved all of the different fishes and reptiles that were on display. I got to see exotic fish, eels, and crocodiles, which was amazing. The gift shop is also very good and the prices are very reasonable. It's very colorful, which is probably the thing I liked best about it.

PROS: colorful, gift shop, good prices
CONS:

The Dallas World Aquarium is wonderful. It is in downtown Dallas and very easy to get to. There is plenty of parking and the hours are very good. It is a little expensive for a large group but worth it for a day out . They have so many fish I have never seen and each tank is wonderful and makes it look as natural as possible. I love spending hours there walking around. The aquarium is very well kept and a great place to take the kids. It can get crowded- so go early.

It is a nice aquarium in the dallas area. Tehey have pleanty of fishes and animal. There are so many different types of animals, and you can get up close to them. they haveunnels and port holes where you can sit and almost touch the fish. I like going there. ticket prices are little bit on highere side. They have lots of different types of animals from all over the world. but it is not a cheap place to go to. It is ok to ok to once or twice. You can not go their regularly. I have been there only twice.

I really had a great time the last time we went to this. They have tons of different types of animals from all over the world. It isn't cheap to get in this place though. Also, if there are a lot of people there it can get pretty crowded. It's a great experience though.

The Dallas Aquarium has always been a favorite of mine--there's so much to see and it is very well laid out. You can walk through a 22,000-gallon (83,280 l) tunnel to experience what it's like to live in the reef. There are ten 2,000-gallon tanks that display marine life from Palau, Southern Australia, Lord Howe Island, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Bahamas, British Columbia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Japan. Admission is $15.95 for adults and $ 8.95 for kids, 12 and under. The only major drawback is that it is kind of pricey, but the place itself it great.

PROS: Beautiful!
CONS: Kind of expensive

This is a very nice place to go see the marine life. They have a vast collection of sea animals to view. The colors of the many fish are very beautiful. This is a nice place to take the entire family. The kids will love looking into a world they rarely see.

We visited the Dallas World Aquarium after being very disappointed by the one at Fair Park. This is a nice Aquarium - but a bit small I think and quite expensive for what you get to see. The highlights for us was the tunnel that you see fish all around you and also the penguins from cape Town South Africa are a big hit for us - brings back a bit of home! There is a restaurant to eat in which I hear is good but we have not yet done that. I think it is a nice place to go visit if you have not been to an Aquarium in a while. It is not a whole days trio and can normally be seen in about 1 hour.

My friends and I are more the mall crowd than the museum type, but we love to catch the train downtown on the weekend and hang out at Dallas World Aquarium. There are so many different types of animals, and you can get up close to them. I love the tunnels and port holes where you can sit and almost touch the fish. The penguins here are totally cute, too. Be sure to come around feeding time as they are precious then.

When we had relatives visit Dallas, we took everyone to the Dallas World Aquarium. Everyone initially complained about the price, however once we were inside, it was well worth the price of admission.

Our ages ranged from 5 to 79, and everyone had a favorite part. Our daughter's favorite was watching the giant manatee swim around and observing them from the big window underground.

Grampas favorite was the fact that they sold cold beer.

My favorite was the penguin feeding and the HUGE octopus. I've never seen one so big, and we were lucky to visit on a day when the octopus was very active.

This place is a really neat place to go. I love going here and just seeing all of the different types of animals that live in the water. They have so many massive tanks that house so many different fish. If you want some thing to do that is different from other things then this is the place that i suggest that you go. I know that some of the fish were bigger then my kid. I think it was a pretty cool experiance plus the people here are just so nice also. This place is deffinatly worth the money.

If your kids are old enough to like staring at a smaller aquarium, let them see two story high aquariums. Easy access to get to, but a touch on high price.

When the Dallas World Aquarium opened in downtown, I thought it would be a waste of my time. Since Dallas already had an excellent aquarium, I figured there was little need for this facility. I was wrong. The Dallas World Aquarium is so much more than fish.

There are plenty of fish, however. With more than 85,000 gallons of saltwater filled with everything from jellyfish to sharks, there's an impressive amount of animals swimming around. But if fish aren't your thing, you can climb through a lush rainforest to experience and learn about rainforest creatures, greet noisy, colorful, tropical birds, watch delightful penguins playing and feeding, or check out the Mundo Maya exhibit.

PROS: Educational family outing with many things to do
CONS: Sometimes crowded, a bit expensive

When you visit the Dallas World Aquarium you will find much more than just fish. While this world-class collection includes rare jellyfish, octopi and sharks, it is also home to rainforest birds, reptiles and penguins. With tanks that arch overhead and run floor to ceiling, the Aquarium provides hours of peaceful communing with a myriad of denizens of the deep.

PROS: Outstanding educational opportunity for young and old alike
CONS: Pricey and sometimes crowded

The Aquarium has a collection of about 6,000 animals, including salt and freshwater fish, reptiles, and more. They offer special events and attractions for guests each day. Throughout the week except Monday, you can watch talks on different topics of aquatic life, and see animal feedings. There is also a small viewing area in the Aquarium's research area, where they conduct ongoing conservation and research projects, including a breeding lab for rare and endangered species.

This zoo is awesome. It is very easy to get to. The children's zoo is so amazing. The little one will love it. The parking deck is the biggest building in Texas, that is kind of neat. The animal look amazing. They have a ton, they also let you watch them do the feeding at certain times during the day. That is awesome to see.

The Dallas World Aquarium recently played host to a field trip for my daughter's first grade class. While we found the experience both educational and entertaining, it was also a bit pricey. Admissions are $8.95 for children ages 3-12 and a whopping $15.95 for adults.
In spite of the cost, this was definitely a great experience for the children as well as myself.

Great educational and fun place to visit. The rainforest room is my favorite! I could stay in there all day! Only a few of the animals are caged, the others fly around, climb the trees, and hop right up to you.
