I was looking online for days trying to figure out which vet to take my dog to. When I called Kirkland Animal Hospital Lynn didn't give me the lowest price I had heard, but she listened to my problem and did everything she could even over the phone. Because of her "Let's get your pet better" attitude from the first moment I don't think I'll go anywhere else. Lynn helped me when I didn't have the means to get my Kaylee to her, and she's continued working with me. Dr.Brisbois tried everything he could before he had to refer me to a specialist and I can't thank him enough for all the help. I love this place, and I recommend it to everyone I meet.

I have been taking my "babies" to Kirkland Animal Hospital since 1989. Our first dog out here had his initial shots and follow-up care there. They were and are helpful, compassionate and invest themselves in to each situation. When my beloved KC had to be put down while out on the road, they sent us a sympathy card. We now have two rescue dogs, and I would not dream of taking them anywhere but there. When my adult kids moved home, I insisted they take their dogs there. When their cat got sick, again, first place I thought of. Thank you so much...

I have taken my pooch to Dr. Lee for all of her life (nearly 14 years). He and his staff are salt of the earth. They treat me and the dog with respect and at a level I find perfect for our needs. He doesn't go overboard, but is always responsive to my concerns and has done several surgeries for injuries on her over her life -- in fact extended her life recently by removing some oral tumors. The building is not the fanciest, newest building in the area, but the care inside is excellent!

$$$$$$overpriced took dog for tumor type removal wanted to charge approximately $3500.00. Then decided to take dog to 2 more vets with good reviews to receive estimates actual surgery cost was $489.00. They may be nice and friendly but doesn't mean you can price gouge people.

The squirrel person is referring to the 24hr emergency clinic across the street. My family has been taking our pets (5 in all) to this clinic even before Dr. B was there (approaching 30 years), and have nothing but positive things to say about them. Dr. B is the best part of all those years.

I have been a customer here since about 1995, and I love them! Dr. Brisbois takes a common-sense approach to any 'malady' that appears, and my cats actually purr when he handles them! I highly recommend them, and will continue to bring my purrbabies to them for years to come!

After I began questioning the competency of a previous vet's care, I researched veterinarians and settled on this animal hospital. I have not been disappointed.

We adopted a kitten suffering from severe kitty cold, which was not getting better under the previous vet's care. Immediately Dr. Brisbois impressed us with his medical competency, explaining that the antibiotic prescribed by the other vet would damage the kitten's teeth and switched us to a better option. The kitten finally got the treatment he needed and was healthy in a week.

A short while later, we noticed our other kitten had a lump which turned out to be a vaccine reaction tumor. In the process of diagnosing the cat's condition, Dr. Brisbois' treatment was responsible, beginning with a conservative treatment in hopes of a non-invasive cure. Eventually, it was agreed that the tumor needed to be removed, and he did a wonderful job. Because the Dr. is so thorough, we also discovered, in the course of treatment, a minor health issue that we were able to correct before it progressed. After this care, the kitten is healthy and is finally energetic and playful.

Dr. Brisbois was also informative, explaining both cat's conditions thoroughly so we could make informed decisions about their care. He was also patient with our questions arising from internet searches relating to the condition.

Overall, treatment is pricey, but with such positive outcomes, I feel the price is a good value.

We only had two minor frustrations. It was sometimes difficult to get a hold of the Dr. to discuss continued treatment, and the office hours make it difficult to coordinate treatment and work schedule.

I've been a happy client of Kirkland Animal Hospital for about 10 years, and have trusted the great team there - Dr. Brisbois, and team Lynn, Jim, and Tej with the health and happiness of my two dogs in both emergency and non emergency medical situations. They know and take great care of my dogs, and are always very helpful and caring. There is an after hours animal emergency clinic located ACROSS THE STREET from Kirkland Animal Hospital, which is only open after 6pm weeknights, and all weekend - which perhaps confused the poster who sought emergency after hours treatment for the baby squirrels. I have taken each of my dogs there on different occasions for emergency treatment outside of Kirkland Animal Hospital's regular hours; and found the vets and team there also very helpful and knowledgeable - and one of my dogs is alive today due to the emergency animal vets' surgical skills - so I do recommend them both.

Since I use Kirkland Animal Hospital and have done so for many years I thought it only fair to defend - Kirkland Animal Hospital is NOT an emergency Hospital - nor have there been any female vets there for several years - nor are they open "after hours". As a long time client I value their services and their knowledge. I recommend them to friends, family and other pet owners on a regular basis.

About a year ago, I found some baby squirrels, only a few days old, in my back yard, who were very close to death. I didn't know anything about caring for baby squirrels, so I immediately went to the emergency clinic named Kirkland Animal Hospital. Granted these baby squirrels who didn't even have hair or their eyes open are considered wildlife, I received a very condescending, and unwelcome greeting from the vet. She basically took one look at them and said we don't treat wildlife and basically said she had real cases to treat.

I had only known these squirrels for less than an hour, but had much more compassion for animals in need than this vet, who had committed herself to years of school to save the life of animals. After being turned away, I quickly researched what I needed to do, since they were minutes away from dying. I saved their lives and eventually found a great wildlife center where they could live out their lives. Even though it was a lot of work, it paid off ten fold. It was amazing that they each had a different personality. When they finally opened their eyes, they were able to snuggle up to my neck. They were extremely sweet.

To summarize, the vet could have easily taken a look at them. Trust me, they weren't a danger to society at that stage, but she considered them unworthy. No thanks to her, I was able to save them. If she could be that cruel with one type of animal, I can only imagine what she's like with "worthy animals". I only went there, because it was after hours. Given a choice, I would never go there again.

PROS:
CONS: Condescending, unhelpful vet

with their service and the way they
treat their pets.
