Lake Harriet Commons

This is the place we go without our kids ofcourse leaving them at grandparents house.Me and my husband stroll through the rose garden walk around the lake and listen to concerts eating ice creams.This is the most romantic place near my place and our favourite.This place is like heaven during summer.

Going down and waling around Lake Harriet is so relaxing. Great place to bring a date since you can do alot of learing about each other. Wonderful views of all surrounding areas. Fun time fishing even if it is from the shores!

I love coming here with my wife. We enjoy coming here and laying the blanket down, just to sit and watch. The ducks on the lake is great. The homes are beautiful. There is also an area for concerts. The best part of that is it's totally free. From there you can enjoy the ice cream and other foods available. The rose garden is breath taking. It's the wifes favorite part.

Just walking in this neighborhood is a wonderful way to spend free time, especially in summer. Rose garden definitely is a must see, pure delight for entire family. Harriet Lake commons is a very pleasant, well taken care of, safe area this neighborhood is a real asset to Minneapolis. Oh, and cant beat the free concerts!

Lake Harriet Commons has several things to do. Concerts are frequently done here and are free which is nice. You can enjoy several outdoor activities such as canoeing, sightseeing and listening to great music. It will keep you busy all day---free fun! Fun for the whole family and something for everyone.

Bike around Lake Harriet for a 3 mile tour ... or walk the slightly shorter distance to take in the ducks on the water, great homes lining the beach, docking sailboats and the many allures of nature. On one side of the lake, find the little house at the base of a tree where you can leave a letter for a little "elf" and later return to find a response on tiny stationery. And on the other side of the lake, find the rose gardens with a wonderful selection to walk among... finally head to the bandstand where there are FREE concerts and the most scrumptuous icecream (vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry) or fresh popcorn!!! In the winter, try some cross-country skiing and hear the whoosh of the wind in the once breezy skies. You will not be disappointed.
