Having read all the glowing reviews, we were very disappointed to to be served mediocre steak and substandard side dishes. The service ranged from perfuntory to downright poor.

My husband and I ate at Bobo's on 6/16/11, expecting really good food with steak and steamed crab. Not so. My husband's sirloin was good, but not the best he's ever had, as some reviewers said. My petite sirloin was truly petite, about

After visiting Bobo's last Friday I made a promise to come back for their signature bone-in filet. I saw a waiter serving it to another table and it looked fantastic! Unfortunately I had only an hour to sip on delicious cocktails and bite

I adore Bobo's! It has a sort of creepy fun sexy decor. The whole place is covered in dark reds and black with creepy jesters everywhere. They have a beautiful bar that you just wish was bigger so that it could have a scene. The food is AMAZING! It is a little expensive but sooooo worth it. The steak (I recommend the the petit fliet) is dry aged and oh so tender and full of flavor. If you get the petit then you should have room to start. You can not go wrong with the mussels, and I'm not partial to mussels. They are served in a cast iron skillet with and amazing garlic butter dipping sauce. The warm olive bread is tasty. Get it. Every one of the sides that I've had have been super tasty. The crab is also really good but the Steak (and yes, that is a capital S) is way to good to pass up. Go there, eat it, and let your taste buds rejoice!

World class steaks and service. Filet was the best I ever had. And I'm from the Midwest. Wife had fish. She was happy. Blueberry margarita was phenomenal.

Valet was quick and free, seating was prompt (we had a reservation), orders were taken in a timely manner. The service was quite satisfactory, but simply what is to be expected from a restaurant in this price range. \r

We're the public relations team behind Bobo's and want to take a moment to highlight one of the top reasons to visit them when looking for a great meal: The bone-in filet mignon. It's the best in San Francisco and SF Weekly agrees

Best steak of my recent life. My wife and I went all out and got steak and crab and didn't ever look back, everything was perfect. I do a lot of business lunches and dinners and the next time I have to close a deal I am going to make it

I put Bobo's in the "another overrated SF restaurant" category. Granted, the steak was excellent - but the crab was overcooked, the crab cakes were small and relatively tasteless, and I'm not sure I even understand the garlic sourdough

Celebrated my birthday at Bobo's and had an excellent night. Everything was wonderful. The steak was amazing, service was friendly, and we enjoyed the warm, yet somewhat whimsical decor. Definitely will be going back. Thought I'd share

I was on a trip to SF for the week and my brother highly recommended Bobo's. There are some pretty good steak houses in the Los Angeles Area, but none of them compare to the steak at Bobo's. A lot of restaurants throw around the phrase

Forget Morton's and the other big steakhouses and get thee to Bobo's. Buttery, perfect medium-rare steak at its best. A twice baked potato doesn't hurt either. This place satisfied all my carnivorous cravings. Definitely going back.

I was very impressed with the quality of the food at Bobo's. I'm not much of a meat eater, but devoured my petit filet...and that was in addition to salad, bread, crab, and half-baked potatoes. Then to top it off, we got the pear tart

Tried this restuarand on a whim...It's quirky - decorated in a jester theme that borders on tacky. The tables are cramped and the lighting is dark but the food is fabulous. The crab is fresh and delicious - I've had both the whole crab and a crab salad - and the steak is tender and juicy (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like steak!)

PROS: great steak and crab
CONS: close quarters in the dining room, bad decor
