The matzo ball chiclen noodle soup was pretty good with shreds of real chicken, carrots, a nice broth and THREE light round matzos for a large container at $5, but didn't see ANY noodles! Took out all our food and it took >20 mins for them

This place isn't NYC but it's the closest thing you're going to get in SF. The matzo ball soup is delicious -- definitely recommended if you are under the weather or need some comfort food. The bagels are decent, great brisket sandwiches,

Yeah yeah yeah, we've all heard it before -- there are no good delis in San Francisco. There are no real bagels. So where's a nice Jewish girl to go to meet her craving for matzoh ball soup, corned beef and rye, and other Jewish goodies? Apparently to Russian Hill for East Coast West Delicatessen. Go check it out for a nosh.

If this is the best San Fran has to offer, it's truly unfortunate. I had the Hot Corned beef on Sourdough w/ havarti cheese and it was good, but the corned beef was very fatty and a bit oily. For $8 I thought the portion could be MUCH

I didn't mind paying a little extra for good deli. The french fries were really crispy, just the way i asked they be prepared. Food had good flavor. Staff was very friendly. It's worth the extra buck for a good kinish!
