I took in a frame and 20 nearly-all-used pieces of a bike I had collected from friends and elsewhere, and Hector of Velo assembled a gorgeous 15.7 pound (all-in) Orbea Starship Euskaltel team-issue bike with primarily Campagnolo Carbon Record componentry, with a few additional bits from the shop. Hector transformed some of the parts from, uh, not-so-pretty, to AMAZING. I picked it up yesterday afternoon and took it for a test spin. I am in heaven! I have been in the shop a number of times previously, and Velo has an incredible array of bikes, components, accessories, etc. I've bought some Assos gear here, and currently I am eyeing a Campagnolo bright yellow top cuz I figure I might as well go green one day a week and bike to work.

Pros: Knowledgable, experienced bike mechanics, wide variety of road/MTB bikes/components/etc

Cons: Good stuff isn't free, but the markeup is reasonable

Too obsessed with high end Italian equipment. Howver, they do have top notch equipment. Good selection of road and mountain bikes for crossovers like myself. Great place to shop if you don't need a lot of personal attention.

If your looking for Pro Bike parts you've come to the right place. Velo has every part a bike geek could want. The service is the best the mechanic in town. And the only place to get your wheels built.
