I had a surgery last Tuesday at the OCM hospital..this has been my first experience with the hospital & I absolutely loved it! It's a smaller hospital but It doesn't take away from Its competence,as a matter of fact that made me feel warmer & felt like home, especially that I had to stay there for a while. I met different staff members (& my doctor of course who came to check on me on a daily basis & for her I have a special thank you! ) everyone made sure I was very comfortable, warm & pain free, even the first day after I was released from the surgery room, my husband asked them to change the room for me & they did it very smoothly to make sure we're happy & comfortable.
I want to thank you ALL & I couldn't get all your names especially that I had been helped by so many nurses..& those who were so patient with me the first & second day of surgery...there was a nurse that I could only see pretty much a shadow of her because I was so drowsy..but she didn't stop coming to check on me & checked my vitals every so often..I really don't remember your name but you greeted me so warmly when you saw me leaving 2 days ago..I really wanted to give you a hug & thank you but I was still so disoriented.....YOU GUYS ARE ALL AWESOME! THANK YOU!!

I had myself transported by ambulance to the Orange Coast Memorial emergency room in late September, 2009, for moderate-severe lower back pain (2 bulging discs). I went by ambulance because the emergency room waiting time was in excess of 2 hours (their emergency room is undergoing renovations). When I arrived I was attended to by a physician's assistant (PA) and a nurse. I was never attended to by a doctor/ physician. I was given some pain medication and scheduled for a CAT Scan (at my request). After the scan I was given a prescription for medication and discharged. I am insured, when I checked my insurance provider's website to check what the cost of the emergency room visit was going to cost my plan, I was billed $4,138.00. This was only for the visit, my plan will be billed separately for the minimal PA & nurse care, the medication provided, the CAT Scan and radiologist time, and who know what else. I am assuming that the total bill will be in excess of $6,000.00 for a two hour visit to the emergency room. And trying to get a copy of your medical records requires another visit to the hospital during the business office's operating hours, M-F, 0800 - 1600 (4 pm) hours. I will be going somewhere else for my back surgery.

My OB/GYN was beautiful, caring, and smart. She always made me feel comfortable and reassured me that everything would be fine. During the night of my labor, she woke up at 4 in the morning and came to my rescue to deliver my daughter! I actually miss her, she was such a great doctor. The hospital is clean, and service is great. Everyone is so helpful, if I ever have a child again, I would love to deliver at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center!

My mom's obstetrician recommended my mother to give birth here at this hospital. He said that the workers here were nice and efficient and it was very peaceful and clean.

When we first came to get paperwork, we were lost and confused at what to do. A very nice nurse who didn't work in the office helped us and guided us. That gave a very nice impression. Later , when my mom stayed at the hospital, we would visit often, the workers grew to know our faces and greeted us warmly . The food that the cafeteria made for my mom was healthy and yummy (:

I came to Orange Coast Memorial at 2 a.m with my newborn. My child was suffering from croup. As a new Mother, I thought that the nurses would laugh at me. To the contrary, they told me that as a New Mother I made the right move by coming in. The equipment was up to date and very clean. The Dr. gave me some excellent advice on how to tackle my child's croup. The ER is very easy to find although the parking lot is rather small. However, we did not have much privacy as the curtains were not closed in.

Orange Coast Memorial Hospital is a very clean, physically beautiful, modern facility in Fountain Valley. My wife was admitted to this hospital for inpatient surgery and we were thrilled with the decision to have the operation here. Not only was the doctor very competent, but the staff was caring and polite. The rooms were bright and the floors did not smell "hospital-like". There is a nice cafeteria and gift shop, and the information desk is extremely helpful. My wife said that the attention fromthe staff was excellent and the food was pretty decent. The specialties offered at this site are limited (smaller hospital) but what you DO get is very good care.
