Casa Orozco has become one of the places to be seen in Livermore largely in part to the great design and ambiance of their new restaurant and their fabulous margaritas. If you're single or just need to kick back with coworkers after a long week, their bar is great.

However, I have always been disappointed by their food. I don't know how you mess up Mexican food (it seems like a no brainer to me) but every dish I've tried has been just OK. The servers in the restaurant also frequently get my orders wrong.

My recommendation: Stop for one of their awesome margaritas at their bar or on their enclosed outdoor patio, then continue on to one of Livermore's restaurants along first street for your meal.

The prices here are high for the quality of food. It is not that the food is bad, it is just the pricing is too high. The atmosphere is fun that is for sure, but the prices went up significantly after the remodel, and I don't really want to pay that much for their remodel.

The new digs are nice. The food remains to be as good as before.....i.e. typical mexican combo dishes with something above and beyond..i.e. some specialities...appeizers and seafood specialties above and beyond the typical mexican rest. The biggest improvement in the remodelled livermore location is the expansion of the bar...a very large tequila collection. Outside patio nice now, enclosed but open to the stars, with a gas fireplace for ambience.

When the chips/salsa come ask for the chipotle salsa if you want to kick it up a notch.

The dining area is a little reflective..so if you like bustle and hustle it's fine, but if your looking to relax in a quite place, opt instead for the patio.

I like the bar area, but sometimes the service there lags, so sit at the bar if your in a hurry.

PROS: Atmosphere, Expanded bar/Tequila selection
CONS: Reflective dining area can be noisy for some
