I've been a member for years and I love this store!

Hoolie is obviously a liar, they never call everyday. Like "C" said, they only ever call every other day, which I think is appropriate if you're keeping their product out past due. Have you never rented a book from the library? They send out emails all the time if you're late. It's the same thing.

Also, when I signed up for an account I was told the owner would never send me any mail or come to my house unless my credit card was not valid, so once again, another blatant lie from Hoolie.

I think the employees are really nice and helpful. They have a great selection of new and old movies. I'd highly recommend going to Video USA!

for a small business owner like the one at Video USA, the product is their livlihood. Every day you have his property out and he is unable to rent it out to someone else is a day he's losing money and potentially customers. i'm sure a lot of movies go missing, and if you had taken the time to call and explain the situation to someone i doubt anyone would have come looking for the movies. they probably assumed that no one had any intention of returning their products. what option did that leave (aside from charging the credit card) when you havent explained the problem to people you know for a fact are calling "every day"? maybe they were trying to help you out by collecting the movies from you because, for whatever reason, you couldnt bring them back on your own. people should really take a little bit more responsibility when things like this happen. i doubt they woke up one day and decided to just randomly harrass unsuspecting customers. just join netflix or blockbuster if you cant handle having to actually return something you BORROW. i've been a member there for years, and i know for a fact that they dont call "every day." they call every other day. which is much less frequent than any one else you could steal from. peace out hommies. support small business. even if they cant afford to sit by and let you walk off with their products.

Beware! I rented a couple of movies and was then out of town for a funeral. The movies ended up being 14 days late - according to phone records & messages on my machine, Video USA called everyday(this I can understand). However, Video USA crossed the line when the owner called 3x's one day. When The Owner called for the 3rd time, a family friend informed him I was in the shower and had returned from a funeral and would return the movies that day...at which point The Owner said he would call back in 30 min. THEN, he showed up on my DOORSTEP and said he would not leave without the movies. I was APPALLED! The owner of VIDEO USA crossed the line-I am a young recently widowed mother with a toddler at home...at any time, Video USA could have charged my credit card for the movies...but to COME TO MY HOUSE and REFUSE TO LEAVE even after being told on the phone the movies would be returned that day is INEXCUSABLE and absolutely crosses the line. I will NEVER give VIDEO USA my business again.
