the triple threat dj's and the local underground hip hop artists of San Francisco grace this place when they crave fresh Mexican food. Owned by one of the most respected hip hop dj's and his brother, Papalotes is the liveliest place to be for a fresh take on Mexican food

5The fare at this restaurant has both great flavor, and a very clean feel. Nothing felt too heavy or greasy at all. The service was excellent (the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful). Great location, great ambiance, and great

I love, love, love this place. The food is clean (no lard, not too greasy), and the salsa is spicy. Perfect for Saturday afternoons, after a Friday night out. Or take it to go and eat at home. Or take it to the park. Really, any time

I read about this place in a NY Times travel article, where it said that this was the best place for a vegetarian to get a burrito in the Mission. Now, I must admit, I haven't tried the veggie burritos at too many other places, but that's

This is one of the best - if not completely authentic - burrito places around. Awesome salsa, innovative burritos, and friendly atmosphere. Plus, if you call 10 minutes ahead, you can pre-order your food for it to be ready when you get

The food here is delicious, I have gone back there 10-15 times. The salsa they have there is out-of-this-world. Very cute, warm decoration. More of a lunch, afternoon place (at least I think of it that way). Service is not so quick

Papalote is a happening restaurant-taqueria in the Mission area. The food is excellent and prepared in a very healthy manner -- it is a favorite among local vegetarians and vegans. Not being a vegetarian myself, I love the flavorful,

As a vegetarian, I had many choices - the grilled vegetable burrito was great - the produce tasted fresh. It wasn't too heavy, and was low-priced. You have the option of eating there or taking out.

Papalote may have the best burrito in San Francisco. My personal favorite is the chicken burrito with black refried beans. The chicken is all white meat and pre-marinted to perfection. The black beans are unique and very tasty.

Papalote has great fish tacos. The owner is pleasant, the place is clean, and they offer a good beverage selection. We keep coming back to buy the guac for gatherings.
