My headline says it all. Nice informal place to squeeze in and eat great sushi and sashimi. My wife and I drive in here from very far away to line up at the front door before opening time, get a table, drink some sake , and then go over to

Service is great. We were promptly seated. Orders taken and delivered without delay. Lots of choices so those who don't like "raw" food can enjoy the meal too. Very reasonable prices.

This place definitely would not be my first choice to eat sushi but if you are in Oakland this is the only place i would know to go have sushi. This place is relatively expensive in my opinion but a lot of sushi places are expensive anyways. The food is OK and the service is a little slow. However the good thing i like this place is the decorations. I love the style and the benches and the silverware, the unique plates with special designs. Overall i wouldn't recommend this place.

If you work in downtown Oakland, Sushi Zone is a nice upscale alternative. They offer lunch combinations of Japanese restaurant staples (tempura, teriyaki, gyoza, sukiyaki), and of course sushi. It's not the best place around to get sushi, but if your tired of the same old same old... There's really nothing too remarkable about this place - other than maybe the ambiance.
PROS: sushi in downtown oakland
CONS: not very authentic - but still not too bad

this is one of our very favorite sushi places! the staff is friendly, there's never a wait to sit down, the tables are nice and big, they're open relatively late, there's plenty of cheap parking in the garage, and best of all - the food

fresh sushi in Oakland, yeah!
it's in chinatown, in a mall complex but what a find. the staff is very friendly, the menu is pretty creative and most importantly the sushi is fresh and not overpriced. feel free to ask for recommendations,

Great sushi...extremely fresh tasting. We had some premium Toro whose price was listed as "Market Price." It was our fault that we didn't ask the price, as the 2 pieces we had were $10. The up side is that the Toro was the most amazing,
